Look @ my P.S. - there's the form to fill up and where's said - "here" it's the link to the "What Notebook Should I Buy? " thread where at least one person will give you fast adviceGood luck
Anyway, you haven't mentioned Crysis before - while waiting for posts on your thread in the "questioning section" try @ YouTube for videos of that Acer. I can give you a clear shot of one - it's someone's profile ( don't know the guy, just was checking the gaming capability of HD3650 - this is for "spam" reporters) - check it, it would help as it helped me![]()

How would Oblivion do with a T5800 (2.0 ghz) and an Intel 950?
-
Sims 3 on a C2D T5450 Vista 2gb RAM Intel x3100?
-
CPU: Core 2 DUO P8600 2.4 Ghz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS, 512 Mo Dedicated (discrete for lappys)
RAM:4GO
Display:WXGA
OS : just a 64 Bit XP !
Games :
GTA 4, Assassin's Creed,Halo2,Fallout 3?
i don't care about res, in fact i'm fine with 600x400 if it runs fast xD -
^
GTA:low, with some lag still
Assassins Creed, low, with low resolution
Halo 2: low, with ok resolution
Fallout 3: low-medium, ok resolution (nothing higher then 1280x800) -
It'll struggle to run stably even with the Oldblivion mod, you need to play around with the different 950 drivers as well to get a decent chance of playing the game.

Can this notebook run The Sims 3? Expected FPS?

How will "Halo 2" and "Call of Duty 4" run on this?:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6400 2.0 GHz
GPU: 512MB nVidia 105M
RAM: 3 GB DDR2
Display: 1280x800
OS: Vista 64-bit -
I think you can run Call of Duty at low (maybe medium) grahpichs at 1280 X 800.
-
Anyone can help
-
^^ the limiting factor might be your CPU, empire total war is very CPU intensive so you may experience slowdown during some of the bigger battles.
-
Meh no reply, trying again.
Counter Strike:Source on 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, Intel 4500MHD. Possible? -
How will empires total war run on this laptop?
Dell Studio 15
Intel® Pentium Dual Core T4200 2.0GHz
3GB DDR2
256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 -
Yes, it is. Maybe you will feel a bit ping-down when a large number of players are present in the same time, but generally it will go just fine.
You will run it on medium to high setting, with reasonable resolution. E:TW is very processor demanding so you may expreience some slowdowns during the great battles or some special effects. -
How will Crysis: Warhead run on this?
Intel® Core™ i7-920 Processor 2.66 ghz

Nvidia GTX 280m -
@ Ginroth - "probably even if you play it on 1280x800 it's gonna lag for real with at least 24 FPS which is a poor result..."
I hope you are kidding about that configuration, right ? This config is top notch so even GTA 4 won't be a problem mate

Hey, I have never really done this before, but I am in the market for a new laptop. I really want to play Empire Total War, Medieval Two Total War, and World in Conflict at high frame rates and at high settings. I was looking at the Dell Studio XPS 16 with
core 2 duo at 2.4 ghz, 4 GB ram
ATI Mobility RADEON M86XT 512MB aka 3670 (discrete)
1920 X 1080 native.
Can this dell play these games well?
I Was also looking at purchasing a Mac Book Pro 15" and just downloading bootcamp. I was going to purchase the new, Summer 2009 unibody MBP.
2.66 Ghz
4 GB ram
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 256MB
1440 X 900 native
thanks four your helps guys. i know its a lot. -
Both of those systems will run Empire Total War on higher settings while World in Conflict should run fine on medium high settings, but why in God's name would you buy an overpriced/underequipped MacBook to install a crippled Windows on it? If you want your moneys worth I suggest you look into the upcoming ASUS G51 series.
-
because i personally think that asus is god awful ugly. but you think a MBP could cut it with boot camp?
-
Yep, MBP with bootcamp can run games just fine. Just make sure to install proper graphics drivers from www.laptopvideo2go.com once you've got Windows installed.
-
Hi i'm about to purchase a Sony vaio z690 CTO, and wanted to know if i can run WOW:wotlk on it. Its got the 9300m gs. thanks. if more specs are needed i can post those too...
-
Yes, it will run WOW - WoTLK, but probably on low quality with 1280x720
-
How well will Prototype play on my notebook? Asus

Can I run Crysis at any settings?
Intel P8600 2.4GHz
NVIDIA MCP79MX GeForce 9400M-G
3GB RAM -
Yes, low with some medium settings.....
-
yeah i definately wouldn't try to put it any higher than that, although it would be interesting to see someone try to play it on high with those specs lol.
-
Hey (first post), I was wondering if my acer aspire 5920 would be able to run the sims 3?
http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/laptops/0,39030091,49290611,00.htm
-
According to official game system requirements, you will be able to play it without problems. Your main components (CPU, memory, GPU) are more than strong enough to play Sims 3 on medium/high.
-
You should be able to play on all high
i get 20-30 fps on all high and i have a lower speced laptop -
thought this would be the best place to put it:
what is the equivolent to an nvidia 6600 and 6800? a lot of games state this as minimum spec, but ive never worked it out. the way i thought was 9200=8400, 8400 will be more than a 7400/500, so 6600 specs should be fine on a 9200.
why do so many games ask for 6600? was there a major improvement (sharder 3.0 etc)? -
The reason why they would put the 6xxx is because of just time itself, many people that are not "gamers" and don't keep up with hardware generally have these older models, so making it more convenient. Also, they are weaker then current cards out, and are mainly in the MINIMUM requirements

Intel P8600 2.4GHz

Can I run CoD 4 at any resolutions or settings?
Also, is it more graphics and processor intensive to run games on my 1080P HDTV through hdmi? -
You will have no problem to run CoD 4, but I don't think you can run games on high resuloution through HDMI.
-
Hello:
I intend to buy a laptop Acer Aspire 5536, its specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 DualCore - 2.1GHz - 1M cache
2GB Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon HD3200
Do you think it can run Fifa 09? what about Fifa 08 ?
Thanks. -
I tested the FIFA 09 demo with my laptop (specs below, it's a bit more powerful than the one you propose) and it was quite playable at low settings, but the replays, the animations when the players appear and so, were very choppy. Playable, but not very enjoyable.
-
It's a known issue in the game that the replays lags. It can also happens on high-end systems.
-
Can my Laptop run Arma 2 on Minimum specs or whatever lol
CPU - 2.00 GHZ x 2
RAM - 3GB
GFX Card - 256mb ATI Radeon HD 3470
Anything else just ask
-
According to system requirements on the internet, you will be able to run it on medium/high settings. Of course, you are familiar with the fact that Vista often requires a bit more hardware powere in games than XP?
-
COD4 on the set up in the sig.
Thank you -
Shouldnt have a problem. had it running with everything on high exc AA/AF res 1280x800 on my 8400M GS, and yours is quite a bit more powerful.
Have Fun -
Cheers dude
will the framerate be poor? -
