Necro's ultimate is super GG against Huskar, to all who think Huskar is invulnerable.

Invisible heros are quite easy to counter, Dust of Appearance, Gem, Sentry Wards. Axe's Q move will force invisible units within a small AOE force themselves to show and attack. Shadow Fiend's Shadow Raze doesn't need a target, and end game you'll crit 500-600.

Maybe its the fact that anything that's organized is synonymous with being pro (in terms of gaming) that probably made your team think that lol

    but wow. That feeding lol.

Gem is the best solution for stealth heroes. So don't delay this item if the enemy has more than one stealth hero. Naga's net should be able to reveal stealth as well but only if you target it first.

Silence prevents them from recloaking too ._.

But Baka agrees, if team is dominating, Gem is the way to go. If not, dust. Shutting down stealth heroes early is way easier than later in the game

Finally a good team. 1st blood with Chaos Knight, I've never seen a worse Phantom Lancer.

Armlet, Black King Bar, Vanguard, Powertreads, Assault Cuirass, Mantastyle = 12-0-7 as Chaos Knight.

Nice Hime! That's the same build I usually go for when I play CK.

Question: What's the proper way to use Armlet? Whenever I play CK, I like to activate it before I pop manta and my illusions so they can benefit from the buff. But how long do I leave it on for? Whenever I realize my hp is dipping kinda low, I deactivate it and by that time, it's already too late. Haha. I saw one video where this guy was getting chased with low hp andhis chasers could do much but right click him. So while running he would activate his Armlet right before he got hit for the HP boost and then deactivate it when he didnt' get attacked. Pretty smart.

Uhh I only use Armlet very sparingly, mostly during beginning of the game as his attack speed isn't so hot.

So this is what happens when you let a Nature's Prophet feed; Hand of Midas, Powertreads, Orchid Malevolence, Desolator, Sceptre, and Scythe of Vyse. Oddly I didn't have the highest XP/min only Gold/min

A fed Nature's Prophet is nearly indestructible and a true killing machine. To troll the other team, I would replace Powertreads with Boots of Travel near endgame lol. Two teleports xD

Armlet is useful all game. Activate before team fight and dominate. If the fight lasts longer than about ten seconds and nothing is happening, turn it off and back away. Only use if you are fully committing, otherwise, it can really hurt you.

Also lategame, if you have a heart or enough Regen, you can leave it on.

I actually never get armlet... Mask of madness is the way to go, the highest AS in game with great lifesteal and movement works wonders with CK.

The problem with mom is the ability to get shut down so easily by stuns. No lifesteal + bonus damage = dead. Armlet adds survivability + attack speed.

MoM only works if you are guaranteed an attack like Void, especially in Chronosphere. The problem is people rely on Mask of Madness for health regen, and if you are retreating...does you no good. Even then MoM is only used for the insane attack speed it gives, not lifesteal.

^ Not to mention Mask of Madness bonus to movespeed, which is why it is pretty decent (but not absolutely the best) on Spiritbreaker, who relies on MS for damage.

Yea with armlet you can do some nifty tricks like dodge deaths with well-timed activations. Good on Huskar for that very reason. When you fully commit to attacking with armlet on and you are about to die, WAIT for your HP to drop to about 1-2 more hits till death, then quickly deactivate-activate to boost back up to 500 between enemy attacks. Obviously this doesn't always work, but when it does, your heart will skip a beat :D

The bonus attack speed is worth it, but the lifesteal is what counteracts the extra damage received. Only viable on void in my opinion. Either way, it's not between mom and armlet for void. On a str hero, the bonus damage from the added strength is very nice. lifestealer makes the best use of it of course.

Is this too much block for Bounty Hunter? I had Wand, Phase Boots, Poor Man's Shield, Vanguard, Sange and Yasha, and Battle Fury, though I was sitting on 5200 gold very end game. I ended up 15-0-19, I just hate dying with assassin characters unless I'm sure my team can kill the entire other team.

