Good morning everyone! My new laptop is on it's way, and I was curious if it will be able to play City of Heroes or WoW... At moderate settings. Thanks in advance!
Lenovo IdeaPad Y450
CPU:Intel® Core™2 Duo P7450 (2.13GHz, 3MB L2, 1066MHz FSB)
GPU:NVIDIA GeForce G110M
RAM:4GB (2 X 2GB) PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory
Display:14.0” WXGA (1366 X 768) LED
I hope it can. Gaming was not my 1st consideration for this laptop, and I couldn't pass up the deal. -
At what settings can the Thinkpad in my signature run the orange box games? At native resolution? Also, would Left for Dead 2 be playable on this system?

City of Heroes- maxed settings -
Awesome! Thank you very much. I was afraid that I'd stumped everyone!

Hi guys,got a replacement system from my insurance company an m571tu clevo laptop;{not the one in sig}
CPU-T6600
GPU-8800m GTX
RAM-2048gb
HDD-160gb
I suppose my question is,is the cpu ie the t6600 going to bottle neck the 8800m gtx or can these specs play games like borderlands, crysis left for dead 2 at high settings? -
Borderlands - medium to high, depending on resolution -

Games: The Sims 2 and 3. -

Yes well it's a notebook forums so I thought it was pretty obvious lol
I thought the fact that I asked also meant it was the machine which seemed less likely to run them.
Oh well, just to clarify, yes it's the T5010 I'm asking
I know that the Sims 2 ran on my old Celeron M and GMA950, but I just wanna make sure it can still run and if the 3rd installment will run on my T5010(seeing as I've been told it's not too graphically different than the 2nd game) -
Sims 3 apparently runs alright on integrated cards when I read the gamespot review, performance is going to be slightly weaker on integrated cards since it is slightly more advanced than its predecessor.

Modern Warfare 2 on sig?

specs: M15x 2.5ghz penryn, 8800gtx, 4 gig ram vista 32bit. I am noticing lag at 720p during the opening battle with high settings (not extra high) with fraps showing 30-50fps. Is this normal? I would have thought my system would have run it better than 360?? whats up?
-
mw2 p8700 cpu, 130m gt y550?
thanks

I'm running all highest settings with my 3650 (No AA), at 1280 x 800, and getting a 30FPS average. Not great I know, but if I set it to what you have set, I'd probably get 30 -50FPS as well, and any 8800M card is going to slap mine silly. -
I just got the new Sony Vaio F. It has a quad core i7, 6gig ram and an nvidia geforce GT 330m.
Do you think this can play Bad Company 2 at full HD? -
It's hard too tell, game's not out yet. But that is not a bad card, a bit faster than 240M or 9700M. But at FHD, definitely not at max settings...
-
Call of Duty World at War seems to be the hardest on my gpu -- low settings, tweaked config @ FHD and I get 40-60fps. -
-
I was able to run the Sims 2 on "max settings" with my old HP, but it was blocky once in a while so I'm just hoping I don't struggle on the 3rd one(otherwise I'll just install the 2nd one and be happy)
Thanks -
mass effect 2 + my system = ?
PS: i dont mind playing at non-native res if i have to (currently playing me1 at 1024x768) -
god! i'm so curious how will bc2 perform on my notebook. what do u recon?

I'm more used to the controls on PC, but I could probably transition to controller pretty easily.
I DO have my character from ME1 on PC and could import to ME2 if I get it for PC, but is it really that big of a deal? What advantages are there for importing an old character vs. starting with a new character?
Of course, I would be able to enjoy all the eye candy on 360 whereas for PC I'd have to play on low-med and at non-native res.
I can't decide! -
Modern Warfare 2 addict here. I'm spending a little too much time on the PS3 lately and taking up the TV. I just bought a Dell Studio XPS 16 with the specs below:
Intel Core-i5 430m (2.26 GHz)
4GB DDR3 RAM
HD4670 1GB
1920 x 1080 res
Just wondering if you think I'll be able to run MW2 at Full HD or will I have to scale it back a little. I'm a little unsure about the 4670 but it's the best Dell had outside of the "gaming" laptops. -
You should be able to max it at 1920 x 1080, but AA will probably bog you down a little. And don't underestimate the 4670, it's actually a pretty good card, about equivalent to the 9800M GS.
-
If you think 4670 is about equivalent to a 9800M gs, you are way wrong. Perhaps the performance will be on par with 9800M gs at low resolution, but at higher resolution, it gets outperformed by 9800M gs by a big margin.
My friend's Dell has a 4670 in it and he hooked his laptop to my 24" 1080P monitor once and tried a few games on it at 1920x1080, the result is well, rather disappoiting compared to my 9800M gs.
EDIT: Benchmarking says the same thing, about 2k difference in 3Dmark06 when both coupled with mid ranged dual cores. -
It will still run very well though. -
-
Hello.
Could you tell me if I can run the following games with these specs? If I can run them (at least some of them...), what settings can I play them on?
Games: BioShock, BioShock2, Fallout 3, Dead Space, Assassin's Creed 2
Specs (Asus UL50VG):
Intel Core 2 Duo 2x SU7300 1.34 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce G210M 512MB
1366x768
4GB RAM
Thanks in advance -
You can play it but on low, that is a weak card in terms of performance and gaming.
-
Oh and thanks for your quick reply! -
you might be able to play fo3 on medium. and bioshock is pretty taxing for an old game.
