It said the tenth previously; I've been checking every couple days in case there is a pre-load. It feels like found money.
-
Hopefully they are scaling up the CDN for this, I've also been checking for preload, I can't recall if preload has ever been a thing on GOG.
-
Same, I've never done one there and don't know if it's a thing or not. If they're smart it'll be on; no way their servers don't take a massive hit on this one.

Updated system requirements:
No frame rate targets listed, but the lack of it tells me it's probably 30 FPS. -
yey I can play normal 1080p with my 1060......not bad not bad at all thanks for that
dude I have 16gb of mem and 6gb of vram this is exciting can't you guys tell -
Nice, I should be good to go with 3700x/3080 on desktop, we'll see if I want to enable RT or not. Looks like even the 9750h/1650 tablet may be able to play it on lower settings!
-
Hmmm... I wonder what a notebook with a desktop 1080 with 8 gigs will be able to produce? For me 70 to 90 as long as it's steady is a decent frame rate and I'm hoping to get that native which is 2k. Looks possible but not a slam dunk either, the suspense continues.
-
yrekabakery Notebook Virtuoso
About 50 FPS at 1080p High would be my guess based on that chart. A 1080 is about 70% faster than a 1060 which gets I assume 30 at 1080p High.
-
ratchetnclank Notebook Deity
I'm hoping for 60 fps at 1080p with ray traced reflections on. Not sure ill be able to get global illumination as well.
-
Notice 6800XT is on non-RT ultra but is entirely absent in RT reqs.
-
I'm inclined to think that they simply didnt have the hardware to verify it soon enough.
They didnt specify if the RT requirements were using DLSS or not as well. -
yrekabakery Notebook Virtuoso
RT requirements are with DLSS.

I assumed it would be required to get a good experience. With a 3070 with DLSS, I suppose 2080TI would work as well, for just 1440p I MIIIIIGHT wait till I can get a 30 series card... decisions..
-
Only quad core CPU has me thinking that the AI will be dumb as a rock, or that there are very little NPCs going around..
In other words, game was knee capped so it kinda sort of runs on last gen consoles... -
Or maybe with those specs you won't be getting much beyond 30fps anyways so the problem kind of takes care of itself.
-
30? says who
its a xbone port

This is the type of build we expect to be able to run Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p and high settings, with ray tracing and DLSS, while still getting close to 60 fps. However, that's only a guesstimate as we don't actually know how demanding the game will be.
intelligent people guess 60 -
I think we should just wait and see instead of making assumptions. I'm sure it will be just fine, I'm not expecting it to become sentient.killkenny1 and Prototime like this.

Interesting. I assume that means the XSX/XSS/PS5 won't receive ray tracing support at first either. At least 20-series and the handful of 30-series owners will be taken care of.

This was always the case as the only version the next gen consoles can get is the previous gen version run via backwards compatibility at launch. -

Interesting. Wondering if there's a leak around or they have legit early builds.
Sorry if the answer is obvious from the video, I haven't watched it. Not entirely sure it's not just clickbait and at this point even in the actual trailers, I feel there are too many spoilers already.Last edited: Nov 22, 2020 -
yeah i didn't search for the leaked game videos as it would ruin it for me....videos a little click baity.
but it looks like at least one console player got the game running.
also it does look like they are targeting 60fps with the required specs...all i can say is thank gawd and doesnt suprise me as the witcher 3 runs like a dream with hairworks off while still maintaining cutting edge graphics....last time i checked i think i was getting 60-90 fps on average -
Claims 175 hours on a slow stealth do the side quest game and goes on to say he has 500 hours in with various builds; you would think there is some substance if true.

yeah I know I was a cynic about it also but like who would make this up eh lol....damn interwebs
-
It would seem that the developers have declared the legacy console performance is now acceptable during a shareholder conference call. The smart people seem to think this makes the 10 December release date highly likely while my lesser mind feels that I'll be fully prepared to believe the release date when I'm downloading the game.
-
I heard most if not all buildings can not be explored ect and path via text options has little or no effect.....really makes you appreciate a game like witcher 3 and GTA v, I really hope there is interesting things to check out but tbh it's looking like a closed game world rpg as far as depth goes....really disappointed
-
You can definitely explore some of the buildings but not all, there was agreement on that point from those that were able to play the 16 hour preview. Most of those previewers were big media types like IGN which I don't have much trust for but there was a consensus that you can go into buildings where there were activities to be done across multiple floors. If anyone has posted the amount of that procedural versus hand crafted I haven't come across it. There is also the fact that they have many more quests in place, lines of dialogue, that sort of thing, than Witcher 3; you have to figure they're doing something with all that right?
I'm going to remain hopeful because I did something I rarely do, pre-ordered. I'm invested.
-
The side quests in Witcher 3 were some of the best around, not a whole lot of filler like Bethesda's radiant system. Skyrim did have some decent side quests though, I'm actually playing it yet again.. using SE this time with a few mods to bump up fidelity. But if Witcher 3 is anything to go by the side quests in CP2077 will be good. I couldn't see them regressing there.killkenny1 likes this.

