The Nomad stuff works better off road, lets you bulldoze more stuff and handles about the same as on the road. My son in law tells me the one I picked up is one of the best in the game; 2nd fastest, among the top cars in braking all of which are even, among the least "loose" or in other words the minimum amount of fishtailing which again puts it in a group. So he says, I can only say it's much better than the taxi and the default car; those are the only cars I've had up to now. I've taken to using the Coyote out of town for the speed and ride Jackie's motorcycle in town because it's easier to go between cars on a bike. I don't do a lot of either though because I hate driving with a keyboard so I fast travel long distance, use a vehicle for moderate trips, go on foot if it's 500 or less. I thought available vehicles were largely cosmetic but now that I know they have some actual benefit I'll probably pick up a motorcycle. The car I purchased simply because it looked cool, very cyberpunky if you will. I'll probably use the same metric for the bike.

As kenny surmised I've been breaking most stuff down for crafting which outside of cutting down on your income has attached to it a fairly large speed bump: Finding recipes. I've tried farming shops and that kind of thing but finding the recipes you want is not so easy. I did find my revolver, Comrade's Hammer. Stupidly overpowered with exploding bullets that one shot everything including anyone standing next to the goon you just explodified. All good and why I decided to start a crafty build after I finding that recipe but being unable to use it with the skill set on the build I dumped. I was able to find that one again on this build after some searching but my cupboard is otherwise quite bare. I can make some stuff but none of it is particularly better than a legend you can pick up in the shops without all the effort. I know the recipes are out there for goodies with more awesome but it's a big game world and without cheating you have to hope to stumble across them. It may be that I've been unlucky or the recipes may actually be rare, however that may be until you get a solid base of recipes you can't leverage all that craftiness you so diligently worked to develop. Sigh...

The game completely changed for me, when I bought motorcycles. The cars look cool, but traversal on bikes is 10x more easy and so much fun. I literally stopped using fast travel and just drive everywhere now.

    Also, these graphics, good lord:

I've also never played an RPG where fashion has mattered more to me. I will skip an amazing piece of gear if it makes my v look like a dork. Case in point from last night:

Legendary with 4 armor mods slots, but look at it. Nah fam, can't do it.

Yeah, I found it in the location where that took place. I didn't find it actually until much later after I had finished that mission and was driving through there for a completely random reason. There's a good selection of vehicles you get for free I don't much see the point in wasting eddies on them while you're trying to buff up non-car related things. I've spent a decent amount of eddies on crafting components hah.

    Now I want that revolver.

Bike is the way to go in NC. I like how they handle in the game and they are really detailed. Currently traverse NC in Arch Nemesis. It's a preem machine!
I only spawn my car to put crap into stash. Apparently it's accessible from bikes too, but I can't seem to find the click-spot to access it on any of the bikes I own...

Speaking about stash, can anyone access stuff they put in apartment through the vehicle? In-game tutorial says that apartment and vehicle stashes are linked, but it is not my case...

I didn't even know there was a stash in the cars.. lol... I haven't been using the stash at all, I disassemble everything right after a fight I haven't really had a problem with carry weight lately.

I also disassemble everything I don’t need, except for iconic items, those I put into stash. Some of the iconic weapons are then displayed on the wall inside V’s apartment.

That I don’t know as I used it as a melee non-lethal weapon to deal with cyberpsychos and I had it with me at all times.

This reminds me, I should upgrade it.

Speaking of non-lethal I picked up the projectile shooters to fit into my run and gun build and ran into something unexpected: If you equip tranquilizer ammo it does a non lethal one shot to anything and everything I've encountered since I tried it out. It's hard to believe they expected that result so I'm wondering where they will take it as it's about as broken as you can get; a cyberpsycho, one shot and down, for example. I just got it yesterday so I haven't run into a boss battle where you get the standing health bar outside of a cyberpsycho so I'm not sure it works on all bosses. About that pistol...

    Explodifacation...

I 've been going for the Trinity look. I had some black pants that looked better but only two mod slots, these have three which ruins the look so I'm on the hunt for a lengendary black pants recipe among many other recipes.

Trinity look would be a black netrunner suit, though, wouldn’t it?

Since pimping out my haxor skillz I’ve been using System Reset quickhack. It also neutralises even enemy with boss health bars.

