Pretty well. Playing one resolution less than 1920 x 1080 and with textures on ultra, and mostly everything else on high other than shadows and AA, I'm getting 40+ FPS outside and 60 or so inside. I need to keep testing to really see what the limits are on this card though.

My specs are 6990m with recent update of driver, 8gigs ram, i7 2720 2.2GHZ.

I can run every thing on high with no problems.

And if I tweak a few things, like shadows and AA, I can put most things on ultra.

with the fps never falling below 40.

Well the update is running at 283kb/s so I am estimated to take about 4hrs to download... :( It better be worth it.

This should help keep the jets up in the sky instead of strafing the ground, very nice.

Are there any Beta drivers out for notebooks or is it only the desktop ones out there right now? Wanting to hop in once the Beta goes public tomorrow but, with my 285m and 1.6GHZ i7, I'll need all the perfomance boost I can get to help make it playable at decent settings.

Got the Witcher on High-ish at 1600x900 to run fine, but was hoping for a little more here.

I run it smoothly at ultra with one 5870 avg 35-40 FPS. @ 1920 x1200 and with crossfire it is up to 50-80, avg around 55-60. The 720QM is a bottleneck for sure though as with an Oc to 1.8ghz everything runs better.

Hey Ht, Im thinking high is the max setting, tessellation wasn't included(pretty sure, read on the bf3 forums), you cannot control FOV through the menu, and IMO the AA is kind of crap. Im thinking retail will look even better, looks damn amazing maxed as is.

    Notice two things:

    - he's playing in the metro where the framerate is much higher. I bet that outside he will go down as 26fps.

    - he's not using Ambient Occlusion. I can have the same fps reading than him in this way in the metro. Judging by the video he's around 40-42 fps.

EVGA Precision is saying "D3D11" as well. From my past experience with EVGA Precision this means that it is running in DX11 mode; I have played other games and forced them to go run with DX9, 10, and 11 and Precision always reflects that. Performance with DX10 should be better if BFBC2 is any indication.

Thanks! Only found the Desktop variant when I searched earlier. Will have another look.

Anyone running this with a GPU equivalent to a 280m/285m so I can get an idea of what sort of settings I might be able to handle?

I got play Witcher 2 on High/Med at 1600x900 and Crysis on 'Very High' (their version of Medium) at the same res with a near constant 30FPS with my laptop. Hoping for similar performance here.

I just OC'd my GPU from 650/800 to 750/900, and the gain was very noticeable! From 17-18 FPS, to 21 FPS average, never going below 20!
