Lethal Lottery Notebook Betrayer
you will get NO where doing that. i like variety in my games, not really difficulty. -
so dont play it if you dont like it
-
And Lottery.. go read the reviews on Ninja Gainden 2 i quote form cheatcc.com And Ign.com "the Combos Get very repetitive " while in DMC4 you can do a hell of combos, revving the sword with Nero, or Styles with Dante, also you have the Devil trigger in both, You will not get past the second level of the game if you mashes the button "x" Unless you would like to see your rank as "D" ROFL.
and your score online to be the lowest in the Universe, go compare Ninja Gaiden 2's so Called "Combos" with either DMC3 or DMC4 insane combos that only a select few of people could achieve, believe me check Youtube for those combos and your Jaw will drop.
and talking about Variety.. pfft Dante has 4 different weapons and 4 different Styles + the Dark slayer style, that makes up to 16 ways to kill the enemy, thats without combining them together..
and thats without counting Pandora's Box which already has 3-4 weapons itself. -
Moving away from the personal preference issue...
I can't seem to pull off the multiple air spin combo (Roulette?) or the charging air dash slash or the shuffle move. Isthere a trick to the timing on these moves? -
They're probably moves that you buy later on. There's also some other attack strings missing.
-
Actually I think I fluked the charging air slash once but wasn't sure about the timing. The other moves should be available since the console version unlocks these for Nero at the start. Anyone pulled off the attacks I mentioned?
Jin07: Which attack strings are you referring to? -
Red Queen Combo B
Roulette Spin
Lvl 2-3 Charge shots
Lvl 2-3 EX moves
Calibur
Shuffle
Also missing some DB moves.
I don't think he has his kick moves either, but I haven't tried to do them. -
That tallies with what I've seen, I guess I mistook an air slash for Calibur. At least the moves Nero has for the demo are more than enough to finish the Frosts and Berial off.

Devil May Cry 4 comes out tomorrow!
-
Patiently waiting.
-
by my time, its was 5 in the morning when you posted. I think you've got some more waiting to do. lol.
-
Much more Waiting i guess. Games in here arrive weekly only. so the next refresh should come tomorrow by default.

I really want to get Devil May Cry 4, it should be the perfect game to help sweeten the wait for the iPhone 3G
! Devil May Cry 3 was one of the best games ever made.
-
unfortunately I couldn't say the same thing about the iphone.
-
DMC3 was awesome, anyways, i heard a rumor that Vergil is gonna be whats DMC5 about. dunno
-
I could see that considering the role Vergil has in DMC4.
-
ya, he is a trouble maker
not gonna spoil it for the guys here xD
-
im waiting for it to come out on direct to drive.hopefully today
-
-
Rofl.. Yap, i was wondering.. will they have online scores like they had on the PS3 and X360? that would own.
-
It's a made-for-PC console port, it would be a shame if everything wasn't carried over with extras thrown in to reward the keen PC consumer.
-
this is the best Port so far IMO. Performance+eyecandy
-
Waiting for the reader review to see if it's worth my while buying this when I go home. Never really bought a console port for the PC before so I'm giving this careful consideration.
-
Was the previous version, Devil May Cry 3, NOT a console port, then ?
-
it was a console port. and it was the worst. it gave my SLI 7950gtx 20 fps. wanna know why? BEcause it was by ubisoft, but not this time, Capcom made this for PC. the PC version was the main one not the Consoles. so with this one, i'm getting 80+ FPS maxed out in all situations. its really way better than the last DMC3 PC port.
-
Yeah...the DMC3 port was awful and complete junk.

