I want to play Mass Effect 1. Would my laptop run it with these specs?

Windows Vista™ Home Premium (Service Pack 1)
    2046MB RAM
99.0 GB Hard drive (Should be 120GB)
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
(apparently rated at: 2.79GHz) ?? What does this mean?
    NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
    • Display Memory: 1012 MB
    • Dedicated Memory: 245 MB
    • Shared Memory: 767 MB

You can download the attachment: (DxDiag.txt) and take a look at the specs on there.

You can also look at the other attachments:

    Thanks. :)

EDIT: I'm sorry I didn't read the part about the order to put your specs in ! :(

You can run all of those games at medium/high depending on the game. 1366*768 is a low resolution so you may be able to crank the settings more :)

Well if u didn't do anything i made it happen for u. Finally got my hands on a key for the BC2 beta and oh my god! it's gorgeous. Managed to run it 1280x720 with medium settings overall 4x AA and 8x AF VSync off and it performed admirably! I'd say over 30-35 frames constantly maybe a drop in framerate when multiple opponents appeared in front of me. High settings are also pretty smooth but it tends to lag when other players appear. Actually the difference between medium and high settings is almost unnoticeable. Low is extremely fluent i get over 60 frames and it still looks brilliant, the effects are just as sharp as the higher settings the only difference is the shadow quality and textures which appear slightly wiped. I'd say the biggest help i got was from my quad core proccessor as i've understood that BC2 has some issues regarding duo cpus but is great at rendering when quad cores are available. The beta is great, amazing gameplay, amazing atmosphere and I think Bad Company 2 is going to be the best shooter out there. Cheers

Medium settings is reasonable to expect. GPU will be probably limit, but with adjusting some settings without major sacrificing of view experience you will get flawless gaming.

I would worry about games as CoD 4 and MW2 - since you need a good ammount of FPS to be able to shoot precisely ( ~50 fps ) and stand a chance in multiplayer you might need to restrict yourself to SP.
Mass Effect 1 seems badly optimized, since at the Presidium Citadel level my 9650m GT lags sometimes ( still...I run the game on ultra settings, native res ), but you should be able to run the game fine on lower res.
As for rest of the games, I wouldn't worry - IMO they will run 100%, RE5 on lowest settings tho'

Possible, depending on the resolution. Maybe some medium.

Probably medium, the game is still in beta and seems like it has some problem with ATI cards.

    Hello,
I searched the forum, but no one has yet commented on the "Sony Z" and Modern Warfare 2.

Game: Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2
    Laptop: Sony Z
    CPU: 2.53 Core 2 Duo
    Ram: 4gb
