Hey, I was wondering how this laptop with the following specs would run games:
CPU: Intel Pentium M @ 1.8 Ghz
GPU: ATI Radeon 9600 w/64 mb dedicated Vram
RAM: 1 GB DDR
SCREEN: 14-inch XGA (1024x768) TFT
I was wondering if it could play these games (and at what settings)
1. The Sims 3
2. Age of Empires 3
3. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
4. 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul
I don't care what settings or resolution I have to play them on, I just want to be able to play them![]()

Okay, thanks!
Umm.... so I have narrowed down my choices to these 3 laptop with these video cards:
1. ATI Radeon X300 w/64mb
2. ATI Radeon 9600 w/64mb
3. Nvidia GeForce 6200 w/64mb
I was wondering which one would play the following games the best:
1. The Sims 3
2. Age of Empires 3
3. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
4. 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul
So which GPU will perform the BEST?
Thanks,
Dylan -

No undervolting (CPU) does not reduce performance in anyway, it's a very effective way of cooling your computer and getting more battery life out of it. There is an undervolting guide in the hardware section.
There you will find all your answers to undevolting.
EDIT: Actually, click that undevolting guide link. -

•4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)

New laptop buyer here.
Sony Vaio FW series:
-Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53GHz w/ 3MB of L2 Cache
-4GB DDR2 800
-ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 1024mb (I researched this card some and saw
that it comes in a DDR2, DDR3, and a GDDR3 version. It was not specified which type of memory was but with 1024mb's, I'm assuming its not GDDR)
What can I run gaming wise?
WoW
CoD4
MW2 (when it's released)
Bioshock
Crysis (just a comparison to reply's on other systems)
Side note- Does this seem like a good deal for $900 with the specs above and --> 320gb 7200 HDD---1600x900 res.-16.4"screen?
Thanks! -
O yeah, im gonna be using this too.

it lets me hook up an external desktop GPU
so do i get a reevaluation or what -
Was wondering if my laptop is powerful enough to play "Guitar Hero: World Tour".
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5750 (2.0 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 cache)
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 HyperMemory with 512MB of video memory
RAM: 3 GB DDR2
Display: 17" 1280x1024
Its the Acer Aspire 5920G -
cod 4 - max
mw2 -maybe high
bioshock - max
crysis - med/some high
as for the deal $900 seems fair, though if your willing to drop another 150 you can get much better gaming with the best buy asus gaming laptop. -
sims 3 = max
mw2 = not out yet, ill guess high/max though
fallout 3 = max
crysis = high

So i'm interested in the HP tx2z tablet pc with the maxed out specs
CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 2.4Ghz
GPU: ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3200 - 64MB sideport memory +1GB shared
RAM: 4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x2048]
Display: 1280x800
Will it run Battlefield 2? at least on minimal settings?
if not i might just wait for the tx3.. if there ever is one..
PS: i know RAM and CPU are easily enough, i'm just wondering about the GPU, if the VRAM will be fast enough etc... -
I'm sorry, for this little rant, but all I wanted was an answer, I didn't need to be made fun of or criticized... -
The 6200 would be your best bet. Like I said, if you're still getting it for $250, it's a great deal.

because i had a macbook pro with the 8600M GT with 128MB RAM and on some occasions it lagged (esp. when zooming) but i guess i can run it on all low with higher framerates, as it'll only be my secondary pc anyways..
i got a sweet i7 desktop here -

Hi guys
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10126104&catid=28239#
I'm looking at this budget notebook, going to stick kubuntu in it. I'd like to know if it could:
-Run the beryl cube comfortably with caps and skydome
-Have at most 2 firefox windows open with 6 tabs each with beryl running
-Be able to play some 720p videos with beryl running
-Watch youtube and vimeo vids full screen without any lag
-Run an windows under emulation at 800x600
That's about all I'll need in terms of stressfull stuff. I know they're not really gaming demands, but I don't think the video chip here was made for gaming either.
here are the specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core TK-42 1.6Ghz 1MBL2
GPU: ATI Radeon X1200
RAM: 3GB DDR2 I believe
Display: 1366x768
Thanks -

Hey, I have an HP Pavillion dv9700 with the following specs:
Intel t7250 core 2 duo @ 2.00 GHZ
3 GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 8600m GS (512 MB)
I was wondering if I could run Empire: Total War and Armed Assault 2 on this computer. Thanks! -
I've have not been in the gaming scenes in a while, but since I bought my new system, I am getting back into the rigs.
Lately, I've been playing Left 4 Dead at all Maximum settings possible. My system loves it and thinks it's a breeze. However, when I put in Crysis, my computers starts crying a little as it struggles at Very high settings.
Basically I want to know what games my system can play at Very High to Maximum settings (Medium settings won't cut it for me - Unless desktops themselves struggle with the game as well).
Here is my system.
Alienware M17x - All powerful
CPU: Q9000 Overclocked to 2.4 GHz
GPU: Dual GTX 280M in Sli (9400M integrated)
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Display: 1900x1200
HDD: Intel SSD 80GB X-25M -

Screen Resolution: 1600 X 900, 17 inch screen
Can it handle Fallout 3 and GTA4? -
gta 4 - med -
CPU - Intel® Core™2 Duo Mobile T9400 (2.53GHz) 1066MHz FSB/6MB L2 Cache
Memory - 4GB CORSAIR DDR2 667MHz SODIMM (2x2GB)
Graphics - 512MB GDDRII Nvidia GeForce® GO 9600GS PCI Express 128bit

2.3Ghz Turion X2 Dual Core RM-77 (2.3GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)
4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 4530 -
-

dont have to get an attitude about it
anyway, max res is 1366x768, hoping to upgrade the screen to 1920x1200 soon as I find the ins and outs of it.
-Crysis
-Empire Total War
-Grand Age Rome
-Street Fighter IV
-Dawn of Discovery
-Need for Speed Shift
-Batman Arkham Asylum -
Comparing 2 Acer Laptops just wondering which one would be a better performing gaming machine:
Acer Aspire 6935G:
Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB
4GB DDR2 RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.00GHz 3MB Cache (1066MHz FSB)
Or
Acer Aspire 6930G
Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT 1GB
4GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.00GHz 3MB Cache (1066MHz FSB)
I know that anything really new won't work that well on a laptop but would like to play Battlefield 2, The Sims 3, Fallout 3 and Hearts of Iron III, Command and Conquer, Half Life 2, Fm 2009/2010 and maybe Spore. -
empire -med
grand age -never heard of it
street fighter -med
dawn of discovery - never heard of it
shift - not out
batman -high/max
yuo will have trouble gaming at 1900x1200 resolution, at your current res you will be fine though
