Enhanced editions are about a sure thing across the board, that is not the subject of the post I responded to or what the link he posted references: Legacy consoles are running in a backwards compatibility mode and are to be transitioned to a ground up build that can in utilize most of the goodies now available and already on the new consoles and PC. That is the transition they are talking about.

Yay, found yet another side quest! At this point feels like I'm running a car on fumes
Also beat Caesar. Wasn't hard fight this time. Maybe it was that Animals Knuckles mod for Gorilla Arms or me double jumping instead or dodging helped the things. Anyway, felt sorry for the gonk, so left him the cash. His car was all I need. It's a pretty sweet ride too.
Now to beat that Animals lady and I'm off to finals! -
That's what I Was saying... CURRENT gen consoles are getting upgrade soon this year.. Current = PS5/SeriesXJRE84 likes this.
-
Yeah, it's confusing because they use both current, and next gen for the latest and greatest but also current and legacy for the previous gen while talking about the upcoming updates. The way I read it across multiple reporting sites is that the current consoles have most assets in just as we do, it does not sound like there will be "new stuff" for them so much as better working stuff whereas the previous gen will, if they can be believed, be getting some of the goodies already in on PC and on the new consoles that was pulled to try and get performance up.
About updating graphics on the PC I've read nothing specific but I'm doubtful it's high on the list with so much other work to be done that I'd think is more important. You've got all the console issues but even without them the PC version has all the bugs, massive balance issues, AI problems, game breaking exploits, etc. Seems to me like that stuff would be on the front burner for PC? -
PS5 and XSX (now considered current-gen) are literally just running the PS4 Pro/X1X versions at higher/smoother framerates. They are running the game at low/medium settings basically.
The update is an unknown but is likely to bring parity with PC's high/ultra settings and some optional level of ray tracing.
The PS4/X1 aren't going to get better assets, they are too weak for it, they just need massive optimization and bug fixing.seanwee likes this. -

Gotta say, Rhino is a real champ. Just look at her, even after defeat she's a happy camper
So off to final fight I go. Also one thing I didn't use but helped out a bit were those stamina and health boosters. I have a bunch of them in my inventory, but never used them, and now finally used them for fights and they sure come in handy.hfm likes this. -

I know I'm waaay too late to the party but on my re-do character I finally reached Judy's mission. Much better outcome this time. After seeing all her tats, I'm ready to continue enjoying the game.
I swear she messed with my head... up to here, when I was supposed to wait for her to call for the mission to progress, I would just park close to her place and skip time, lol. Not proud

You're not the first; at least that's what I heard...

LOL... I'm picturing at some point when she is with my character that your character pulls up and does a Love Actually cards and caroling scene.

This is getting ridiculous, I've found another quest
Well, remember to be more precise. Completely forgot there was some corpo guy being harassed at El Coyote Cojo and at the time I couldn't beat the punks. Since I got Gorilla Arms now it was piece of cake. Pepe happy with my help decided to give me a side job. Noice!
I should probably read some guides or something, see if there's anything else I've missed. -
Maybe its me, but this sound more like "politician/businessmen" statement after major messing up, than honest dev.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 13, 2021 -

In this situation they can't win. They kept silent for a bit, people started complaining why CDPR doesn't say anything. CDPR now released a video - "it's a PR move you guys."
But I hope they will followup their words with actions. Not keeping any huge expectations (I never do), but it would be nice to see further improvements to the game. -
Just title of video says everything: "Our Commitment to Quality", because of their commitment, I'm quick-saving like crazy in game (so I don't lose much progress).
I'm not angry-just disappointed... -

