game runs smooth for me but ive only played like 10 minutes at a time.
its a case of de ja vu as it almost looks and feels like a dlc add on to B3 and B4
i like the idea of the cops and robbers theme though as im mainly buy games for the campaign so it should be a nice change but the question will be will it be worth £50 or £60 just for the campaign. if B4 is anything to go by then no would be the answer. -

Hardline is definitely a different approach to the Battlefield franchise! Not quite sure how I feel about it

A Gaming Evolved title that recommends a much stronger AMD card? That's a first.

If wanna get anal about it, DICE did the same thing for BF4, where they recommended a 3GB 7870 that doesn't exist. -
still DL'ing the beta ... 220kb/s inside !
-
Is it open beta or do you have to pre-order?
-
I believe it's open beta.. Looks like they're desperately trying to get people to order it but you know, BF4 players like me are hardly impressed by it and will probably wait for BF5..
-
interesting.
minimum 260gtx is a dx10 card but you need dx11 -
Does not mean it will work "well" however. -
I just played 1080p Ultra settings and used 1600MB vRAM. So not sure where they get 3GB.
-
Got it downloaded, now just need to wrap up work so I can try it out....

Haven't had a chance to try BF3 or BF4, but this one looks like fun, judging by the videos. Sort of reminds me of the crazy car crashes in Tactical Intervention. -
Just go to Origin and at the main store page you can click the link.
Weird, same settings with 970m and 980m, BF Hardline uses 1.6GB with 970m and 2.5GB with 980m. Doesn't make sense whatsoever. -
Want to play some more, but runs same as BF4 best I can tell.... running all Ultra, no AA and get 80+fps, so limit it to 60 via gametime.maxvariable command.
Had time to play a couple conquest rounds, feels like BF3/4 with different vehicles ha. I really wish it was cheaper and I'd definitely pick it up, at $60 not likely.
Will be curious how the other game modes play out! -

It's fun, but nowhere near worth the $60 they're asking. It should have been a standalone expansion for BF4 for $20.

Maybe I'm too much of a noob, but I had a hard time killing anybody when playing as enforcer with a shotgun or professional with a sniper rifle. Not really a fan of assault rifles as it's kinda boring to hold down fire and spray bullets.
I tried another new multiplayer shooter yesterday called Double Action: Boogaloo - this was hilariously broken but I had more fun than Battlefield Hardline. You sort of just flop around like flappy bird dodging bullets and activating slow motion while you are trying to kill other players. -
Even at stock clocks the game makes Nvidia driver crashes ! Anyone else getting these crashes ?

AMD cards does not seem to be affected, but it's driving me crasy, I have to reinstall Nvidia driver in order to make 3D work again !

This battlefield is gonna be the best of them all. I watched several gameplay videos and it looks dope.

In general running very smooth. But it still has all the lag issues that BF4 does. Even server rubber banding is prevalent in games.
Not to mention some very odd balancing issues of the weapons. The shotgun is actually a decent weapon and unlike BF4 it takes only one or two shots to kill. However, due to lag or what, I don't know, but I have shot people point blank and it did no damage at all. On the other hand I have been shot dead from 100m or more by one, so...
The recoil of the automatic weapons is ridiculous. Granted I haven't been able to update my grip or nozzle yet, but a few shots has me shooting the 20 deg higher.
The choppers are also a bit frustrating. I counted 8 hits on an infantry with the chopper gun and the dude still kept running.
Other things like the shield are marginally useful, I've been shot dead from head on showing a blow to my torso when the shield is up. I thought they were supposed to allow shooting with a pistol with the shield up, but I guess that never made it into the game.
I like the overall feel of the game, actually, and feels more refined than past Battlefield beta's. But it still just feels like BF4 skinned over and not a whole new game, which is what they are selling it as.Last edited: Feb 6, 2015
