Thanks, how would Crysis run of the ATI Mobility RADEON 4670?
-
-
Depending on res either all medium or if its a low res medium/high
-
how about crysis & crysis warhead, at what settings would it work easily or will be comfortably playable
-
On your notebook? Just a bit below ultra.

CoD Modern Warfare 2?

med-high native res.

interested in dirt 2
-
Hi! I was wondering if my computer could handle "ultra high" settings on Flight Simulator X.
Here are my specs:
Intel Core i7 Q820 1.7 GHz
4 GB DD3 1981 MHz RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 4570
1920x1080 Full HD(Ddnt quite understand what Display ment :S) -
dirt 2 just came out, specs in sig. >_>
-
Why would you even ask when you already know the answer? Someone who purchases an Alienware and configures it with those specifications sure as he*l knows enough about gaming requirements. None the less my system handles the game maxed at 1080p with average of 30-38 fps, so yours will kill it.
-
Lol I love responses like that even though they make me feel stupid
-
You'll be able to run games well at great settings for years to come, so money well spent.
-
Native res, all high, AA off.
No it can't, you'll have lags. read this... http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=5651185
They already answered your post. No need for double posting.
What's the point of asking those Q if there is currently no faster graphic card notebook system out there. And you already know that. -
Can I run these games ? anyway from lowest-highest good? COD4 modern warfare, Age of empires three, battlefield two, fallout three.? I have intel GMA 4500 mhd, and 4 gigs ram and 320gig 5400 rpm HD along with intel core duo t6500 2.2 ghz.
-
COD : NO
Age of Emp : probably lower settings
BF2 : yes but lower settings, and you will need to check for compatibility issues
Fallout 3 : NO -

Depends on your definition of playable, even though the game actually ran doesn't mean all players can stomach the performance.
-
Just watched it...still say NO. -
O, integraded GPU's should be condemned from this world.
-
I'm pretty sure my Alienware M15x can run just about anything. The question I have is what settings can i expect to play Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Falout 3 on?
Alienware M15x
Intel Core i7 720QM @ 1.6 Ghz, up to 2.8 Ghz in turbo mode
512 MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
4 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 Mhz
15.6-inch WideHD+ 1600x900 (900p) WLED Display
250GB SATAII 7,200RPM Hard Drive
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit -
crysis games on medium 1366*768, fallout 3 high native.
should of ordered it with gtx 260m. -
gaming world? totally. otherwise it has its uses.
-
Yeah i agree, i should have bought the 260. But I didn't really have the funds. I could always upgrade the GPU later down the road though.
-
I'm wondering if my laptop will be able to handle Team Fortress 2 and Left for Dead. Thanks!
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 HD
4 GB of RAM
1600x900 resolution -
high, native res for tf2, med-high native for l4d.
-
Just got GTA IV off Steam for $5. It won't be a few days till I can DL it cause of my ISP gigabyte limit, but was just wondering what kind of settings i can expect to run on it. i heard it was pretty rough, even with my setup....
Thank you!
btw I have my CPU OCed to 2.3ghz if that makes much difference.... -
It will actually, the quad will help a fair bit compared to a dual core.
I can't give you exact settings, but I imagine you should be able to run it decently at higher resolutions, especially with the 1GB cards. -
Hey its the dude with the awesome hair from the unboxing video :O
I saw a benchmarking video of the game on the m17x, you should be able to get high at about 30 fps. Which is playable tbh -
Laptop specs is in sig. Does it run Dragon Age: Origins decently in Vista Ultimate x64?
For some reason "Can You Run It?" never works for me. I've enabled Java on my firefox (not sure about ActiveX) but it just says "Installing Component" forever -
high 1280*1024
-
My girlfriend got me the X360 version. I was wondering whether I should exchange it for the PC version? I've read that the PC version is more tactical and the UI is better. But is it worth it? Are there mods for it like Oblivion?
EDIT: I think I'll get the PC one for sure. I got Can You Run It working, and it says I need a Quad Core CPU, but I think mine is sufficient. But the weirdest part is the GPU requirement. It says I need 512Mb Video Ram, but says I have 2.0Gb. What's going on? -
turbocache, don't worry about it. it would run fine.
-
But still in the high 1280*1024 region? In this case, is the CPU the limiting factor, then?
-
no. your gpu is. t9300 is a good cpu.
-
So why isn't the GPU good enough when I have 2Gb of Video RAM?
-
Video RAM is not the end all answer to the performance of a graphics card. Also, you don't have 2GB of dedicated VRAM. Possibly borrowed.
Case in point, a 1GB ATI 3650 will get the snot beaten out of it by a 512MB 9800M GT. Or for the matter, a GDDR3 9600M GT will also beat the 1GB ATI 3650.
Your FX570m is basically equivalent to a GDDR3 8600M GT, and is very much a mid-range card.
It will choke to death on GTA4 at higher resolutions, but 1280 x 1024 should be fine. -
I see. Thanks
-
How about the 230M GT with 1GB memory? How does it compare to the desktop GPU's? Ive heard it about the same as a 9600? correct?
-
I believe the Geforce GT 230M was basically a relabeled Geforce 9600M GT, so in terms of a desktop GPU it should be near the level of the Geforce 9500 GT.
-
it's equivalent to the gt220, which is slower than a 9600 gt.
48sp 128bit gddr3 vs 64sp 256bit gddr3. -
Thanks people, & that makes it sound so weak, its like taking my left nut. (50%)
In practice .. tell me, what does sp actually do? I understand the bit part. -

short version, more=better. -
Anyone playing borderlands? how does it perform and how well do u reckon my 7738 will run it?
-
I play just fine on 1440x900 with a computer from 2004...Youll be perfectly fine at high settings.
-
okay looking at possibly buying a used Sager 8662 here are main specs:
2.8Ghz C2D P9700
4GB DDR3
nVidia 260m
7200RPM
WSXGA+ (16xx x1050)
I really prefer native resolution, so the following games I am curious about settings.
Modern Warfare 2
Dragon Age Origins
and Crysis on native and then possibly a step down to 1440x900 settings
Finally, how "futureproof" is this laptop? Isn't this CPU near the highest available from now on? Possibly can upgrade the GPU down the road I'm guessing.
Is the screen resolution for this 15.4" a bit much for the 260m if I'm wanting higher settings? B/c I wouldn't mind a 900p screen but this is what's available for the model. Anyway thanks for the input.
*edit* basically found the answer to my questions thanks to this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=415786
same configuration I'm looking at.. makes me happy. Hope I can snag this laptop now. -
Modern Warfare 2: Max settings
Dragon Age Origins: Im not sure but my guess is maxed settings
Crysis: If you want to run it on native resolution you have to turn down the settings a bit especally shaders
That laptop is pretty future proof since its has a the powerful high end 260m and a good dual core CPU so you should be playing the latest games at maxed settings for a few years -

At what settings can an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 play the newer games at? Whould it be good to buy a laptop with that graphics card in it now?

Hey Guys, I was wondering at what settings I would be able to play Grand Theft Auto IV. Thanks in advance!
CPU: Intel Core i7 720QM (1.6GHZ Base, 1333 MHz FSB, 6 MB L3 Cache)
GPU: 1024GB nVidia GeForce GT 230m
RAM: 4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
Display: FHD 1920x1080 -
What are you wanting to play and at what resolution? I had a Dell Studio XPS 1640 with that card and it handled nicely, and I had the 1080P screen and only wanted to play on native resolution, so of course I had to turn down some settings in order for it to look crisp.
I've played MW2, Dragon Age Origin, WoW, and a few other games on it before selling it. Let me know what you're curious about.
