    *ATTENTION ALL NVIDIA USERS*

    314.07 DRIVERS ARE UTTER RUBBISH!

I tested 310.90 and guess what? I was getting the same FPS at high settings as I was at lowest settings on 314.07. At lowest 310.90 gave me about 10fps extra. I highly recommend reverting to those drivers.

65% improvement in Crysis 3 my a r s e. More like 65% decrease! Just have to wait until NVIDIA get their act together...

They work fine for me, the 65% improvement was for SLI anyway, not single cards. It should still perform better than 314.07.

hmm interesting, now I am running with 2xSMAA 8xAnisotropic LOW MotionBlur and rest is VERY HIGH with +30fps (in most environments, sometimes dips to 20s). disable v-sync if it is on (as previously mentioned, for some reason v-sync does something bad in the game), btw I am at stock.

Turn off V-Sync and apply through control panel if you're NVIDIA user - seems to help as well.

Still poor performance compared to beta though :(

Hoping for patch or new driver (preferably both) this coming week.

13.2 beta6 drivers, did you disable v-sync? it really helps 5-10fps. Also I am getting 25ish fps at that rain too, that rain is crazy :)

I was not able to enjoy the game on GTX 680M stock clocks. I OC'ed it +135 core and +225 memory. max temp reached 90 C last night  I am playing on high settings. Very high is just downright unplayable for me with fps lows of 17.
first 2 chapters has horrible performance. It got a lot better on 3rd and 4th. now i am getting between 40-70 fps, but the game is melting my GPU. it got so hot last night, i had to open my bedroom window in this cold Minnesota weather :)

Coming to game-play department, AI is so pathetic. CELL agents are fricking suicide bombers! In the first 4 chapters, I saw at-least 30-40 CELL agents die by their own grenades...lol
I got stuck in walls a couple of times. they made the game so easy with the compound bow. stealth + compound bow = easy win.

the game is still enjoyable. it looks gorgeous, even on the lowest settings. Crytek should give more advanced graphic options like tessalation, DOF, SSAO. there is no option to turn these ON/OFF now.

    Overall, i give it 80/100.

umkc, I'm running stock clocks with everything set to low, and FXAA, frames are always around 80 and temp never exeeds 78°

Try low settings, I know what you are thinking, I didnt buy a 680 to play on low, but honestly I dont see much of a difference, not something that would warrant a 45 frame loss.... Oh and make sure you are on 310.190 drivers

I don't know if it is me or my eyes but I think there is a lot of difference between low and very high..

about the AI, I just had the situation where I hunted one of the ceph while invis with the bow, about 10 of them gathered into one little corner to hide, one explosive arrow there and booooooom :)

There is of course a difference between very high and low, but can anyone run very high? maybe a SLI 690 setup could :D

I'm running very high with 2xMSAA and vsync. Pretty much constant 60 fps with dips down to 45 fps or so every now and then. Runs really well with the new WHQL.

Thanks man, 680m sli slots in a little above a desktop 680; I was honestly hoping to be able to crank the settings up further lol. With 4xMSAA framerates drop to 35-50 fps, so I keep the aa pretty low.

I'm sure Nvidia will improve the drivers soon. The 680m handles Crysis 2 better than the 7970m, so I think it has the potential to be the same for Crysis 3 :)

crosslimit, i know what you mean...i cant play on low :) ..i will try playing on medium settings... at-least its a middle ground. the reason i want to do this is because i am hurting my GPU on high. 80-90 C is really bad...i think.

why are you using 310.190? did u try the latest drivers? they were released specifically for crysis 3.

    Ok,

I am getting 45~60 fps on a single gpu. Have the latest AMD drivers. Graphics options very high with smaax1. Am running on a 6990m and max temp is 90C for GPU and CPU around 74C max.
The game is quite buggy but generally ok had a few random crashes ( the opening 1st level is really bad Crytek have done something bad in the programming fps drops to 18 ~22 fps in some scenes I am not sure what it is cause after 1st mission it works better) I dunno the opening scene was a bit stupid and I am now more comfortable after the 1st mission into the 2nd mission with the grass area feels more familiar and plays smoother better too. The game feels like Crysis 2 from mission 2 and it feels ok for the new weapons - the bow and arrow and the pulse gun but i dunno it feels like crysis 2 all over again.

The graphics are nicenpretty but I still think MaldoHD on Crysis 2 still beats this and is better optimized and programmed much better.
This Crysis 3 feels buggy especially the 1st level.

The game definitely needs some work on cleaning up some of these issues. Crysis 2 had its own issues (10,000 polygon jersey barriers). I'm sure we'll see a patch to fix the problems.

First of all the 6990M is not that old. Second of all, not everyone wants to just set everything to low. Just because you want to do something doesn't mean you can tell everyone to shut up and do it.

Yeah this is crazy... what is crytek thinking??
Something is totally amiss with this game in the settings.

I would like to see the config file and see what they have done with low V very high system spec and advanced graphics options. It was the same with crysis 2 until someone came up with a nice little utility to change all the settings. It seems the same is happening here in Crysis 3 however, I am running at 60 fps and it looks beautiful.

Yeah that is the irony the system spec can be low yet the graphics is very high and it runs amazingly great and looks unbelievable all at 60 fps...who needs to upgrade?