I gotta get back to that one, this is the guns blazing build. As to Trinity, I'm still a long ways off, it was closer to the look when I had on the black pants if you recall when she was wearing the 3/4 jacket. It's an ongoing project. I do have a 4 slot corpo jacket but you cant see the shirt with that one. I got's to get my inner shirt going on too! lol

I put a couple of the iconics in my stash in the apartment thinking that, but I never saw anything. Maybe I should just dump them all there, I've been carrying them all around.

Huh... I haven't had that problem yet, maybe my pistol doesn't do quite enough damage per shot to kill them outright. There's also the non-lethal mod you can attach to a weapon and break it out when needed. I guess that's the tranq mod? I'm trying to get my crafting up to get the perk where I can swap out mods without losing the installed one and toss it in there when I need it.

Yep, good one to have and not just for the obvious reason; you can craft a cheap epic jacket (for instance) and then salvage it getting whatever mods it spawned with in the process. I acquired most of my legendary mods that way; faster by a big margin than farming the shops. You'll also want the one that offers to give you a chance to spawn another of the thing your crafting. I first did this for the perk at face value but then I realized in use that there is a chance to spawn any level of the same item with the odds going down with each level of the item. I got my armadillos after I found the base recipe and then spawned a bunch of them to cull out the rares. Still haven't spawned an epic yet, so many crafts and not enough materials!

Edit... I forgot, the cyberpsychos seem to stay alive with ordinary weapons and you get credit for the live capture. With my revolver it kills them dead which is why I got the tranq ammo for my rocket launcher, to get the live capture. I've been carrying a non lethal weapon with me for those times when I needed it. Now that I've seen how the tranq ammo works I'll be using that from now on. Still goes boom with AOE but instead of killing the target(s) get tranqed.

I hit Crafting 18 and unlocked the Iconic and Legendary recipes. The legendary DR12 Quasar is freaking broken.

Also, here's a weapon crafting tip people might not know: you can double click on weapons crafts to reroll their damage specs. Each recipe has 2 or 3 damage profiles, and one of them is WAY higher than the others. The only weapons this doesn't apply to are the Achilles and I believe the Nekomata.

What level are you? You won't craft more than 2 or 3 Epic Armadillos per 100 below Level 30+. Also you won't craft them at all if you haven't unlocked Grease Monkey.

There are some legendary corpo black pants you can find for free in the wild. They have pinstripes on them though, don't know if they'd match your look.

Those are the ones I found, they're two hole pants. I think I'm at 29 more or less. I've been trying to craft the armadillos since I found the recipe, a few dozen tries here and there since maybe level 20 or in that ball park. I built this toon specifically to craft so I went all in on that first and it's fully leveled both the skill and crafting itself. I figured out I could get a bazillion sodas from the vending machines and convert them into components and then sell them for money; I can make 40, 50k in about 15 minutes while doing that. In the process I would go ahead and just break down the other random sodas and other beverages in my inventory while I was at it. That gives experience but not much but I thought I'd try and do a hole bunch and see what happens. It gives you a big shot of experience. I then started doing that to get my crafting up and on one go around I accidentally crafted a single instead of moving the slider over. That would be where I discovered a major bug: If you salvage only one you still get the experience for the whole stack. Once I knew that I got a stack of sodas that was a bit over a thousand and just salvaged one, closed the inventory, opened it up again and salvaged another, and so on. About 20 minutes later I'd gone from something like level 4 to 18 and I was able to get the perk into legendary crafting. The character as a whole was around level 20 at that time.

I didn't know that crafts were tied to my level the same as drops are, thanks for that. I'd started to think that doing the armadillos wasn't going to work to get the epics but I guess I'm just a little ahead of the game because of how I went about it.

Haven’t tried it yet. Like I’ve already said, I carry it with me.

And I don’t think it goes on display in V’s apartment, which is a real shame. You can actually see which weapons go there by their outlines.

Lol ok, I haven't put anything in the storage. For me there are two kinds of items, better, and those that got salvaged. It would have been pretty darn funny if all your trophies went up on the wall.

Oh for my fellow craftsmen like @krabman I forgot to mention, make sure you have the Instant Crafting/Disassembly ini tweak implemented. Has been maybe the best QOL improvement for me, as you can just hammer the Craft button instead of waiting for the bar to fill each time.

Most of the cyberpsychos I head shot one-shotted them.. sometimes doing well above 10's thousands of damage and they never died... there were only a couple I had to duke it out a little with.. I'm slowly gaining tech skills to get all the crafting perks. I'm not going to be able to get it to 20 since I'm lvl 47 and only 15 tech. I will be able to get to 18 so I can craft legendaries at least.

