Lol, I'll probably get 2FPS on the lowest settings. Oh well, at least I have a good excuse to go Quad or maybe even Sextet core.

Played a bit last night with some of the HRGamers.com crew. Had a blast again!
At one point I, somehow, ended up behind the enemy position and got 8 quick kills in a row. 4 shotgun slugs to the head and 4 knife kills! That was the last combat excellence pin I needed for the badge/insignia! I am only missing 4 achievable insignias and, of course, the two bugged ones.

 

What are the 2 bugged ones?

 

Never more than 2 for me either with the mortar or with the UAV. I managed to get my best game 21-5 just a few mins ago. Don't think I have ever got a triple.

 

One of the best shots that i got was with a UAV.

i quickly saw the Heli in port Valdez being healed then a picture perfect shot with the missile

I killed 5 people with 1 mortar in Sla Inocentes heheh and i rarely use sniper . I just used that to get the 100 mortar kill pin.

Ghost AWP, I believe the two "bronze star" insignias are bugged due to one of the weapons not being tracked properly.
Distinguished Battlefield Knowledge Get all bronze stars and Distinguished Weapon Knowledge Get all weapon bronze stars.

 

I believe that since the M1 Garand is bugged (kills don't get logged), the 2 Medals (All bronze stars, and All bronze stars for weapons) are unattainable until the fix for the M1 Garand comes out. It'll be funny to see everyone playing with M1 Garand when the fix comes out to get the 15k+ points!

 

I played a few games last night and today and almost every server people were warping all over the place.

 

Warping is a definite issue. My biggest problem with all of this is all these issues are intermittent. It's not like every server warps, or a server that warps does it all the time. Or hit detection is off all the time. You could compensate for that. But it's all over the place, and no real apparent reason.

 

I'll have my new system up and running before the new patch is released by the looks of it...

 

I can't seem to get the "defend 4 flags" pin. That will allow me like three insignias once I do that. Very difficult indeed. Looks like the enemy has to be within the capture range and you already have the flag capped. Then have to do this for four separate flags, or a flag that has changed sides and back again.

 

yea, I remember that and the 4 MCOM destroys being quite frustrating as well. The only one I have left to get from the pins is the 3x Road Kill pin... not exactly easy with all the lag/warping issues.

CAMP that is the only way to get that. I think the easiest place to get this would be Arica because the flags are close to each other that you can see all of them defend them from quite far away.

go into a room with only a few people like around 12. sacrifice everything by just getting the humvee everytime you die. just be sure that you dont leave the humvee and have to die with it so the humvee can spawn right around the time you also spawn.

Road kills and boat kills elude me. So the M1 counts towards the "all weapons". That sucks. I can't get my veteran status approved. Don't remember any of my passwords from 2142 or BF2.
Speaking of 2142, I wish they would come up with a gameplay mode similar to "Titan Mode". That was awesome!

Go to isla inocentes and try to always use the boat's weapons. Go to the island near B and hide there and keep firing near B or at it's left side where snipers usually camp out. It is much better if you or someone else plants B.

 

There is a "trick" to getting the boat kills badge: you can sit on the back of a Jet Ski and snipe people and they count as boat kills. Just go to a map with a few jet skis and it is pretty easy to get (Isla Innocente being a good one with a plethora of Jet Ski's and easy Sniper kills).

 

wow! That's a good one! I wonder if it works the same if you sit on the back of a hummer for Light Vehicle kills...very interesting! Guess i'm gonna have to try it out now!

i am a level 2 veteren, yet i own no other battlefield games *whistles innocently*

 

I have tried similar tactics but I can't kill anyone with the grenade launcher. I can hit them but they never die. Even with the explosive perk. I'll try to camp out again and bombard an objective to see if I can get it.

 

Just keep trying.

I forgot to mention that i also did this and it worked.
Having B armed GREATLY helps.

 

Cool. I will email them to see if that works. I seem to remember having to contact them every time I bought a new game because they were always changing their login system from game account to master EA account to whatever. I have had so many usernames with them that I have no idea which one they want.

 

Ergh, I'll finish getting all my parts next Thursday...

 

I tried it out last night, and it works quite well. I hopped on on of the seadoos on Isla, parked behind an island, and sniped away. Got sniper kills which I needed + a couple naval warfare pins. Can't go wrong with 2 for 1 points!

