Yup, that's right. But, there is no extra charge for that feature.![]()

i reinstalled it back to and SSD so it should be OK now. i think i should buy an SSD just for games and see if there's an improvement as a sort of experiment.
EDIT: I find it strange that a console can do it fine with HDDs and ODDs. -
Well, yes... that's kind of odd based on history. But, consider that it was built primarily for console by short-sighted devs and only rushed into a half-hearted PC port by a third party at the eleventh hour. It's not so hard to believe when you look at it that way. It's similar to how Fire Strike scores are better under Windows 8.1 but almost nothing else is in terms of performance.
-
I always wondered why Arkham Knight had barely any stuttering or slow down, even when driving the Batmobile, but for so many others it was unplayable. Strange though. -
even on an HDD the batmobile segments didn't get slowdowns for me.

Two sources, requesting anonymity to avoid jeopardizing their careers, spoke with Kotaku over the past week in hopes of explaining how the broken PC version of Arkham Knight made it out the door. They both said that Warner Bros. was aware of the many issues facing Arkham Knight on PC and that the publisher chose to ship the game regardless, not to maniacally screw over customers—but because they believed it was good enough.
Warner Bros. did not return my multiple requests for comment.

According to anonymous sources speaking with Kotaku, Warner Bros. Interactive, the publisher of Batman: Arkham Knight, was well aware of the many problems facing the game’s PC version months ahead of release.
“I will say that it’s pretty rich for WB to act like they had no idea the game was in such a horrible state,” one quality assurance tester told Kotaku. “It’s been like this for months and all the problems we see now were the exact same, unchanged, almost a year ago.” -
I must say even though I like the game, I'm gonna put it aside. I'm just not used to this type of fighting game, my hands actually get sore after a while and I just stop. For the time being I'll go back and play GTA V. Maybe when I come back the game will be completely fixed.
-
-
That's my overall problem with fighting games-Sleeping Dogs, Mortal Combat etc. I do Hulk smash on the buttons and hope, while fingers go numb. Probably why I never really play those games
-
The only time you button mash is when you do a beat down after a cape stun. If you continually button mash you will mis-time hits, miss counters and Batman will jump around like a fish out of water. If you time your counters and be patient, you will end up with something similar to this, more fun and no sore fingers.
-
I'm a button masher too. I just don't have the patience for complicated stuff. Maybe that's why I enjoyed Destiny... It got old eventually but at least it was simple to play. Witcher 3 I always get confused about what buttons to push in a fight, constantly forget to dodge, etc. I haven't gotten into this game yet but it doesn't look too bad...

I came to the end of this game and TBH it was long in the tooth ....
On my 8GB ram notebook it stuttered..
On my 16GB ram system it never stuttered and ran smoothly.
Probably some memory leak bordering on well close to 8GB system ram and beyond...
Do recall on my 8GB system the windows message stating that system is low on memory after exiting batman arkham knight.
Not sure if I will re-play when the patch comes out...
Peace.. -
These tools improved performance but increased crashing too. I find the game performs better overall on Windows 10 but crashes more than it did o Windows 8.1. -
Windows 10 fixed the fullscreen mode bug for me. Also, W10 fixed Dirt Rally fullscreen bug too...

So the "fix" is to "upgrade" to a spyware laden communist OS. Wonderful.
-
You can disable all of the spyware though. I tried Arkham Knight in Windows 10 and performance was improved a lot but it crashes more frequently. -

Not having much luck finding a place that sells a full version of Windows 7 X64 that doesn't turn out to be some knockoff or illegal nonsense (according to other buyer reviews).D2 Ultima likes this. -

W10 is cool tho. Great performance.

Wow, fullscreen does work now with Windows 10! I wonder if this means that Dragon Age Inquisition will finally work. I'll try it out as soon as it's finished updating (grrr slow internet!).
Edit: confined! Windows 10 fixes fullscreen bug in Dragon Age Inquisition tooLast edited: Aug 17, 2015 -
So, the Fullscreen issue is an Windows bug after all? I heard that The Witcher 3 has similar issue, can anyone confirm if W10 also fixed it?
-
Judging by Amazon.com reviews, most OEM versions are dodgy with some saying their key stopped working after a few months with warnings of it being pirated. Others say they received Dell disks and all sorts of junk. There are good reviews in the mix too though so I don't know. -
SIGH, so this thread has nothing to do with its title anymore?
-
I have a strange feeling the embarrassing state of their PC release of this game means its ship has sailed from the PC gamers' psyche, but we shall see:

LMAO, If we didn't already know it this team of slackers has just shown the best way to kill a AAA title. Step 1 release crap, step 2 pull crap out of stores, step 3 take months to"test fix for" crap, step 5 possibly release fix for crap when other AAA titles will probably release. -
Better than not being fixed.

I'd rather be supportive of WB on this. They are doing the right thing IMHO. Well the right thing would have been to never let it see light of day in the first place until it was done. But this is the next best thing. If they are criticized heavily for taking too long or for doing this at all, other companies will just give us the middle finger and tell us take it as it is as they have been doing for years.

I hope this utter failure of a game is a lesson to other studios not to release broken crap on PC. We're not your garbage disposal.

They had a product, they said it will be like this and that, people bought it, and what did they get? I'm pretty sure it was not what was advertised.
I know that other companies would have just moved on, whereas WB tries to resolve issues, though it's not like they have a choice.
I'm sorry, but when someone shells out €60 on a game, it better work. I have nothing against bugs/glitches being patched after release. As I write this I still am waiting CDPR to patch a certain quest fail at a certain game point TW3. Despite that I was already able to clock over 200h in it. But in case of AK I heard some really bad stuff...
Personally I don't care if they stop releasing their games on PC. What is this, a kindergarten - take it of leave it. I'm sick and tired of that some ol' crap from publishers. They make crappy ports and then wonder why their games sell bad on PC. If hands don't grow from one's ass and and they actually put some effort into development, PC can be a profitable platform.
To be honest I don't even think I will buy AK. I loved both AA and AC, AO felt a bit lacking too me, and this one just looks like a World Of Tanks set in Gotham. I just better put that money towards TW3 expansion. -
-
I can imagine the programmers that felt the game was still early beta and then see it released for sale. They were probably confused and ashamed.