I am really digging Cold Blood, I've been jamming that out for a while and it's crazy fun some of the stuff you can get from that.

FYI, if your crafting base armadillos trying to pick up an epic on the freebie I can confirm it works. You gotta want it though; I went 200 or more crafts for each one which turned into something like an hour of clicking to get enough for my gear. I figured out that you actually get more mats from breaking them down than you use making them so as long as you have enough mats in your inventory to make a few hundred you can just make and salvage until you get where you need to go. Picking up recipes is still glacial, haven't decided if it's worth the investment to go into crafting. Ultimately it will probably depend on finding enough cool recipes to feel like the effort paid. Right now I've found exactly one cool recipe so not feeling the love.

Lol yeah.. I've been crafting like 5-10 at a time to get some high level ones.. once I get the perk to swap out without losing them I'll start paying attention to the inventory after crafting.. it's not a big deal though can just dissasemble them to get a the higher level components back, especially since it only takes uncommons to build it.

I finished. Had a lot of fun, easily got my money back and then some. And then some more. Still, outside of the bugs it's a little sad to see so many opportunities missed. Which brings me to the logical question: At what point do we say spoilers are ok on the thread so long as they're marked? We eventually have to move into discussion of them game as a whole, mods, that kind of thing.

Whoa! I've been away for a couple weeks and all hell broke loose around here, lol. From bugs to exploits and crafting I see. I take it crafting is more important than I would've thought. I'm pretty low level so I'll keep this in mind, can't wait to jump back in. I even missed two patches.

It was good going almost completely offline for a while but I did find myself daydreaming about Cyberpunk and wondering if Judy misses me :)))

Ok, a dev spills a lot of beans in this video. There are some spoilers so be aware of that. Extremely interesting discussion about exactly how much was cut to make time constraints; as an example over 50k lines of dialogue met their demise. This is just one disgruntled dev so salt should be literally sprinkled about but I get the feeling there is some truth in there.

No point in creating a separate thread for 5 people who play this game :D
    Spoiler will do just fine.

Anyway, I haven't completed the game yet, but that Peralez quest arc. Oh boy, some good stuff.
A bit sad it was so inconclusive, but really liked doing investigative work. One of the best quest arc so far, besides Del, of course :D
And of course there are speculations it might continue in DLC.

We'll see. CDPR has a track record of releasing Enhanced Editions, maybe they will do the same for CP2077. Honestly don't really need anything major - fix the damn AI, glitches and add some QOL stuff. This game deserves at least that, considering how much care and effort was put in other areas.

Told Jeff the truth - his waifu blocked me and he started to freak out and then vanished
    Noice, lol

Man, Takemura is a pretty nice guy once you get to know him a bit.

Agreed with all, I really liked the game once I got over the hump of the glitchiness right at release.

I'm at 100 hours and then some which speaks for my opinion. I think when everyone gets further along we can discuss the missed opportunities I was referring to in my post above. No game is going to be the second coming as some had this game pegged for but it could have been one of the greats, I mean one of those few which stands out above all others. It will be interesting to see where they take it in the future with the expansions and if they will restore all the lost material that they culled out. For the time being I abandoned my net runner type build and I've started another one that will go all in on both sides of the intelligence and cool skills with enough thrown into crafting that I can create legendary cyberware thingies. The weapon I plan to use lays on the main quest line so that's covered. This build will clear the board...

It's always easiest to armchair QB these things after the fact. I'm going to leave my criticism aside from bugs on the shelf. These things are a monumental effort and every single one of them has things they had to cut in order to create a shipping product. Change any one of these systems and it becomes a cascade of problems that you can spend another 2 years unwinding to add some new feature. Some of these aspects they probably deserve criticism for, but unless you're actually on the team building the product or have been through the ringer to bring a game to the masses it's just going to fall flat for me.

I own my own company and I've been through many "ringers" bringing projects to fruition; some of them took years. Even now I've been in quarantine for nearly 10 days as the contract has been signed on the next job which starts this Saturday with a flight overseas. Projects are projects are projects. When I say ringer I'm not talking about putting in some long hours hoping for a bonus on a job that took a building full of people a few years; that's grinding and grinding is nothing. Anyone and any company can grind a project out. I'm talking about projects where engineering often had no definitive answers and things had to be done in the moment with millions spent and every chip on the line including my own home when I was young. That's a ringer.