You experiencing a lot of crashes?
For me this game has been incredibly stable in this regard - 171 hours with only a single crash. And I've had like 6 hour sessions in this bad boy. -
No, game didn't crash once, but I've to restart few times (from earlier save/checkpoint) because bugs/glitches .
killkenny1 likes this. -
I was about to say I haven't had too many random crashes but both yesterday and today got flatlined suddenly while around Panam's camp. Not doing anything, random moments. I usually take these as signs that I've played enough for the day and do something else
-
No crashes, I did have a couple broken quests where I had to go back to an earlier save. Didn't really bother me much because the game makes a lot of auto saves and the quests are relatively short. When they're long the normally broke down into segments and the game saves between them so even if I forgot to do it myself there is usually a save right where I need it.
On another subject as I said previously I'm on my clear play-through and I've got more than enough time in to call BS on some of the complaints of this game: A number of outlets claimed the game lacked content. Many claimed no bar was raised. Some said the game played the same no matter what skills you took. I disagree. I call BS. Anyone who did all the quests put a lot of time into it, a LOT of time. There are literally hundreds; I was counting completed quests but got annoyed when I hit 100 and could see scrolling up and down I still wasn't quite half way through and there are a number of quests out there in the game world I haven't hit yet. Played the same is also BS; my stealth build played nothing at all like my guns blazing build which was nothing like my netrunner build. More builds remain. Didn't raise the bar? Sorry but these graphics have not been equaled by any game I've run into. The sound is great; ambient noises, gunfire, the lamentations of the women. Even the small stuff: No game has done so well at lip syncing and capturing emotional moods. When Panam is POed you don't need to read the dialogue, you can see it on here face, when she goes on a diatribe her lip syncing matches the words. It's not perfect but no game has come closer. When an NPC pulls something out of it's pocket it appears like the animation must have been motion captured, very realistic. Not perfect but no game I've played can equal the smoothness and realistic motion. I can go on here but you get the idea; I really feel like there is some feces being dropping on this game that is undeserved. -
I'm dumb, I know why it keeps crashing for me. I was playing with the settings and left RTX enabled. Most likely it doesn't like something about my clock settings... but for now I'm not willing to tweak those.
With RTX off I had no crashes at all, zero, none.hfm likes this. -
I played it with RTX off, it was still a beautiful game. I'll use RTX on my second playthrough later in the year, maybe have better hardware by then.
I had RTX on early in the beginning but turned it off at some point.cucubits likes this. -
I agree as well. No denying there were some inexcusable problems before the rounds of hotfixes, and some still remain, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed the playthrough. Since I only did one ending I'm going to have a good time I think doing a completely different build and life path next time. Looking at Galaxy where I can see my playtime of nearly all my owned games across platforms (1055 of them..) Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in the #7 spot on that list behind some obvious games that would end up above it. Well obvious games in my list since I do not play any multiplayer focused games like Fortnite, the CODs.. etc..
I'm sure if I was using digital storefronts at the time of a lot of older classic games there would be some on here like Morrowind, Oblivion, the Baldur's Gates (I own all the EE"s direct from Beamdog so those aren't there.. for the umpteenth replays I did for that..)
EDIT: full disclosure I did have CP2077 sittle idle for hours at a time while I did something else.. so.. it's not 100% legit but it can't be too far off...Last edited: Jan 14, 2021Charles P. Jefferies and cucubits like this. -
Did anyone else have scan mode suddenly stop working. Now when I press tab it sort of highlights points of interest in yellow but doesn't open the usual interface and no options appear. Only noticed during a mission when I am supposed to scan something and it won't work. Did I mess it up somehow or it's a bug?
-
Every time something like that glitched I would just quick save and reload. I forgot what the most prevalent reason I had for that was but I had to do it quite a few times.cucubits and killkenny1 like this.

Yup, don’t even have to revert to an older save. Quicksaving and loading on the spot often fixes most problems.cucubits likes this. -
Seems like we've all had a similar experience in that regard. I've had music get stuck on one particular track, the loot pop-up that wont go away, that sort of thing, a quick save and load seems to do the trick in most cases. I did have one quest get broken where I had to go back a few saves and start the works over again but normally a quit and reload seems to get the train back on the track.

I just completed it, put in about 100hrs and I think I've done everything or at least everything i wanted to. A few NCPD things remain on the map but I'm not too fussed about that.
Got the "good" ending as well which was nice. Really enjoyed the game.cucubits and Charles P. Jefferies like this. -

Just barely a month after release, and they're already giving a 50% discount.
Cyberpunk 2077 GOG version is nearly 50% off | GamesRadar+
Same price for Xbox One and PS4 at Best Buy. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Thought it was on sale on GOG...
This is from a keystore. Those are a bit different. Games are always cheaper there. A brand new 60 Euro game usually (not always) goes for around 40 or so.
Right now CDkeys sells CP2077 for 28 Euros, G2A... well who knows for how much that cancerous place sells it...
Still, just a month is a bit quick for a -50%, but it's nothing unheard of. IIRC Breakpoints dropped drastically after release, Square Enix stuff usually drops fast in price - these are just few examples on top of my head. -
I think Epic store tends to do discounts on newer games to try to get people over to their client. Just look at all the free games they've given out over the last year or so, I have so many and very few have I ever even started up once. I will gladly pay full price for much longer just to get a game DRM free and support GoG which is the only place I actually care about.

