This kind of does not belong here but I will ask anyways has anyone with a dell E1705 been able to use 1400x900 as there in game resolution in BF2 for some reason i can only do 800x600, 1024x768, and 1152x864.

im going to get xfire now and add all these names on there so i can see what and when people are playing - does xfire take up many resources on the computer? i dont want it to slow down my gaming at all

 

looking at the xfire site i noticed that bf2142 isn't even one of the top played games? why is this? i see cod2 like #2 in most played (which makes me want to buy it)

Nope, the game will run as if nothing happened.

 

Xfire is a useful gaming tool that allows users to keep in touch without having to use the in game texting. Which might cause disruption of your game play and it is updated almost daily to accommodate the new games coming in.

 

Definately will join both, just need to wait on my laptop. Which will be a little while lol.

okay i just got back from walmart - i bought 2142 - i stood there staring at all 3 games for like 30 minutes lol... now the hard part is opening it :x once i open it i can't return and get something else.

did i make the right choice? my reasoning is that MOH:A is new and i heard there isn't really a good fanbase right now.. now COD2 i was right about to get but i changed my mind because i remember someone telling me that it is pretty difficult on multiplayer because there are way too many experienced players and you'll basically just got annihalated ... sooooooo, do i keep 2142 and open it?!? lol.. or do i get moh:a and wait for multiplayer to get bigger or do i get cod2...

NOTE: YES I AM AN UNDECISIVE PERSON!!!

Ok, first of all, COD 2 multiplayer is DIFFERENT than team based work. Even though there are teams, not many people mass into squads and attack. You're on your own, and it gives you headaches and frustration due to lack of team work.

Keep 2142, I'd totally recommend it. Gamespot said that the only interesting part was the last 2 levels of the game. where they claimed was "INTENSE". They also said that their multiplayer is an awesome experience.

So, if you were to get 2 games, get MOH:AA and Battlefield 2142.

Sorry bwhxeon, I do not know how to boot from the hard drive to automatically play BF 2142 when you double click on the shortcut for it. I just put in my disc and play.

 

Well I'm Scavar....should be Scavar in both games, but BF2142 always confuses me with the solider names and stuff so I'll get back to you on that, or you can check online.

I haven't played either in a bit, but I'd like to. Either game game would be fine. And I'm al ittle backwards then most people, time of day doesn't matter but I can't usually play on Fri/Sat. My XFire is uhh...Scavar but I'm never on it....So there you have it.....

I have the 1.4 patch, and everting works for me. the prblem is noone else has it.

the 1.4 patch for bf2142 is a beta patch. bf is up to 1.41 in stable patches

 

I don't use the beta patch, it didn't work out for me.