When you're done with the game we'll discuss again; at that point and after you've read about what was left out and why I suspect you're going to understand what I'm having a hard time putting into words in regards to lost opportunities. This is why I wanted to discuss it; perspective is everything and you may have it right: It could be that I'm being overly critical. I don't think so though; I think when you play it through to the end and see what was left out, why it was left out, and consider what might have been you'll be just a little when contemplating what might have been. Or not. lol As I said, it deserves discussion. I know I'm a mean old bastid so I don't necessarily trust my own judgement. o_O

Man, Takemura is legit. Forget Judy's eyes or Panam's ass, Takemura's text messages is where it's at :D
I left his quests hanging there while I was clearing up the gigs and other side missions, and now really enjoying Takemura's company.
This game has some really nice quests. I'm not disappointed.

To be clear; I'm not disappointed, I liked the crap out of the game. I abandoned two characters at level 30ish not because I wasn't enjoying them but rather wanted to try a new idea which I thought would be even more fun. Logging in over a hundred hours and still climbing tells you everything you need to know; I dig the game. In fact if you throw out the bugs and controversy and rate the game in a vacuum I'm two thumbs up. I'd go there anyways with the caveat of having to admit that the bugs are something I had to set aside and they did dilute the experience al little bit.

Liking the game, or not, isn't what I'm talking about, it's another factor that's unique to this game in it's scope and how they got there: Failed promise. Of course you don't always get to do what you want with a project especially when the end is a sometimes difficult to pin down "good enough" that wont be defined until you get there. I wasn't referring to systems being cut; it was a bummer when they cut out wall walking for example but I get it, sometimes you want it but can't make it work. It's not random missing content either, the game has plenty of content as is, more would be more but not necessarily better. They also did a good job of masking the portions that were cut out in most cases. There are a few things that you notice like having a lot of water around that you can go into and support for staying down there a long time and yet you hardly go in. It's a little strange but you seldom notice it except on the odd occasion like when you're culling your goods and you see a buff that will allow you to stay down for 1800 seconds; obviously at one point in development you needed that but in the delivered product you don't. The game succeeded at being a game and a good one. No, the difference here is that they actually had it; the game they wanted to make and could have made was there and mostly complete with no major road blocks to overcome. It wouldn't have been the second coming some hoped for but would have been a defining leap forward, a benchmark. They had the money, the resources, and taking that time would have increased profits. It was all there and oh so close.

What is more interesting when you consider the future is that you don't usually see huge chunks of nearly complete game slashed that might yet be restored over time as part of the original game. Or not. You get back some good will by pumping it out as free DLC but I'm doubtful the board would be unhappy with content on the shelf that can be pumped out later as paid DLC or expansions which they were already planning on. However it may be trust me on this gents (and any ladies that may or may not be present), the amount of largely complete content cut with cyberpunk and is in no way ordinary in the business. You have to finish the game before you read about though because there are necessarily spoilers. I was left simply thinking: Wow, the making of the game has a more interesting plot than the game itself.

To go back to the playing of the game I've had a quest to get a motorcycle that doesn't give you map guidance, it's a treasure hunt so to speak. I ran into it first on my second character and didn't complete it there, also didn't on the last one. I've started it again and this time I'm prepared to go for hours instead of looking around a little and then deciding there is too much to do and I'll get back to it. Going to be bummed if it turns out it's a dog.

Had a very fun knuckle fight with Ozob.
Not sure if spoiler but anyway
I have an implant which electrocutes the nearby enemy once my health drops below certain point, and guess what, implant discharged and it detonated the grenade on Ozob's face, which left him headless and made me win the fight lol

I found it. This playthrough I only had to actually find the location of the bike, I had made it that far in previous playthroughs. I'm not going to give it up because it was genuinely satisfying to finally find that sucker after something like 3ish hours of hunting total. Not sure how it ranks with all the motorcycles as I've only had a few but it is the best I've encountered to this point; it gets a Doug Score of 9 out of 10 possibly due to lack of competition. With my toon I'm going for the corporate look this time but as usual finding just the right stuff isn't easy. I found a jacket and pants that were labeled "corporate" on previous tunes and they matched exactly. I'm thinking there is a whole set out there somewhere but I'm not sure on it. I also previously found a legendary skirt that was labeled as "fixer" armor and I was wondering if there might be a set of that? The skirt looked good, I'd rock that look if it's there to be had. Anyhow the bike, sorry about the pictures, I don't have a good program for reducing photos down to 2 megs and a lot of quality was lost.
