Bloodseeker is an insane ganker, starting up to early on with early Bloodrage against intelligence heros. His rupture annihilates any fast moving heroes like Razor, Death Prophet, Enchantress. Once you level up Bloodrage, the cooldown is shorter than the duration of the spell, so you can keep on spamming it, death for heroes like Storm Spirit. However he isn't invincible. Rupture can be teleported out of and Bloodseeker doesn't have any stuns though you can Silence with Bloodrage. Also if built right, he's an insane tank who should be able to withstand multiple chain stuns and with his passive speed boost, easily outrun anyone but Razor and Death..

However if not built right, Bloodseeker is just a minor annoyance.

I play Bloodseeker quite alot, so this comes from experience. A funny combo I have found is you use Rupture and if they don't move, use Force Staff on them and kill them.

Man I was on a 8-win streak or something despite having bad teammates on some of them (like the 22-5 clinkz win, I had to hide and farm and then late game it was using teammates as bait and killing all 5 opponents lol. Kept doing that and eventually we were able to push in and win).

    Dota stats-Machiavelli

Then the 9th game the mid solo decides to ragequit after dying a few times, and that basically lost us the game. Gotta love leavers. We held our ground 4v5 for awhile but it was obvious we would lose against a Refresher Tidehunter and Lich.

Although I haven't been playing DotA 2 much. My games are pretty spaced out :p. I've been playing DotA LoD on WC3, until maybe we can get some NBR games going!

Baka apparently is only good for bots ._. Even that, Baka loses a lot of normal bot games

Baka also do a lot of Baka item/skill builds that's not really usable in normal games. Baka has a very weird trail of thought and playstyle for this ._.

That aside, Baka thinks Baka is available for bot games most of the time so just poke Baka if needed :)

Unfortunately real games are totally different...usually they harass so bad in lane you can't get any farm done. Though I once did lane against a Zeus mid with me as Chaos Knight, needless to say I dominated end game due to farm.

I love playing solo top or solo bot Brood vs 2. Just did a couple of games with this tactic and end up outleveling my opponents by half a dozen levels or more.

I max out slow passive and put 2 levels on webs to cover the whole lane, then at lvl6 (or sometimes earlier if they make a mistake) the fun begins.

After 1 or 2 kills I start heavily outleveling them and using the side shop I can happily shop for all the early items I need.

Of course wards can help in countering this tactic, still even if they ward I use carefully placed webs in forest to avoid detection if needed.

If they have stuns and such a trick on Brood is to try to get them to throw their stuns/nukes before you turn on your ult, so once you start attacking your health will quickly heal at a faster rate than they can dps you at early levels.

    Vent/

So I took a mini break from december because I was upgrading from my old notebook, recently I remembered how much I missed Dota2 and ended up since yesterday playing matches back to back.

In that short time frame I noticed 4/5 matches I was placed in had thick headed people - who were to say in such a short limited phrase simply repulsive to play with. How has the community changed this much in a short limited amount of time? No really when did it become socially acceptable to verbally harass and abuse other players for playing in a way they feel best?

I don't understand when did the community become confused about the way other people should be treated, or am I simply wrong? Are these simply the norms now to generally put down other players?

    // Vent.

TL;DR Looking to play with other players who simply play to give it there all and simply have a good time talking and chatting and playing the game like the way games are meant to be played with.

That's one thing that kind of makes me hesitant about MOBAs. It seems like everyone expects you to know everything right off the bat.

This past weekend, decided to try out Dragon Knight and PA. Dragon Knight is pretty interesting to play, but I felt I got the hang of him quickly. I did find myself forgetting that when switching to and from dragon form, you're also switching to and from being a melee to a ranged. Haha. In one fight, I switched back to human form from dragon and I was like, "Why didn't it stun him?!! I was spamming teh button like crazy!....oh...i forgot I am now a melee and needed to be in melee range."

PA is super fun because she is super strong and super easy to play. Take that with a grain of salt, though, she's only easy to play if you can get your last hits in early game and then rack up kills and farm. I laned mid against a mirana and fortunately for me, she spent most of her time rune watching and ganking top/bot while I farmed mid. After I got treads and battlefury, I went looking for lone enemies and taking out the ranged/support in the back of teamfights. Good times were had.

Anyways, sorry if this post is too long. There were some stuff I wanted to reply to and I only check the forums when I'm at work 0.0

Bloodseeker is hardly, if not not at all, used in higher end matches (assuming you mean tournaments and such). Although he can get really strong and scary at times, his ulti is easily countered by TPs. All higher end players utilize TPs more than lower levels do and bloodseeker just doesn't have any to prevent you from TPing out and back to your fountain. However, like Hime said, a Force Staff on him can be a way to troll players, but even then most bloodseeker players forego force staff to get other items to buff his damage. He can be easily taken out as he has no escape mechanisms when stunned/slowed and he really doesnt have much to contribute to the team.

Haha I find bots a bit more harassing than real players at times! Haven't played against bots in a while, but I remember them being super aggressive in lanes! I guess I've kinda learned from that in that now I like to play aggressive in lane and harass to get that lane equilibrium and get my last hits in if I'm a carry or if I'm a support, set my carries up for last hits and kills.

I always thought the DotA community was harsh. I've mentioned before my first ever experience when I tried to play original Dota and how bad that went. Ever since then, I've had this notion that dota/moba players had such bad attitudes and this crazy imagination of how big their s were. Since I started play DotA 2, though, I've just learned how to tune them out and not even pay attention.