EGS is a bit different. Their distribution cut is less from the get go, so even if they put game on sale, developer/publisher still get a pretty good chunk compered to full priced game on Steam.
But new games have been going on sale sooner than they used to in the past. I remember it was used to be at least half a year until you get a discount on a new game. Nowadays it’s quite common to see a game on a discount a month or two after release. I think Uplay was selling AC Valhalla for 38 or so Euros just recently (which made me very salty
).
As for giveaways, I still haven’t taken any of the games, although plenty of my co-workers have and are very happy about it. No, it’s not because of “Steam good, EGS bad”, but because I actually own most of the games I have interest. Maybe there were like one or two games they’ve given for free I had interest in, but making another account and separating my library even more was not worth it.
Apologise for a bit off-topic. -
I took all the ones I remembered to log in for, there's some pretty good stuff I've gotten.
-
I think I understand where you're coming from: You're sad that people buying in on that sale could have been playing for more than a month if only they'd paid a few lattes more back at the release. Gotta agree, it really is sad that some people will only now find out how much fun they could have been having all along; if only...

I did it! I finally did it! I beat Razor!
Didn't exactly fight him by the rules, but then again, it wasn't exactly a fair fight.
Dropped a machete on the ring before fight and my shock implant stun locked him so before he could make any movement I just slices and diced him.
Now just cruising around the city in hopes I could find any missed side quests. Maybe I will try to level up my quickhacking to level 20, I dunno.

I did the same thing except i dropped a katana. It's the only way you can block him, pretty sure you aren't supposed to be able to win the fight properly. Most i ever got him down to playing fairly was 40% health but his health regened for some reason. It was at the point i decided to cheat

This reminded me of the Sasquatch fight... pretty sure everyone is past that but I'll put the spoiler tags... anyway:
on my first playthrough I got there way too early and she was beating the crap out of me with her stupid hammer. I kept trying to sneak close behind her to get at least a good first shot and then I noticed she had the hammer on the floor. I managed to pick it up before she did and the fight was way easier. Of course it took me quite a while to figure out I had to break her thing on the back first
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Sasquatch fight was way easier IMO. You were allowed to use weapons, she was easily dodgeable and had an obvious weak point. And yes, I also did the same thing to her as you
Razor also has a weak point, but the dude is hard to fight due to his cheat like attacks and massive inflicted damage points.
At first I used Sir John Phallustiff, but then people suggested to use sharp melee weapons as it inflicts bleeding effect.
And as Schwarzenegger taught us - if it bleeds, we can kill it.cucubits likes this. -
I got past it by not doing it, never really liked fighting games going all the way back to Punch-out. With Sasquatch on this go round I was already something like level 30 when I got there and a couple shots from Widowmaker did the trick.
I've figured out now that the clothing shops are bugged for legendary recipes. They'll only produce the first time you go in. This has me not entering one without a save so I can check what's in there. Right now my toon is at 46 and I can get 3,4, occasionally 5, legendary recipes. I'm going to wait all the way until 50 and then roll each shop to maximize the take from what are all virgins right now.JRE84 likes this. -
I beat everyone pretty easily with 8 Body once I bought gorilla arms except Razor. I did just watch a YT video of someone beating him.. seems there's a strategy you can use that looks easy if you're good with timing.

Didn't really have much left to buy in terms of chrome, weapons, or armor so I decided to buy all the cars having reached close to 2 mill on eddies. Turns out I'm going to need more to get them all and as to the cars themselves unless something catches me by surprise the 911 and coyote are still going to be my favorites.. A bit early yet but most of the cars have issues, slow, cant stop, cant turn, too big, prone to fishtailing, etc. Of those that don't suffer from one or more of those I get a cookie cutter sense from them and they seem largely similar. Still have more than a few to buy though so things may change. On the motorcycle side of the coin I've been favoring a one in particular; don't remember it's name but it has saddlebags and is slow but great at stopping and turning. It's become my go to heavy traffic ride, the coyote is hands down the best performer out in the desert, and I occasionally jump in the 911 because, well, 911.
-
For me 30-45 is fine for RTS games, 60-75 is the minimum in 3rd person games and 90+ is the goal for first person games.
-
Yeah.. that's why I just bailed on grinding eddies to do that. There wasn't enough difference between them to justify it and I just don't care enough to tick off some meaningless achievement. I'll play something else until some more content and patches later this year.
