What do you mean by "had" ?
Did you fix it somewhow ?

 

Does it support the XBOX 360 gamepad?
I know blah,blah,blah I will get crushed by others using a mouse pad but I like to just sit back and relax sometimes instead of being hunched over a keyboard/mouse.

 

I know there's an in-game console, but you can't set it to less than pre-set low settings, and there's no way to force DirectX 10. Plus there's no way to save it so you don't have to set a half dozen settings every time you start the game.

I just realized, us AMD users can override tesselation in CCC, by turning it down. HTWingNut, This may be of interest to you if you have AMD cards. Should help boost FPS a bit. Has anyone tried that? If so how did it look, and what kind of increase was noticed?

 

It works the sensitivity is kinda high though I tried everything to adjust it but no DICE

 

game does not have tesselation.

Good idea though. Although I did try that as well as:
postprocess.dynamicAOenable false
worldrender.spotlightshadowmapenable false

And had no impact on performance. I will see if enabling triple buffering helps with crossfire issues.

 

Performance was smooth at 1920x1200 with all High settings and 2xAA. No AA post-processing, motion blur or SSAO/HBAO. I am satisfied, at least until ATI 7xxx series...

 

What PC/laptop?

 

Try forcing a repair, right click the game in origin and select repair install.

I smell a BC2 style patch in a month, there are so many people having very strange issues that seem to be difficult to pin on the user/config, it has to be the game itself.

You should put your laptop and desktop specs into your signature. Without knowing your system specs, the game settings are useless.

Ok, I've tried for the past 2 hours to get into a multiplayer game.... and keep getting kicked almost instantly... what in the world is going on?? Anyone else having issues? This is from 4-6:30 pm EST... more than a little annoyed

 

I dunno, they're about to take the servers down for maybe 90 minutes.

edit: false. tomorrow morning. I've been having that issue intermittently. Seems to be worse if using matchmaking. Also seems to be worse if with a party.

It could be this. Basically if you had punkbuster installed with bad company 2 it may be detecting the wrong punkbuster and..well, yeah you get kicked.

 

It seems BF3 is pretty hard on my CPU which may be the cause of my abysmal performance especially on small maps. Anyone have any idea of what I could do to lessen the CPU load?

Yeah my clan was having that issue with our server and we had to reinstall PB or something like that. I'm not even sure why DICE is still using PB, since there are already hackers and all it does is cause issues.

 

Origin is a POS. I've got two copies of BF3 on my account, one regular edition and one limited edition and the es at Origin Support can't remove the regular edition from my account so I can't install the Limited Edition from my DVD.

Thanks to Best Buy botching my preorder and not giving me a Limited Edition and me having to go back and exchange it and activate a second copy of BF3 on my Origin account.

I am raging so hard right now you have no idea.

 

What? That's not right. You have regular and Limited, but they won't let you activate the Limited? If they're both activated they have to give one back to you if they don't let you use them on the account. Can you activate the limited on another account? I would see about getting on the phone with them if you can and explain the situation. I'd even go so far as to send a letter to EA telling them how unhappy you are. They're sure to fix it.

 

Well, as a word of advice, NEVER try to let Origin REPAIR your game... it's an endless cycle of "ready to install" after that.... Have literally been trying to play for the last 4 hours and thought that the punkbuster fix was my ticket, but alas, when that didn't work I tried Origin repair... epic failure

Finally got a competent Origin Support Agent to help me (after 3 prior attempts), much thanks.

 

Origin issues aside I'm noticing more and more that the maps are pretty imbalanced... basically 75% of the time whoever is playing as the US forces wins, and it has nothing to do with the vehicles or weapons, the maps and placements just heavily favor the US side. It's hard to decide what map I like playing on because of it

 

Did you call them? Usually calling is the only way to get help with EA. (At least to my experience)

 

Does this game even work? Multiplayer and co-ops does not work, and campaign is stupidly boring and dumb.

 

I didn't play it yet because of school work but considering there isn't a huge riot, it works.

 

Some comparison screens in 900p, 5870m (using 11.8) overclocked at 830 /1250 and i7 920xm at 3.5Ghz.

I actually don't like playing fps bellow 60, but thanks to motion blur, this game feels good at 30fps+

Also, some effect in ultra are activated restarting the level and I didn't do this...

And I don't know how to make a proper comparison shots, sorry

Nope, just chat support. Although he did tell me it was fixed when it really wasn't, after I pressed him it seems he really did try and was successful at fixing it, so-so.

 

Lol BF3 looks better than most games even on Low settings.

Yea lol their live chat support agents sometimes just want to get the conversation over with to get to the next person if you're holding them up for too long. :/ But there are still decent chat agents and you can also request to be connected to the manager if you have a problem that's not being resolved.

 

This is what I'm talking about inconsistent with the game. Here's two games one after the other, same map, same teams, but completely different results. This happens all the time. And I need to start recording my games. Already have several times I unload into someone they're right in front of me, end up with them having 100% health, me nothing... so reminiscent of BFBC2.

guys, i cannot figure out my problem. i just got my new computer today, and i just installed origin, but i cannot get on origin. each time i try to log in, it says: "The Origin Network could not be reached. Please check your network connection and try again."


...my connection is FINE. i have no idea whats wrong. ...anyone got any ideas?

 

Oh Great Now My Ing Game Wont Activate.

What The Did That Ea Support Agent Do To My Ing Account And Product Key. Holy My Life.

 

You just have to get a new product key he should have given you one honestly. I would complain a lot and maybe try to get a discount on a future game, free game, or something for the frustration.

 

When I exchanged my game at Best Buy I got a brand new sealed copy with a new key. I activated the game before I had the other key removed from my account. I don't see why it's not activating. It's legit, it should work.

Now I have to wait for some other dumbwit to help me.

 

IDK man gotta contact Origin support again and get a new key, but definitely try to get something for your troubles they are pretty generous right now honestly. Just show your frustration and you know tell them your thinking this may be your last game on Origins because of all the issues.

 

So I'm reinstalling, again, again. According to Origin Support this should fix it but I don't have my hopes up. So much wasted time.

-_- I doubt that reinstalling would fix an invalid key issue. Just request for a new key and be mad when ur doing so.

 

The Origin Support guy told me to reinstall Origin. I did. Now I'm just waiting for it to finish even though I know it probably won't work. I've been at this since yesterday.

I don't get why Origin has such trouble handling two different keys for the same game and why Origin Support can't just fix the issue for me.

STEAM > Origin.

 

I'm having serious texture flickering issues, and then my game just locks up after a while.

Okay, anyone getting the "kicked by admin" message?

 

My game kept minimizing and crashing every time map loaded.
Update to newest ATI driver fixed the issue for me.
Thought I'd post if someone is having similar issue.