I can program rumble into commands for the controller but you cant get feedback from the game to trigger it as there is no actual controller driver.
Good to hear I have a reason to bust out the wiimote and cook up a new glovepie script. I prefer it to the 360 controller when possible. My desktop uses x64 tho so no ppjoy and thus will have to use the 360 controller. -

Yeah, the game was really improved from the console version. Some of the small DX10 effects, like the improved motion blur, make a big difference. The game looks great during regular gameplay, but during real-time cinematics the game is amazing.
-
That 2nd last screenshot, who is that supposed to be? I don't remember the character at all.
-
lol he posted something else i guess

about 150fps average maxed out
1920x1080
8x MSAA
All Settings Super High
Rank S
Took a picture but it was just black when I pasted it into an image editor.
Then I went to fraps it and my fps went from 200 to 30 recording with FRAPS! So I have to run it again and use fraps for the screen shot probably. -
whats your rig Specs? and was it on DX9 or DX10? if it was even on DX9, i think you have a desktop and a card better than the 8800GTX, since benchmarks on some sites shown lower Frames on a 8800GTX.
-
ViciousXUSMC Master Viking NBR Reviewer
DX9 & DX10 both over 150fps average I think. DX10 is definitly slower in some areas and I cant notice much if anything different.
The only things I "think" I saw were world reflections in puddles of water & light shafts thru tree's on DX10 that were not in DX9 but I only ran it one time for each.
Rig 4850 crossfire & q6600 @ 3.6ghz -
Rig 4850 crossfire & q6600 @ 3.6ghz.. that explains much, you had my heart stop. since my benchmark is
i think i can squeeze up a lil bit more though. anywayz, how did you sum up an average FPS out of the 4? i benchmarked on the demo Version, does the full tell you?
-
Hey a quick question for you:
Does it really matter if you consistently get above the screen refresh rate in FPS (then use vert. sync)? I always thought not, but maybe there is some benefit I overlooked. -
there is no Benefit, i mean 0,000000 benefit from it, it just shows you how powerful is your system , otherwise it doesnt improve gameplay or Image, and on some sentences, it makes image worse, and need the use of VSync
-
ViciousXUSMC Master Viking NBR Reviewer
I turned off vsync for the benchmark, but for the game I would have it on for sure. I always use vsync to prevent tearing, and also it can help your video card run cooler if its not worring about producing frames you cant even see.
-
Yap. very true, btw thats the demo you benchmarked or the full game?

Ok got screen shots now.
Here is my system with DX9
Settings
Results DX9
Results DX10
Edit: DX9 & 10 comparison posted -
this game is known to perform way better on ATI than Nvidia, i just was reading a thread about it, because it rely on the shader Processors, the more you have, the more FPS you get, so basicly, you are killing the 8800GTX on SLI with 40FPS on scenes 1,3 and even like 50FPS on some scenes under DX10 mode
and now boys and girls... dont we all wish all games perform as great as DMC4? huh?
EDIT: btw ViciousXUSMC, there is a config file for the game, check it out, since you can Only modify HDR to high thorough it, "its medium by default even if you have everything on superhigh"
EDIT2: AHH! found it.. check near the bottom

8800GTX getting a "B" on your same resolution but with 4xaa on DX10, getting an A with DX9 -

I just overclocked my cards higher too
Once I get some fans I can probably get another 15fps out of them.

Got the full version demo today
anyways wanna say great looking game and that vibrate works with the 360 wired controller. I only had time to play the first stage thru but this is by far so much better looking than the last one I played DMC2 infact I cant belive the series came so far in terms of looks and play.
-
DMC2 was a Flop.. DMC3 was way better in terms of gameplay and looks on a PS2 (on PC it was an omg in terms of frames) and now DMC4 just kick thier butts in performance and gameplay
-
ok installing as i type whats with the hdr script where is it ?
-
Royk50 it doesnt make much difference but if you want it, go to Documents and settings/youuserhere/Capcom/thegamefolder/default.cfg
there should be something about HDR, set it to high.
btw , i would be grateful if you do the benchmark test pleasesince the game utilizes Quadcores, so there should be some difference on faster CPUs
-
sure in a sec....
-
Thank you very much
Devil May Cry 4.
