YAY Just got my final pin!!!!!!!!!!

How i did it:

Try to get in a server that has Arica Harbor with just around 20+ players And hope they like to camp in the mountains.

Why 20+ only and not 32? So that you can have the warthog all by yourself.

Why Camp?? So that there will be a lot of snipers running around.

Basically just run like forward over and over again until you get 3 roadkills. Paid well hahahah.

 

I can't seem to get the Insignia for Get all weapon bronze stars, but I have bronze stars on all the weapons!

 

GG's Ovreagr, I totally sucked until I started to use some other classes.

I guess its hard to be good at 2 games at once, my game of starcraft 2 just before I joined was the best one I have had.

I have to put my replay up on youtube later but just relized I have to be at work in like 6 hours so time for some sleep.

 

Definitely some good games! I wasn't playing all that well either there. Too much time spent trying to get all the weapon bronze stars!

 

I think there is a BUG with the GARAND.

Anyway just reached the 5 star general rank AND...

I'll be stopping for now. I have to spend more time with school work so i have to stop this.

The only regret here is that my rank in the leaderboards will be gone

Anyway my $28 i spent on this game is well spent.

I have a question if anyone knows. I seem to have a problem and cant put my shadow qual on Low.

If I do so, the game crashes. With shadows on med/high, object blink on and off quickly.

I have tried everything else, so Im almost positive it is shadow qual doing it.

I think you must have typed it wrong. Going to remove it from the friends list until you confirm, just re-submit the correct name.

Omg the chiclet keyboard of this G73 is ruining my game...

 

Anyone else think bullet speed in this game is a bit odd? Like you can see a sniper's bullet's flight? Some reason I think high powered sniper rifle bullets travel twice the speed as in this game, maybe 4 times the speed, no idea, but much faster.

Reading about sniper rifle accuracy and one of them being speed and holding speed for longer distances.

Edit: thinking about it more, this is probably good thing as I just got off a game where on each side out of 14 players 10 were snipers, 20 snipers made for game with no progression...

 

I don't know about speed, but accuracy is a little wonky. Getting sniped by a PKM halfway across the map? Hmmm.

And more cheating. I mean I got killed by a Neostad 200 from a very long distance. I mean enemies were small in my 12x scope distance.

 

Played a few games with some NBR members and we all got killed by people who are magically able to see through walls or something. No way we could have been seen, but one shot in the head...

 

i just got the game and as assault my first round was 7 to 1

 

has anyone eles tried the possible fix for the poor hit detection? its over at the ea bfbc2 pc forum. i noticed a big difference. aside from me getting pounded over the last hour people went down when i shot them. granted i have been playing on a HC server but they have never went down this easy.

 

What values did you use?

 

Yes, please share, you mean I can actually hit someone with a bullet when the gun sight is directly on them and they're standing still? Wow. That would be a nice change.

I may be like the crazy guy that claims to have been abducted by aliens, but I TOLD YOU SO! Dammit, perfect example. I wonder if some of these other people with better stats actually modified the file early since it's the same as other BF games.

As for me since that last update I do not think I have hit somebody with my knife even once :/ they really really broke the knife for me.

I also hate the sniper changes. Granted I took about a week off, but I never noticed my bullets moving so slow or dropping so much as they did the other day. I would have been better off sniping with a M16 rather than a bolt action sniper rifle.

 

That bullet fix didn't work for me at all... I played medic last night.. on conquest for a few minutes... Tired of the magically curving bullets. They seem to shoot around people. Like Angelina Jolie on WANTED. Oh well.. nobody wants to get a game right these days... who cares right? They already got your 50 quid. Later, StevenX

 

i replaced 45 with 30 since i usally join servers in the 15-31 range. I may lower it a little more. Its much better than it was but isnt fixed as a few guys turned around and killed me as i unloaded a clip on them with no effect.

On Atacama Desert, I can one-shot people at flag A while I'm on top of a building at flag C, or vice versa.

Just a friendly "heads up". I know you're excited to play a "Sniper" but that play style isn't very popular in most BC2 communities. Also, you will find it difficult to find room on wookie hill to do your sniping, it's pretty darn crowded up there.

 

PM htwingnut here for access to the NBR BC2/SC2 Teamspeak 3. Voice communication is disabled in BC2 atm, which is really really bizarre for a cooperative FPS game, but whatever... Get on the TS3. It makes this game infinitely more fun than just playing in silence.

 

Last couple of days I have seen 1 or 2 people on TS but they never talk. Its like they pick a game room and just go afk.

 

Yeah I know. I extended the TS server for another month but for only 10 players simultaneous since it seems we never exceed 3 so far, lol. Saved me $1.

The next release of the game client is currently in QA.

We will perform another synchronized client/server update. It is expected to take place early next week.

The client update will be roughly 500MB in size.

Yay! Looks like a nice list of updates. I like this one: "Client - Any points you get while being dead will be added to your score". Maybe I'll get a lot more tank kills and grenade toss kills in my stats now.

 

Why reduce negative mouse acceleration? Just remove it already...

 

yeap, does look like a very good list of updates, even though they are making mistakes they are constantly working to try and improve the experience for the user and i take my hat off to them for doing it....yeah only a few days before my internet cap is removed and i can online game again

 

hoped the fixed the crash to desktop....also i can play in DX9 again? i hope so.

 

Thank goodness, another patch. I hope that DX9 fix returns performance for me from before the last patch. It's just been hard getting any kills.

Points when dead is good too, Id probably be 2 or 3 lvls higher if it had always been that way.

Now the weapons mod.... I hope they post it in detail again like last time instead of leaving us in the dark.

How does the chat work??? To ALL or your team only when dead. I hope it is to enemy only so that you cannot tell your teammates that there are enemies where you were at.

 

They might as well since people with voice chat get that advantage already.

 

Yeah I agree, there is voice chat. Plus only talking to enemy would be pointless. The only people saying anything would be rage fit kids cursing about how cheap a kill it was.

Now some games only let you talk to other dead people, that makes sense. However since there is indeed voice chat and the sheer amount of time it would take to type a location and have it interpreted by your team I dont think its a problem.

"Hey guys somebody just shot me behind the large building on the west side, the one over by the water tower, I think he was going north"

By the time you could type that and somebody read it (if anybody as I cant read messages while in play) the guy would be long gone.

 

Last night, htwingnut, Osco, Tar and I had fun getting bombed and dying constantly.

We noticed since we were in a squad together and on TS, we got best squad almost every time for our team of wussies who were too afraid to disarm a m-com...

 

Yeah, that worked out pretty good, and on an HC server too! I even got best player for the round once, and got my pin. Yay! I have no idea how I managed to get best in round though, but I'll take it. LOL. That's what games like this are all about and I see now how clans do so much better. Communication, bottom line.

But when are they going to fix voice chat?

 

Haha, yeah we had a blast! SO much better when you can communicate with your team. I really like using TS. However, if they do add in/fix voice chat in game, they better put in a mute player feature!

If Sobek comes back in here, remind me to ask him about the cheaters on his team last night!

 

yea the biggest flaw with this game is the lack of communication by voice(which i hear very rarely) and chat. 99% of teh games i have played in, the chat has been dead silent. Plus there is not enough time at the end of round for jokes,gg, and other stuff. I mean this is a problem. It feels like im playing against a bunch of bots

It is usually the person moving around and do what he musts that gets the most points.

Specially if you switch between medics eng and Assaults most of the time.

 

Yeah, I frequently switch roles depending on the situation. But it doesn't usually work out that well for me.
