    oh boy, this does not work. After i click join a match i get a black screen(battlefield exe) but it does not start or anything.

    Yes, do not do matchmaking. Just go to server list and pick a server.

    I actually managed to join a server, bomb the objective and cap a few n00bs.
    (No thanks to zero teamplay)
    But then woopdederp, Server lost connection error message.

    Il try again in 2 days when open beta is on, and hopefully its sorted out, but if its like this close to retail i dont see BF3 winning over MW3 at all.

    You can pretty much be guaranteed that it won't be like that at retail. Can't compare the server presence of a closed beta to that at launch.

    Lots of games have shaky server stability early on.

    BF2 was like that as well. the server support was crap and shakey, but after 2 days of it being out a patch came out, and after the patch, i dont ever remember having a problem. expect the same here.

    wooo im hoping my 6630m with 2410m and 8gb ram and SSD will run it like yours @ 900p. ill see before i OC it to a 6730m. aslong as i put high settings low shadows and no aa etc it will look nice still at 900p and get at least 30fps before overclock ill be happy.

    I give up. Gotta get some work done. Decided to sit in a queue starting at number 80 and then made it to 15 then it just stopped. After 20 minutes I couldn't join anything. LOL Early beta = early losers.

    LoL i don't think the next 2 days will be better.. BTW they had 1.5mil of preorders (so at least 1.5 mil of potentials early users) so i can't even imagine how many people will try the beta on the 29th.

    playing beta at 1080p getting ~25fps outside ~30 inside. Full server never dropped below 20fps.
    On this:
    P150hm
    GTX 580m (700/1400/1600)
    i7 2820qm
    16gb ram

    *edit* All settings ultra with full AA and such. I didn't bother messing with the motion blur setting.

    Well, I've just had a couple of rounds in the open beta, and am very pleased as my old 8800M GTX card seems to handle it fine. There was a a bit of lag here and there but I would assume that had more to do with the servers being at max capacity than my set up. I wasn't able to change the graphical settings but I couldn't tell what it was set at but it seemed qood for dx10.

    Anyone with a 555M or equivalent should have no problems.

    Edit: Next time I get a match I'll test the the fps.

    yep my dream laptop. but ideally with the 6990m cos its better value for money and its cheaper than the 485m. by the time i get that rig it probably have the 7 series in it. cos i got an x120e, g53jw and sony sa so unless i sell them anytime soon. i gotta wait. :(

    WHo is ready for some screen shots?

    Booo for some reason FRAPS screenshots didnt include the FPS.

    Anywho I was ranging from a minimum of 30 for outside and I avg 60 All settings maxed at 1920 x1200. The park level was really buggy for me though I couldn't get higher than 40 FPS on any setting low, med, high, or ultra always went from 20-40.

    You need to check the box in FRAPS settings to includes FPS when taking screenshots.

    Getting like 35-40 FPS @ 1600x900 with everything on Low, Textures on High, AF 8x, etc... kinda weird, even in Crossfire. The game still looks great though.

    This is very inconvenient when it takes so long to get back into a server. I'm sure when the final game drops we'll be able to test settings in single player, but for now: giant pain in the .

    Anyone know how to force DX10?

    Also I seem to get about 35-45 fps on all medium settings at 1080P with my eGPU setup, which is better than I had hoped for.
