man they just keep updating this game bump because it looks alot better.....new to crysis check it out
-
now theres a experimental raytracing boost mode....man are these guys working hard at this
-
Cool. I will check it out. Thanks, bro.
-
does anyone else notice the input lag? reminds me of crysis 3.....crysis 1 wh were funner because of the ability to instantly aim and or smoothness
-
i'm starting to think they released it unfinished for a reason, it has gotten so good graphically im thinking its nearing rdr2 level...everytime I play it it gets better..but like I already posted I hope they start making crysis 4 and work on making it more photo realistic vs cartoony colors..And when they do crysis 4 I hope the input lag is gone as its a kill joy and the game isnt fun struggling to aim...crysis 1=fun crysis wh =fun crysis 2=less fun crysis three=work and hardly what I call fun..the reason is mainly input lag they are all great games and its the only series I have beaten more than once...infact the only other series I was interested in playing and actually completing was mass effect series and GTA although technically I just played alot of GTA I guess I never really beat them except for IV

I have not noticed any input lag with any Crysis title so far. I wonder if that is due to differences in specs or something else. I'd love to see a Crysis 4.
-
I call it input lag but it's just mouse smoothing found in other games like far cry 4...I find it highly annoying and it makes aiming difficult...Crysis warhead was the most responsive and ironically the funnest at least for me

I always hated when the game segued into the alien section, didn't like the same in 2 either. I do see it's on sale for 15 smackers over on Epic and I really did enjoy it until the aliens showed up...
-
hates such i strong word but i agree i prefer killing peoples in the game...but the aliens are meh...also so i dont offend anyone the koreans could be any race
Last edited: Jun 3, 2021 -
Hopefully not killing anyone you love, LOL.
Unacceptable behavior and evil deeds, not nation of origin, is how we identify our enemies. South Korea is an ally. North Korea is an enemy, even to South Korea. Evil deserves no refuge or mercy.Clamibot likes this. -
I played it a few times subsequently and simply quit when I got to that part, with the quitting being part of the plan. I never finished the game and to this day don't know how it ends, or in truth, don't know much about what happens after the aliens pop in. If you prefer, I greatly disliked the alien part.
-
lol its all good...
killing is fun..
joking....but honestly yes im not a fan of the aliensMr. Fox likes this. -
Be careful or the woke clown posse will have you canceled for being a racist, LOL. It won't even matter that the Seph are fictional characters.Papusan likes this.

but honestly i love aliens...they are great....

When will you buy one?
The

not sure.....when the mothership lands ill decide..
I almost bought a refurbished m15 with 2070...lolz ended up with two crappy craptops insteadPapusan likes this. -

ok enough.....
crysis water now looks silver vs blue and new sprites were added as well as improved textures....i check every 2 months and man is this game smokin my hardware right about now....thoughts?Mr. Fox likes this. -
So about that new hardware you we're buying...
-
end of month might pick up a 3060 laptop
-
ultra settings
high shadows
high objects
no raytracing
average 30 fps
1percent low of 24
on a dang 1650.....you really dont need much if your a 30-60fps gamer but i suppose 144hz would be a pretty sweet experience
does someone with a 144hz display and rtx laptop wanna check the game out and see if they can cap it at 144hz...im thinking of buying a 3060...just need to know if thats enough
i found this
it looks like ill need a 3070 for 144hz gamingClamibot likes this. -
That's pretty cool! But realistically for the M1 to get as close as it does with FAR LESS power usage is pretty amazing. It's going to be a while till we're gaming on ARM, but the first salvo looks extremely promising vs what's out there in x86 land.JRE84 likes this.

yeah I might pick up a M1 tablet over a gaming laptop as app games tend to be easier to get into and alot of fun...and usually free
-
Ouch.. AMD, nVidia and Intel should definitely pick up the pace.. there's a newcomer breathing down their necks. This is some insane efficiency.*
Apple M1X with 32-core GPU could match GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop graphics performance at 43% of the power cost according to astonishing estimates
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Apple...ording-to-astonishing-estimates.543612.0.html
* IF TRUE -
You belive in Santa?
GFXBench is more like Passmark/userbenchmark.
-
Now if something like this came to a non-Apple laptop, that would be amazing!