Personally i don't want to go into every building as there is no way they can spend time rendering them all to be unique or without some being generic copy and paste. I'd prefer the ones you can go in to be well designed/detailed.
-
I really really hope so... the 16 hour preview guy answered alot of questions and i hope hes wrong....fingers crossed
-
For me it depends on the scope and what is actually there when you get in the building. If it's boring procedurally generated stuff I wouldn't go into many even if I could go into them all. On the other hand if it's too few I'll get tired trying to enter and failing even if the content is good on the rear occasion you can go in. For more than a year they've been saying some of the buildings can be entered and there will be content when you do. To me the question becomes how many and will the content make it a trip worth taking?
We also don't know what exactly the preview was; while they were given free reign within the version they played that version could have been neutered for a number of reasons: To protect story lines and quests they didn't want to reveal, the same that were incomplete, to prevent them from running into game breaking bugs, etc. As pointed out elsewhere an easy way to lock previewers out of those things would have been too lock the doors that led to them.
That's just more conjecture though, other people spgame lling just like us. Could be the game end up being about as much fun as a hemorrhoid.
-
yeah like don't get me wrong im super excited but it will need more than a good story to be worth it too me. i'd rather watch a movie...the game just doesnt look fun as it stands and thats not a good thing, nothing revolutionary in the mechanics or the combat.
anyone else getting the vibe it just doesn't look fun -
Not, not sharing that but I wasn't expecting anything revolutionary or new. I was hoping for an upgraded version of this type of game in the Cyberpunk universe. I loved, for example, KOTOR, Dragon Age:O, Mass Effect, the Witcher, etc. No question they had me at hello with Cyberpunk 2077. All they have to do is make that type of game and raise the bar a little and I'm going to be fully sated. And I do mean sated as in an hour after Thanksgiving dinner with a beer in my hand I cant drink because I'm so stuffed kinda sated. If it's more than that, great, I'll switch the Thanksgiving dinner analogy over to a naked supermodel analogy and to go back to the G rated analogy, enjoy the extra gravy.

yeah im still excited its just the guy that played for 16 hours kinda put it down tacitly -
I would bargain if you liked Wticher 3 you'll probably like it. If you didn't (and it wasn't just the fantasy setting), you won't. CDPR haven't let me down yet so I'll give them the benefit of going in with positive excitement until they do.JRE84 and killkenny1 like this.

Yeah exactly. I'm a huge witcher fan, love the dark setting with adult themes and my favourite part was the morality of characters no choice in the game is clear cut. Nothing is black and white and characters aren't just bad or good.
I also love blade runner and cyberpunk aesthetic so for me it's going to be very hard for the game to be a let down. It would need to have none of the cdpr magic that existed in their previous games. -
December 1st we've entered the month of release. Not that I'm impatient or anything like that.
-
lol, whenever I see a new post notice in this thread I'm half expecting it to be news that it got delayed again.
9 more days
-
Well the advertising shill websites reviews won't be helpful, we all know what they'll say so looking forward to impressions here and other places you can get real users speaking from actual experience with average gaming equipment. I expect some form of day one patch the first week lol
-
ratchetnclank Notebook Deity
Think it's already been confirmed there will be a big day 1 patch as that's what they were working on in the latest delay?
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Still 9 days to go. There can still be a message posted by CDPR in that dreadful yellow
Although I am pretty confident it will come out this time for real, seeing how it's being advertised around the world.
If not, I have sooo many other games to play that it won't be a deal breaker...Prema, hfm, cucubits and 1 other person like this. -
I actually just marked vacation days this time, so I'm reasonably sure it's happening..
-
They said it would not be delayed again in the investor call and that the problems had been adequately addressed; that's about as sure as we're going to get without an actual ongoing download I'm thinking. Somewhere I read there is for sure an out of the box patch, cant recall where but definitely remember seeing it. Still cant preload the game on GOG. At least that's the rumor I heard, it isn't like I was just there 15 minutes ago checking or anything.
*so ashamed*

Did a little digging, nothing certain but such as it is, copy paste follows...
Global Cyberpunk 2077 release times
Time Zone Time Date
PST (US West Coast) 16:00 9 December
EST (US East Coast) 19:00 9 December
ART (Brazil/Argentina etc) 21:00 9 December
GMT (UK/Ireland) 00:00 10 December
CET (Poland, France, Germany, etc) 01:00 10 December
JST (Japan) 09:00 10 December
AEST (Australia) 10:00 10 December
NZDT (New Zealand) 13:00 10 December
If the above is correct, the west coast UK players are going to have a good run during the day and EU players will likely be pulling an all-nighter.
In related news, there is also an indication that a pre-load will be available for console owners, and we also have to assume PC players, from 7 December at 11PM. This is going on a pre-load date from the Playstation store. -
If they don't delay again, I've set my own release date for Dec 11-12. For sure I won't be first in line to buy it, at least until I hear some real world impressions/reviews after the date.
