The 9500M G should handle medium settings at native resolution for both games. The 9300M GS wouldn't be too far off in performance. These cards are both Low-end so don't expect much, but that's common to have for a light and compact notebooks and it's defiantly a better choice over integrated options out there.
-
Make that X4500MHD + SINS + 1024x640 resolution and low details for acceptable performance.
-
ouch. Its worse than I thought then. Glad it's not the primary gaming machine.
-
How well would an MSI GX620(the one with a 9600M GT GDRR3) run the following games? I'm trying to weigh if it's got enough power(or too much) for my current needs.
- DMC4
- Prince of Persia(the new one and the trilogy)
- The Witcher -
Guys, how do you think the 4650 and the GT 130M will stack up?
-
I'm buying the Sager NP8662 with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1,024MB PCI-Express DDR3 DX10 GPU and the Intel® P9600 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.66GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 25 watt CPU, can this run the most up-to-date games such as Empire Total War, Bioshock, COD: WAW etc at high settings with good performance? Thanks
-
Ha, the GTX 260M will obliterate all those games at max settings, max resolution. Full AA as well, though maybe not for BioShock.
-
Great! Thanks for the reply. =)
-
Probably maxed for all 3 games depending on which resolution you have, the 9600m GT GDDR3 should be powerful enough.
-
Hey, can my Acer Aspire 8930G-644G32MN (buying it next month)
Specs:
18.4'' screen 1920x1080
Nvidia 9600 GT 1 gb ddr2
Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor T6400 (2,0 GHz) 2x 2048kb cache.
4gb ddr3-1066 ram.
320gb sata hdd.
Can this machine run Tf2, Battlefield 2, L4D, CoH?
At what settings and what Fps?
Thanks, Cookie -
tf2 and l4d should run at high, 1440*900 or 1680*1050, but you will get slow downs in populated servers because the games are heavily cpu dependent.
bf2 should max out at native or 1680*1050. i don't know about coh. -
hd4650 should out perform the 130m by about 10-20%, more in high res.

Hi,
Can the Asus g50vt-x1 outperform the PS3 or the XBox 360 in most games?
And how well will it run Cysis and COD5?
This is the spec of the G50vt-x1
CPU : Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology with interrelated Intel® Core™2 Duo processor P8400 (2.26GHz, 1066MHz, 3mb L2 Cache)
Ram: 4GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GS with 512 mb memory (8500 3dmark 06)
The CPU can be factory overclocked to 2.5GHz
Thanks -
The 9800M GS should be better than any of the consoles out right now.
I believe it can run COD5 fine and Crysis at ~medium settings at native or something like that -
Brendanmurphy Your Worst Nightmare
The ps3 and xbox 360 gpu is equivalent of a 7900 gs if im not mistaken
-
so how will you compare them in real world?
I heard the ps3 has a 7 or 8 cores processor -
Brendanmurphy Your Worst Nightmare
Ps3 has 8 cores. 7 are used 1 is a backup just incase one fails
. All consoles overcome the weak gpus with amazing proccesor power
-
so in short how can the g50vt-x1 compare to the consoles considering both gpu and cpu?
-
Brendanmurphy Your Worst Nightmare
Im not really sure. But i know the ps3 is more powerful then most computers ( Don't argue with me about the architecture there good for what they do ) In a way -
in short your laptop will give you much better frame rate in multiplatform games.
you won't be able to crunch numbers like a ps3, but i don't think you want to anyway. -
wow thats amazing
So I don't need to buy a PS3. The think is no one of my friends believe that a laptop can beat a PS3. I have to show them this post.
Anyway gaming on laptop is more fun than PS3
. And I don't need to buy an HDTv just for gaming.
Thanks for the help
-
don't show them this post, instead, just demonstrate crysis @ all high to them
-
Brendanmurphy Your Worst Nightmare
LoL please don't show the ps3 fanboys this they will have a nervous breakdown
I myself own a ps3
-
Can someone also please answer this?
Will these games run on my laptop? Please put settings and resolution and average fps.

Also how is hd 3450 compared to hd 4530 and nvidia geforce 6800? -
Can i run dirt on high-low settings with these machines
2.0 ghz Core 2 Duo
3 GB Ram DDR2
Ati 4350 512mb (HP dv6t)
2.0 ghz core 2 duo P7350
4 GB RAM DDR2
9300m gs 512mb (hp dv3510nr)
2.0 GHz P7350
2 GB RAM 1066 mhz DDR3
9400m DDR2 (macbook basic) -
No I sincerely doubt the "high" part.
-
than what can i run it on
-
If those laptops were to run it it would be in the mid-low settings... Those gfx cards are low end, and the processor probably won't help. I am sorry but it would run but not with all of the fancy effects, however it will mostly be on medium settings at a decentish framerate, it should be playable on all of those cards.
-
Any laptop with an Nvidia 8600m GT, ATI HD 2600, or better will run it pretty well.
-
You mean 9600M GT or better. Don't steer him towards the Dell M1530, that's a bag of hurt there.
-
I think the PS3 runs all games on 1280 by 720 (or even lower sometimes), then upscales it using its godly CPU power.
-
Just wondering, I plan to buy the M980NU whenever it comes out. And fully spec out the thing. U think that thing can run Crysis and Warhead with everything full? I dont need it to run GTA IV since I got a PS3 for that.
-
I'd say you can run medium fine.
-
can the g50vt handle it at all high
?
-
yes. at least at 1366*768.
-
Hi there, I wonder if you could help.
I've just ordered a new laptop, specs:
AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Processor RM72 2.1ghz, 3GB RAM, ATI Radeon 3450, 250gb hard drive
Will this run:
Dawn of war 2, warhammer online
Cheers -
My g50vt is the X1 version. Its max resolution is 1366*768
Do you mean all high the enthusiast setting? Or the gamer?
-
i think it's gamer, enthusiast is a little too much for it, you could try though, it never hurts.
-
Medium is probably the best you can play. No maxed out settings though. My laptop has a 9300M GS and 2.53ghz cpu and it runs games well in pseudo high settings.
-
And what are "pseudo high" settings?
-
mobius1aic Notebook Deity NBR Reviewer
You should definitely hit medium settings I'd think.
-
It will run...but I doubt it will run on High settings as smooth as you want it to. It will definately run...but you will have to play with the settings to get it where you want it. Dont expect to crank everything to max and have it run perfectly.
-
I have a pc I want to play games with if not then I would just have to but a graphics card but before that do you guys think my pc can run counter-strike?
DESCRIPTION:

Graphics Card.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
Please respond I want to play this game cause I played it at my friends house and I liked it... -
Hi guys,
My lap's specs are in the sig, but anywyas...
C2D P8400 @2.26ghz
Geforce 9600gt ddr2
4 gigs ram
Wanted to know the best graphics/performance settings for Fallout 3, DMC4, and Assasins Creed
Thanks in advance!!!! -
I'm pretty sure it will
-
I doubt the GMA 950 can handle running any game, but you can try to run the game in DX7 mode. Some people said that they ran HL2 and GMod on netbooks.
-
It can run it, but very poorly. You will have to make some major aesthetic sacrifices in order to get anywhere near acceptable performance, ie, turn down resolution, run in a different DX mode (as mentioned above), turn off *all* effects, etc.