I had no idea how powerful cell phone and tablet gpus were until i did some research...
my sd 888 gpu adreno 660 is just as powerful as a mx150...lolz now that is coco en el locoClamibot likes this. -
Haha so Apple would have exceeded physics itself, very impressive.

It's definitely true this architecture is far exceeding perf pet watt of any of the x86 solutions right now, I'm skeptical on the GPU side. I'd love to be surprised though, would be good for everyone.
-
Another component to reducing power draw is making software more efficient. There is a lot that can be done to improve power efficiency on the software side (that is, optimizations). If Apple is improving their entire software stack while also developing more power efficient hardware, then these claims start seeming plausible.
-
dang will they ever stop updating this game and make crysis 4? new textures added
welp it looks like we are in for a treat crysis 4 is coming in 2h 2022Clamibot likes this. -

and hopefully we get a remastered warheadLast edited: Jun 17, 2021 -
I would think they would definitely be working on Crysis 4. I bet Crysis remaster was a way to get some RT knowledge under their belt in a production product and get feedback from users under different configurations so they could take that and apply it in Crysis 4.
With the popularity of single player FPS games right now the iron is hot, strike it. -
I'm just trying to keep the hope alive....honestly imagine crysis 4 the same way crysis 1 was at the time..it would look 100 percent real life..I know they can do it....they need to step away from the normal once again and I have faith they will I don't care and neither do 11 million other gamers if it will only run maxed in 10 years so long as it looks cutting edge...
lol my run on sentences
Run-on sentences, also known as fused sentences, occur when two complete sentences are squashed together without using a coordinating conjunction or proper punctuation, such as a period or a semicolon.

this game is ALIVE I tell you ALIVE....this is on my junky 1650 I averaged 24fps but was fun..it looks sooo good now...like the textures are so detailed it looks like their just using pictures 8k onesTR2N likes this. -
the water used to look brilliant blue now its a cool silver...looks nice but i noticed the reflections under the water are super low resolution? what the heck is crytek thinking..just make it look really good as close to photorealism as possible and call it a day and skip crysis 2 and give us a crysis 3 remaster....count your losses crytek.
-
without raytracing
with raytracing....pretty big difference in the look
setting used and settings everyone should be using but then again if you have the power whynot enable raytracing
no reason to run shadows higher than low
I have more pictures but for some reason crytek is using ultra high resolution pictures for some of the textures and vegetation and low resolution ones also mixing it up to make it look average...@hfm how hard is it to take a picture and map it as a texture, is crytek lazy or is it a big process -
If it wasn't difficult everyone would be doing it.
I'm not sure, I see perhaps the reflection is darker, I'd probably have to see it in action to try to understand what's going on there and I don't own the remaster. I don't work on game engines, probably would need someone from Crytek to weigh in.Mr. Fox likes this. -
@hfm I know right!!
But don't modders make 8k texture packs for like every game, you would think if some moron in his moms basement can do it a multi billion dollar empire could do it better, that doesn't seem to be the case..
Crytek chime in create an account and add too this discussion as I think together we can make the best crysis possible -
If you're referencing what the reflection of the mountain range onto the water looks like, if it's RT reflections it's happening real-time using rays it's not just a texture slapped onto the water. The fact that it's intense computationally means the ray count is most likely not every single possible path, so it's denoised which will give it some "blur" for lack of a better word I suppose. I have no clue how it's implemented here, but one thing that's a benefit is if it's true RT not screen space reflections, if you pull your camera down so you can no longer see the mountains themselves you should still see the reflections for them. Obviously they might be able to hack it in this scene so that something that large and jarring doesn't disappear from the water reflection without RT, usually those things do happen with other elements though without RT, since screen space reflections only deal with what's in the current scene, usually why you see things missing from reflections that you know are there but are not in the scene, then they pop back into the reflection when they do appear. Again I have zero clue how Crytek is doing any of it, that's typically how it works though.JRE84 likes this.