With a 15-0-19 score, it seemed to be just enough block. Just for funsies if the game had gone on for a bit, with 5200 gold left, you probably could've sold the wand out for a Heart for that nice boost in hp (unless of course the wand was solely for a mana regen burst)

Fiending to play some DotA! I was busy all of Thursday-Sunday due to being a groomsman for a wedding and a birthday lunch for my girlfriend's dad so I haven't played in a long time. HOpefully I can get on some today!!

Finally got to play some DotA last night. Pretty happy about that. First game, played as BH. Completely got shut down. Lost that game fast. Second game, played as Necro and it felt so good to own the radiant team. I think I died twice and I had like 8-10 kills and had about 15 assists. Not too bad. His ult is pretty nasty and that spammable Q is so clutch. Third game I played BH again and did much much better. Didn't go 15-0 like you Hime, but just about. Had Treads, MKB, Desolator, Poor Man's, Basilius, and Vlad's.

Kinda bummed I chose not to open the 6 summer chests I had. Ended up giving them to a friend who lives in florida. Mind you this was 9pm PST, so over there it was already 12am. After the trade, he said the boxes disappeared almost immediately. hahaha.

Also, did you guys know they implemented a small 2minute debuff if you don't accept/decline a game queue pop? Just learned about it yesterday when a friend in our party missed the queue and we couldn't queue up for another 2 mins.

Those are probably the funnest type of games, when it comes down to a base race. Was it like all 5 of them in your base and all 5 of your team in their base?

The best base race I had was when our beastmaster got so beefy and pushed their top lane hard. All five of the radiant was in our base and the 4 of us were defending the best we can and eventually our beastmaster was able to get to their ancient, but he had hardly any creep to help him.

There were just the 3 of us including Baka defending and 2 of Baka's allies are pushing the last two enemy towers. All of the enemies were in Baka's base :( Morphling was the main problem but morphling died. Shadow Fiend killed Baka in the process though :(

Thank god one of the ally that's pushing is a Brewmaster ._.

That's why it's better to push early than drag it to late game unless many in your team are late game heroes. It's fun to base race but the risk is higher.

Hopped on for a game after throwing some clothes into the wash and played as bounty hunter (I have this wanting to get good with him). Such an awkward game. Laned against Visage and Dirge, both very aggressive. My partner was Storm Spirit and he kept getting mad at me for not doing anything. Honestly, what could I do against that? After about level 5-6, I started roaming, hoping to land some ganks, and it happened a few times. Our mid was huskar against drow and he fed drow like crazy. After that, there wasn't much hope. After the loss, hopped off the game and unhappily finished up my laundry like it was a chore my mom was yelling at me to do.

Yay! So I finally got my Beta key and surprisingly it was not from Steam, but from a competition on the Dota Forums that I entered a long time ago. I filtered my yahoo e-mail for the word dota and found that I had won 3 keys a long time ago.

Anyway to Baka, Tsunade Hime and anyone else who plays regularly you can add me I am Andros2733 on Steam!

Gahh for some reason I'm having trouble with the "reply with quote" feature. Anyways andros, nice man! See like I said before, check those emails! The beta keys could have been sent a while back with you even knowing! Grats man! If you wanna add me, my steamID is steadylurkin.

So all I played this weekend was Bounty Hunter. After playing him a few times, I just had to get good with him, or at least understand his role and play it well. Earlier in the weekend, I did bad, got chewed out hard in some games, but as I got more games in, I was able to instill fear into the eyes of the opposing team. During laning, I'd harass and get my last hits in. Farm up a Poor Man's Shield to keep me in lane for a long time and a Ring of Basilius to help with mana regen. Then I'd go for treads next. After that, I usually start keeping the enemy on their toes by leaving the lane and going for ganks around the entire map, whether it be with a few of my teammates or by trying to catch a hero all by his lonesome. Then I usually like to go desolator next to help lower their armor some more along with Track and then MKB for them bashes. The only thing I'm still unsure about is how to open up with him. Say I'm invis and I'm about to come in for a gank, I usually like to open up with Jinada and save Shuriken to either ensure the kill or if they're channeling a spell or a TP. I usually Track right away if it's another invis hero, if they're running away, or just a few right before the kill.

