How about other gta games like sa vc and iii. Also as everyone else I would love to know about the sims 3. But also the sims 2 appartmebt life. I know with vista it takes extra gigahertz and if anyone knows about ghostbusters, praying I can handle it.
-
sims 3 should run max or near it
sims 2 def max
ghostbusters will run for sure, i'd guess medium/high (medium is low end guess) only games your computer will have trouble running is gta4 and crysis, and even those should run. -
HollywoodLights Notebook Consultant
And what about Guitar Heros Areosmith and World Tour...everyone I have talked to has had a different opinion
-
GTA3, VC, and SA will run on max settings even my old laptop with HD3450 could it
Halo and halo 2 should run on max settings
idk about ghostbusters -

On what settings (or at least how well) do you think I will be able to run 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul on my new laptop? Please do not bite my head off that I do not have a dedicated graphics card as gaming is not the first use of this laptop
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500 (2.1GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
GPU: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (it has like 1800MB shared RAM)
RAM: 4096MB DDR2 RAM [2x2048]
Display: 16" HD HP Brightview 1366x768
Here are the minimum requirements for the game: http://www.valusoftsupport.com/KBArticle.asp?kbid=5758 -

Hey
It's a new laptop and so far I haven't tested any game so I'm curious. I guess the GPU will be the biggest bottleneck?
HP 8530W
Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 (2,8ghz)
4GB Ram
nVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512Mt
Vista business 64bit
Either on 1920x1080 or 1680×1050 res
Planning to play GTAIV, COD4, FSX. Am I aiming too high? -
COD4= medium with maybe some stuff to high with lower resolution(something like 1280x800)
GTAIV= low-medium with low res
don't know about the other one -

i'd suggest this:

same price as the ones you have listed but 10000 times better, it will max all 3 out. -

I was wondering if my notebook could run Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and what sorta settings.
I know it's not out yet but here are the Min Requuirements:
Minimum requirement
Operating system: Windows XP SP2 or later
Shader 3.0 (GeForce 7900 GT / 256 MB VRAM or higher), DirectX 9.0c
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Memory: 1 GB
Hard disk: 8 GB
Dual Core CPU 2 x 2.4 GHz
DVD drive: Dual Layer DVD-ROM
My Notebook:
CPU: Core 2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2 Cache)
GPU: 8600M GT 256mb DDR3
RAM:4GB
Display: 1400x900 native -
I would think that the game will run but expect low settings and/or low resolutions (most likely not native)

Here is the info I dug up for guitar hero III: Legends of Rock
-
Haha.....you should be able to run it at high with no problems.
The recommended Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz is entirely off.....no way will it need that much CPU -
HollywoodLights Notebook Consultant
think the same should be true on guitar hero aerosmith?
-
It should be able to run any guitar hero games of any kind with no problems.
Those "casual" games just are never very graphically intensive. -

This is a great relief to me then. It looks like I will finally get the oppurtunity to be a full fledged PC gamer. LOL.

I was wondering if my notebook could run the new Wolfenstein and what sorta settings.
I know it's not out yet but here are the Min Requuirements:
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon(TM) 64 3400+ processor
RAM: 1GB RAM
Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA(R) Geforce(R) 6800 GT or ATI Radeon(TM) X800
Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
HDD Space: 8GB (Plus an additional 800MB for Windows swap file)
Media: 100% Microsoft Windows compatible DVD-ROM drive
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for multiplayer
My Notebook:
CPU: Core 2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2 Cache)
GPU: 8600M GT 256mb DDR3
RAM:4GB
Display: 1400x900 native -
It should do fine. It probably won't max out settings or anything, but medium would be reasonable.
-
cool thanks

What do you think I could pull from the new wolfenstien (just found out they are making it lol)
-
Will I be able to run Fallout 3, and at what settings on this computer:
Sony Vaio SR430
Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53 GHz
4096 MB DDR2
7200RPM HDD
1280 x 800
HD 4570 with 512MB GDDR3
I'm guessing at that low of a resolution the 4570 won't be handicapped, and a mix of mid/high will be possible. -
-
Hello, I was wondering at what settings I would be able to play Crysis? Also would I be able to play Civilization 4 at high res?
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme Qx9300 2.53GHz
GPU: nVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT 3D
RAM: 4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x2048]
Display: WXGA+ 1680x1050 -
civ 4: no idea, i dont play rts :/ looking at the system reqs though you should be able to run it very well. -
Civilization games are particularly processor and RAM intensive. Given the fact that he has both of that in high amount, there will be no slowdowns in gaming.

-
How about Bioshock 2?
"DirectX 9.0c compliant card with 512 MB RAM (NVIDIA 7900GT or better) or DirectX 10 compliant card (NVIDIA 8600 or better)"
For DX10, what is the desktop equivlant to the 9800m GTS? -
my question was how do i make it perform faster?
what does run at max settings mean.
do i need to go into NVIDIA control pannel and do something?
my vertical sync is force off -
If it is under 60, then go into video and turn off HDR. If it is still under 60, disable AA and Anostrophic. If it is still low, change detail settings -
