Cyberpunk 2077 will use Nvidia's RTX features. If you want to experience it at max visual quality - you probably should get more powerful GPU in new laptop, at least 2060 or so. 1070 can show those features but it will probably be very slow. Especially when going outside and seeing a lot of people on the streets like the video of demo gameplay has shown.

Yes, Nvidia probably paid a lot of money for that to be in game. There are some early screenshots but of course screenshots never give good impression of how the actual game will look like:

There is much more interesting girl in one of those, just zoom in on her poster to see some interesting body augmentations

Speaking of this, I am glad that CDPR is brave enough to bring all the adult themes into their games, despite the constant criticism. -
I'll just have to survive with my crappy 1080 and leave the gratuitous ray tracing to you gents.

Even if we had the 2080 we'd want whatever comes next instead. Lol

Another video attempting to assemble and make sense of tidbits of information that have been dribbling out over time. Interesting to fans but probably lacks meat for those with a more casual interest.
-
I am really hoping Nvidia has Ampere ready by the time CP2077 drops. With this being a showcase for ray tracing we need more power.
I want to be playing day one with an RTX 3080. -

Cyberpunk 2077 is being optimized for current hardware, I'm sure it will run fine at max settings on current RTX cards ;-)
I remember playing Witcher 3 when it came out, it played well on 980 card with all settings maxed. -
I don't really care too much about the graphics, I'm sure they'll be fine. I really care more about if it's actually a good game end to end and the art direction is good.

I do not remember which FPS I had - Witcher 3 didn't even have benchmark. All I remember is I had EVGA 980 SC card (according to Newegg I got it on 3/23/15) and when I ran the Witcher 3 - game played fine with no noticeable slow-downs. Of course, there were many bugs which caused issues with some gameplay or game crashes but this is normal for any game ;-)

I don't remember what settings I used for the Witcher now but do recall I was able to get good performance with decent visuals at 1440P with my 1080. I suppose both "decent" and "good performance" are in the eyes of the beholder but I'm not worried about this game. I'm very confident I can get it to run at 1080 smoothly with satisfactory frame rate unless something is hosed in the game itself. Who knows, I found that the Witcher 3 looked better at 1440 with a few more things turned down than it did at 1080 with a few more things turned up. I suspect some of that is the native 2k display.

well i'm hyped for the game and i've seen little videos as possible to avoid spoilers! Love to start a game fresh like i did for GTA V for PC
-
Doesn't really matter why someone doesn't want to know anything, whether a legit spoiler or not, that one is in the eye of the beholder. Myself, I cant wait for this game and I'll take an inadvertent spoiler or two to get a little bit of a peek at the goods.

Holy hell, the amount of people complaining lately about the absence of TPP is ridiculous.
I mean, yeah, it can be a legitimate concern, if it wasn't for complains mostly made by this kind of people:
-
The amount of people wanting to play this game to watch animated polygons pretend to get it on is likewise ridiculous. Really, most of the nit-picky whining in general is just ridiculous, especially this early on. The story and gameplay are amazing-looking enough, even if it isn't literally the perfect game. But people always need to find something to complain about.
But I get it. I like platforming games, and I haven't seen a single Mario-themed level in this game. So disappointing. /shfm and killkenny1 like this. -
I personally welcome first person and I say that as a pathetic old man that stereotype has being highly resistant to change. Kids gotta learn to live a little, try new things, get out of their rut!

You would think that story/lore/characters/world/gameplay are the main selling points of the game, but no, apparently it's TPP...
CDPR should just scrap all those things and just release an empty open world with nothing interesting to do, but with TPP. Because this is what makes the game great.hfm, JRE84, krabman and 1 other person like this. -

Third person view can greatly enhance the visual impact of the scenes, same way it does in movies. If you do not care about it - does not mean that many other people also won't care or that developers should only listen to one group instead of providing an option for both ;-)

Artistic decision excuse only works for movies. In games you can allow for both choices, this is what the games are all about - letting players choose whatever they prefer. Unless this is a technical limitation, in which case they would have said that. I mean, they are already letting your character to be any gender or race, why not simply add some extra choice of having different character view?
Anyway, there will most likely be a mod for enabling this after the game will be released. -
Haven't looked forward to a game this much in years. May it live up to the hype!

If they don't delay it, it's hard to believe it's only ~4 months away, seems like yesterday they had that reveal trailer back in 2013

A sign of old age my friend.
However that may be right now they are in crunch in a big way. I would be dead if I had to pronounce some of those names but one of their chief honcho's was stating such a few days ago and in a way I've heard developers use when a game is going to push. A lot of nuance gets lost in translation so it could be I was reading something into it that wasn't there. *shrugs* If they are on time we are 134 days away. At a guess... lol

Either way, I have no problem with the delay. A bit disappointed that I won't be able to play it in three months (oh man, it looked so close!), but oh well, I rather get a finished game than a half baked turd. Luckily I have plenty of other games to play in the mean time.