Baka does not play regularly ._. Baka has latency and rage issues.

For Bounty hunter, Baka simply plays him as a few hit kill hero without relying on the shuriken toss ._. Involves lots of minus armor but takes a lot of farm. It's overall a slower start but is more reliable mid/end game. If Arnski wants early domination, shuriken toss is the way to go :)

City plays like a god. Baka suggests Arnski plays with City once in a while ._.

Haha I'm down to play with City! I'm by no means a god at the game, but I feel I hold my own.

Yeah I don't rely too much on Shuriken. I really only use it, like I said, to secure a kill or to stop someone from channeling. I mean I'll still use it outside of that, but those are the primary ways I'll use it.

Also, I've stated on here before that I've been playing a lot of Necro lately, and well, I'm still playing a lot of him and each time, I just fall in love with his ult animation. Probably one of the coolest looking animations in game.

IMO Shuriken should be leveled in conjunction with Jinada, while having only 1 level of Shadow Walk. Shuriken used to kill stragglers.

Awesome game as Lycan, 15-3-11. Heart of Tarrasque, Black King Bar, Abyssal Blade, Powertreads, Hyperstone, Vlad, and was sitting on 5600 gold, coulda had Divine Rapier.

Anyways, Hime, with my thoughts on what to level first is I like to try and get a fast 2 points into shadow walk before level 6 just because I like having the extra 5 seconds of being invis as it's coming off cooldown. Just kind of an assurance that the enemies won't be able to see me. Usually my first 6 levels go I start off with shadow walk at 1, then 2 levels into shuriken, 1 into jinada, 1 into shadow walk, and then track. After that I max out shuriken first before jinada, only because at early game, 1 level into jinada should be enough to help you get last hits or snipe a kill. After that, since BH has a low base damage, the extra critical his won't be too noticeable. Also, about my comment about being unsure of how to open up with BH, super dummy of me. While in shadow walk, you get that bonus backstab damage. So I was kinda doing it right, opening would be (while in shadow walk) jinada > track > shuriken.

Played as Lina yesterday and went for a more "battle" Lina build and man oh man, she's so bursty. Talk about being a glass cannon. When our opponents were clumped up, I opened up with the stun, then did a dragon slave + laguna blade combo and more often than not, got double kills. Got two bracers before getting boots and then after boots, went straight for a desolator. Had the other team not been so aggressive, my next item would've been a sheep stick. I was reading that a dagon would just add on to her burstiness, might try that later today.

Also, as soon as I logged onto steam, Baka backstabbed me and then proceeded to poke with with a pocky stick. Baka almost wasted that pocky stick, too....

Thanks bro, played a few games over the last 2 days in LAN with a friend and had a blast! Took a bit of getting used to the new menus in the first game, but then we were on our way. Got 3 wins out of 4 right now. Last game I played Ursa and went 12-0 with him before my Computer overheated! (It's really hot over here right now and I haven't cleaned out my CPU vents in a while.. fixed now). Still got the win for that game.

Hah nice! Since you're finally in the game, I'm sure you'd be willing to take part in the NBR 5v5 inny.

Speaking of which, I know this was brought up by baka and some others while a few of us were on steam and for those that were down, mention here or send me an IM via steam to let me know what time would be best for you to get on so we can coordinate what time we can set this game.

Also, does anyone know if we have 10 people who are down yet? I know I can count at least 6 NBRtians who's already said they're down.

lol well we suffered a loss, but funny game with Dragon Knight, 15-4-17. 3 x Hyperstones, Crystalys, Treads and Vanguard = kill AM in my 3.5 second stun (fully fed with Battlefury, Manta, Skullbasher, Vlad).