Oh and again, I'm always down to play with anyone! Just send me an friend invite on steam: SteadyLurkin and hit me up if you're down for some games!

Ohhh shucks. Hmmm is there any other way to search for people on steam? In the case there isn't, if you can view the steam profile, mine's the one with the John F. Kennedy picture.

Forgot to mention in my giant wall of text post that I have caught the fever of buying keys to open up chests (0.0). I got one of those summer chests and I decided to open it up and got a rare Omniknight hammer. I now have 4 other summer chests and I'm debating on when/if I should get the keys to open them.

Haha I think the opposite, I hate treant and like shaman. Sure the tree can tank a bit better but he can't kill a thing and is only useful for his ult in a teamfight later in the game. Shaman is always useful as long as you don't dive and get killed.

Was that nbr game going to happen any time soon? I've got a couple of you on steam friends but not 9, and we're never on at the same time...

I really liked Shadow Shaman's E. The only thing I didn't know what to do was the item build. I rushed Aghanim's (like a baddie). I'm thinking of going Refresher Orb first next time instead.

For Treant Protector, I think I went E>Q>W with an item build of Arcane Boots, Drum of Endurance, Vanguard, Heart of Torrasque. I had more fun with him cause I was tanking towers and all that fun stuff.

Simon, this is completely random, but I noticed you live in Davis. Have you ever gone to that shawarma spot right next to the UC, next door to that Chocolat restaurant? My friends took me there a few weeks back and I've been wanting it ever since. There aren't any good shawarma spots in Sacramento =\

Shadow Shaman is a potent disabler/ganker but he is extremely squishy. I like to shadow blade with him, it looks like he is gone, but you pull your ultimate, hex extremely annoying stunners, and bind away. Q spam if you got the mana.

Baka suggests getting Euls Scepter for Shadow Shaman. Make them float, then plant wards directly under them before they land. When they land, they're trapped. Easiest way to ward trap people.

Asides that, buying Aghanim's Scepter only makes it harder for shadow shaman to ward trap someone as getting more wards changes the pattern in which the wards are summoned instead of boxing them in.

Refresher's orb is great on shadow shaman but Baka suggests against rushing it as a first item as getting it first will result in lack of mana for constant CCing and nuking in teamfights. One combo and Shadow Shaman runs out of mana at that point. Baka suggests grabbing Scythe of Vyze first ._. More CCs = better for teamfights.

Baka also suggests getting blink dagger early. It helps Shadow Shaman survive, gank or get into position/chase better. Baka does not suggest getting Shadow Blade :/ Too expensive and it's not a good item on him. Too easily countered.

The ABSOLUTE most important rule of Dota 2?

    Win the game.
But in all seriousness, farm farm farm if you are a carry. Nothing like seeing a noob Anti-Mage trying to engage at like level 3 or 4 with like boots and that is it. And support do their jobs of denying and harassing the enemy.

Many heroes in Dota2 have more cast delays. Casting spells in Dota 1 is quicker. And when I press F1 to select my hero, you need to press it twice for the selection to happen.

9/3/19 doesn't seem too out of the scope depending on how long the game went on for. Actually I wouldn't really put it past CM to get some kills. She is quite capable of it as her ulti is practically a nuke, frostbite has that dot, and a late nova could swoop the kill. I've seen some tournament plays where the CM was getting kills early game...might've been unintentional, but still. Although, I do see where you're coming from.

I had 1/3 of my teams kills, and game ended in 30 minutes. I had an easy early 2 kills with Frostbite + Crystal Nova. Easy double kill with my ultimate.

Ahh yeah. A CM with 9 kills shouldn't happen within a 30 minute game. Well at least you know you're a b.adass with CM then! Haha.

Played a 5v5 inny with friends last night and the first game we did AR. I wanted to play AR and was hoping to get someone with the standard 4 abilities just so I can try someone new....instead I got Shadow Fiend, one of the ones with a billion spells (0.0). Needless to say, I freaked out so I repicked.

As long as I have a decent laning partner that has half a brain, I usually get first blood or my laning partner will. Her play IMO is pretty simple, harass melee and ranged enemies, and deny deny deny and ward. I find I need to get boots for her near ASAP as I'm not super good at creep block.

My play is slowly chip away their health, then Frost Bite then Q once it is over to get slow. Only thing that sucks is if you lane against a Dazzle. >:[

Exactly how I lane when I play CM. Set my carry up for last hits, while harassing and denying and warding. I like getting Tranquil boots for her better than treads or phase because it has a higher +movement speed and it has a heal which, I believe for CM, is very helpful, and it's cheaper.

I hate laning against heroes with a fast base movement speed because CM is very, very slow at the start =\

While playing a game as Tide yesterday, I just realized that the heroes like to talk trash to other heroes. Hahah it was real cool. In that game, I was laning against a Slardar, and after me and my partner killed him, Tide says something along the lines of "Slardar, why would you try to fight me? We should fight together and bring Kunkka to the bottom!" Then in the next game as Chaos Knight, I was laning with an Omniknight and when he healed me, Omniknight goes, "It's nice to see all of you Chaos Knight!" So good. THen in the next game as Phantom Assassin, I died to Lanaya, and she goes, "Phantom Assassin? I was never really a fan..."
