Gah. Getting frustrating again. R11 patch, hit detection was much better. Now it's like it was before. Get the jump on someone. empty half a magazine into someone, all X's, they start to shoot and you die after one or two bullets... sigh.

Plus the last few Karkand maps I played just quit and got dumped to desktop.

 

Apparently you can get points with only one person again.

Hey, does anyone how to fix the PB kick issue? I can only be in game for about 2 minutes before I get autokicked.

 

Probably have to manually update pb again

 

I swear, I'm going to put my fist through my screen. I can't kill ANYTHING, period! Bullets, grenades, RPG, handgun... nothing. When I shoot, I see my bullets go everywhere but straight. Even when I go prone, line up shot, hold my breath, and pull the trigger. And when I do hit, it's like it doesn't register. They run at me with 90-100% and down me with a nerf gun, I swear.

 

Weird. And this is on many servers ouch.

For me is the b2k maps don't have the same patch settings as the original bf3 settings so they goof my aim a bit. The b2k seem to be running on Nov patch instead of the recent patch.

 

Man this Back to Karkand DLC is what BF3 should have been from the start. I know they are remakes and all, but I don't get the same feeling in the original bf3 maps like I do with the new ones. The maps are huge and plenty of close combat fighting too and the destruction makes everything awesome.

What does this have to do with anything? I've played more hours than I should have, almost 100 hours so far, and know what has worked and what hasn't. It isn't like I just started playing the game. It's a before/after comparison. Bullets go helter skelter. I can have someone in my sights from their side, unknown to them, perfect shot 10 yards away, two, three bursts, and they turn and shoot me dead in a couple shots and they have 80-100% health.

I'm fine if I've been flanked or outplayed. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when you have the jump on someone, fire half your magazine, and get X's as hits even, and they end up with > 80% health, yet I end up dead. Or worse yet, shoot them from less then 10 yards away with sights directly on them, and not a single bullet hits them. How is that even possible.

I'm getting like 2 kills to 20 deaths now when before I would average 1:1 k/d. There's something definitely off there.

 

Idk if this sounds dumb or anything but have you tried to turn off the latency smoothening in options?
Made it allot easier to get kills on low ping servers for me.

 

My whole problem is this is like a switch. Everything has been moving along fine, have a good feel for the game, getting believable k/d's (I personally don't care what it is as long as it's honest), now it's like everything is changed. Still playing on same ping servers, similar play style, with horrifically negative results.

I actually did this when me and Sh0bster where playing on Gulf of Oman.
We where flying a transport chopper when a AA missile flew up.
The chopper survived with no damage at all while i took the full force of the IGLA. xD

I had my three most happy recon moments last night. The first was when I hid right next to a cap point until the enemy tank left, then killed the lone defender with my Glock and capped the point myself. Second was killing a dude in the office building from the construction site on...Sharqi I think? Has to be like a quarter mile, sadly it wasn't a headshot so the distance wasn't tracked. The third was a headshot on a dude who jumped out of his F35 to come in my building and kill me.

 

I was playing with this hacker last night that kept knifing me halfway across the map. I'm not very well versed in FPS hacks but I didn't know that was even possible. The first time I thought the game glitched or something but after the 4th knifing from a mile away I just quit.

 

Oh and I thought I'd mention a really weird glitch that happened to me last night. I was playing support, died, and was brought back to life but when I came back to life I was suddenly the recon class. I came back with a shotgun (no ammo) that I don't even have unlocked and a MAV (which wouldn't deploy). I don't even have the MAV unlocked since I never play recon...

 

Someone else most likely picked up your kit and this was theirs.

 

I was frustrated last night, and just for kicks I set my resolution to some stupid low res like 1024x576 or something silly, FOV to 60, and played without sound and I owned the map! lol. So much for situational awareness.

 

Ok ... I'm getting somewhat ticked.

The server crashes are way too frequent and too coincidence that it crashes at a point that a team have no chance of turning around.

Either by admin abuse which purposely restarting the server or someone figured out how to crash the server (most of which are servers that run plugins, which I believe are most likely being tripped.)

I somewhat understand the crashes beyond 32 but 16 ... come on really

 

I'm having the same problem, it's getting frustrating. Spend 20 minutes or more in a match only to have it CTD. Not to mention that there's only a few populated servers with reasonable pings < 60.

 

I been trying to look for that don't run plugins but they are so rare. Yet they gave me the least amount of trouble so far.

 

IDK if it's coincidence or not but my k/d is back on par and "feels" more normal after adjusting that slider to about 2/3. Thanks +1

edit edit: there are so many hax still out there. Last game there were no fewer than five people pb banned.

Say what... I do that for free. It's unsolicited and I'm condescending, but still...

 

Hopefully that fixes some of the instability, I can't seem to stay connected for more than 10 mins and when I do, the server itself goes down.

 

If someone wants to pay me $7 for 30 minutes to take bullets for them, I'm game.

 

I dont get what setting I should use regarding the latency smoothening thingy.

I'm on a 100/10 line, should I have it all the way to the left or right?

Hmm ... I'm starting to figure out how to get the additional point bonus at the end map.

From the looks of it, it a 200 x some time your team is stacked against. min 2 mins in both player number wise and rank wise.
I got like 2500k additional each for 3 matches in a row.

 

I'm not sure I am following you exactly. What do you mean?

 

You know at the end of the round, it starts tally up the ribbons and service stars points.

At the very end of tally those up, sometimes randomly see bonus additional points usually 200 points or more.

Also, when you fly ... does your guided/missles seem to auto fire after locking.
Some reason, mine is stuck doing that. Heck I can't even see my count anymore, it stuck on reload prompt.

Plus do all the b2k unlock start off with 12x scopes? ... I got 3 of them all have 12x scopes
12x scope on an lmg.... which is a surprisingly decent sniper gun.

 

Just came back to BF3 after a month or so -- been BETA testing CS:GO for a month or so -- Did DICE create an easy mode? I just played on a Vanilla Normal>Conquest>, using the m16 (default AR class) I went 70-4. I am a CSS player at heart and battlefield games/COD are a piece of cake in MP, but this seems a bit drastic.

Did DICE change the hitboxes/reg/lag comp? It seems much different, and honestly it seems far too easy now.

I have about 15 hours in BF3 so I am not sure how to do these things. In cs1.6 and css Source TV would be very easy to share.

While possible, it's unlikely to happen very often, unless you have a high ping and camp, lucky (i.e. on a server with total newbs), or hack. Even seasoned players don't win with those kinds of stats. And yes, just share your BF3 name and we can find it.

Deleting my bf3 profile works for couple of rounds but it just glitch again.

I'm so lovin' this game @_@.

 

Anyone have a problem with get spun around when shot? It's really irritating. I know there's a slight effect from getting shot but this is really annoying as my guy totally jerks the other way.

 

I tend to get frozen and jerk around a bit. But it seems others don't have that issue because they can shoot back somehow.