I hear ya, that's one of my pet peeves with EA games. It's practically impossibe to transfer over usernames to new games. I think I might have 2-3 different EA logins right now and I can't remember any passwords, LOL! I'm pretty much screwed if I ever reset the login screens...

Well, I got lit up tonight. This game is really starting to me off. Does anyone else get killed consistently after shooting first and hitting multiple times? I open up on people before they return fire at point blank range and get slaughtered. I've registered 6 hits tonight with an AN94 and the dude lived.
Am I alone or does this happen to other people?

 

I've been preaching this since the day the game was released. It affects some people more than others for some reason. I did that last night. Point blank range, unloaded my six shotgun rounds into him, got the white X to indicate a hit (either way how can you miss someone three feet in front of you), and he still walked away with 60% health, and I died with a single pistol shot aimed at my groin.

I noticed you're in Michigan too. Maybe they just hate us Michiganders.

 

I got to lvl 47 playing at U of M so I doubt that's the reason

also, sometimes when I click enter game, sometimes it unchecks itself when the counter reaches 0. I can't seem to spawn automatically. Is this a known bug? I don't run any AV FYI.

yea, that happened to me too before I started running fraps every game... I must be narcissistic cuz I love taking scoreboard pics of good rounds

Yup ever since i found out that you need FRAPS in BC2 i always leave it on.

Now i am addicted in knowing what FPS i get.

 

I like to take snapshots of good rounds too because they don't happen so often for me.

I also would like to know why usapatriot was banned. He seemed like a calm and level headed guy.

How do you know USPatriot was banned? Did I miss something?

To htwingnut....perhaps it is related to the hardware we use to game on. I see you are an Alienware owner. Do you play on a laptop? I use my M17. Single 4850. Game plays smooth unless there are massive explosions going on. I wish it was just against State grads...I am a U of M fan myself. Well, football anyways.

 

I play 80% on my desktop with GTX 260 core 216, Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 15% on my Sager, and maybe 5% on my M11x.

I get the same results regardless of the hardware I use or frame rate. I've even played on my notebook, had horrible hit detection, jumped on my desktop and joined the same server, and it was still just as bad.

It's not 100% of the time for sure, but at least half the time I play. I started recording some FRAPS but it just bogs down my system. There's times when I wish it were recording though so I can show the world what I'm looking at. I'm probably going to try that wegame program though and see if its any less resource intensive.

sometimes i press it over and over and i don't spawn, but the people i am playing with say they can see me next to them but not moving. lots of times it happens.... then finally as i take control of the non moving me i have already been laid into by M60s and 40mm grenades from the opposite team

I've been steadily evening up my K/D ratio. However, the last few days I'm down 50 deaths at least. Did something change? A patch or update? All of the sudden I am getting crushed like a noob again. And it has to do with bad hit registration, lack of power in my weapons, or at least I've noticed it more than ever. I don't know...but it makes me want to stop playing.

 

I just noticed that I somehow have a Bronze Star for the tracer gun.... I didn't think stars were available for that one. Anyone else getting stars for the tracer gun??

I'm not too keen on getting it after how long it's taking to release the patch for BC2.

OMG. This sounds amazing. I was pretty upset what Battlefield Vietnam didn't really kickoff. I've always wanted a good vietnam-era battlefield game!

I definitely agree on that point. This release of the expansion will probably be just as bugged. Probably going to do the same as I did with BC2 and wait until a killer deal ($20 from EA Digital Download) to get it... unless it somehow ends up being amazing right off the bat, which I really doubt.

Its cool that they are going to release BFC2 vietnam, but wouldn't split the market since the new medal of honor would be coming out around the same time... Either way Im probably going to play both.

 

I dunno why PC has so many glitches/bugs.

I play on the 360, and I haven't really seen any bugs besides some of the games being laggy.

 

pc was buggy on my alienware.. untill i did a few config tweaks and now its runs fairly well

 

I suspect because it's a console port. I don't care what DICE says, it plays and feels like a console port, everything from menu, UI, mouse control, the aiming, hit detection, all of it screams console.

 

Anybody here that can get a BETA key for MOH can you give me a spare one Thanks
