ok. then it doesn't work for the 9800 series unless it's in non sli mode.
and even in single card mode...it doesn't drop the x16 to x1.

i know it has it, but it doesn't work on any sli 9800m system. well, not sure about the sli 9800m gts since it just came out.

i tried a variety of them and none of them work. including your other folder for sli users starting with your 180.43 drivers.

and yes...i do read the release notes. and the release notes say nothing about why it doesn't work nor why the link doesn't work...unless you have some hidden super secure file i over looked. *LOL*

edit: and to tell you the truth... it could all be a np9200 thing all together meaning... no matter what is in the inf, it will not over ride the bios or vbios of the card in terms of powermizing it fully... (speculation of course) im still working on that theroy...

Dox, can you make a non-installer version? because SLI is broken for me, every game's FPS have been cut into half, but ive got to say, the Image Quality is astonishing, ive installed COD4 just to test, and man it looked good.

EDIT: yeah, one more thing, the stutter tweaks you have done did payoff with this version of the driver, although in previous releases they didnt work for me, now if you only could do a none installer version as the older releases

whats the usual install procedure for SLI?
I thought you have to run the installer twice?

    OK try this:

INstall driver using my installer and nvidia's setup,
    then reboot as normal.

Now if the driver doesnt install for the second card:
go to device manager and select the card that does not have the driver installed, and choose to install the driver there as you would for modded inf, and custom forceware 180.70 should pop up as a comptible driver, so choose to install that.

alright, this didnt do the trick, it will always try to install both cards, when i try to stop the first, the whole installation shuts down. there is no way around it but a none-installer version

and anyways, is there someway to contact you? need to talk to you about something...

    brainer,

whats the usall way to install drivers to work in sli?
I thought you said a prompt came up to install for two cards and you chose no?
I know people have reported that their cards worked fine on SLI - but those were G92 cards.

I wont make non installer version of my drivers sorry.

yes, i have to agree there

    we'll do

i was looking for that as well.. :)

install one card and watch the screen go blank. reboot then do a driver update in stall for the first card and it usually will update both cards. then reboot and your done... sort of.

then look for all keys reading "rmdynamicsli" and change them all from 0 to 1. this is so you can go from sli to non sli on the fly. it usually changes when you add a new driver.

so to confirm the key RMdynamicsli allows sli on and off without a restart?
    is that the exact key.

Unfortunately i do not have sli, or plan to get one in the future, so therefore my drivers is not as compatible with it as i would like it to be.
Alhthough people reported they do work.
If you want better sli support just stick to using pieter's.

Hmm... I've got a Vaio Z590 with the switchable graphics, the dedicated GPU being the 9300M, would I be able to install this driver, and still retain my Z series' switchable graphics function without any problems?

I'm very interested to try this out... if I can at all.

The installer should be located somewhere in the temps folder. In Windows XP it's "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp" and it's in a folder there.

your drivers work fine for the most part. they just install funny is all. but once installed they work very well.

now if i can help with any of this sli stuff, then by all means give me a direction to go in and i will put forth my best foot to help resolve any issues. pertaining to 9800m series and up.

and if anyone thinks your drivers are not as good as projected...tell them to have a look at the links in my sig. i was using your inf file for most of my records. and the second runner up driver was my stock 176.25 (my stock driver) and a bunch of smooth gaming play as well.

if you READ the text next to the powermizer button.
It says that it will put the powermizer.exe on your desktop.
Its not a shortcut, its the actual file.

    lol,
just delete it as you would another file.
It doesnt do anything unless you double click it and choose the options that comes up. I'm sure you have heard of powermizer switch: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=273276

I include it with vista since nvidia cant be bothered to implemtent settings in the control panel to turn powermizer on/off like in XP.

    Dont worry mate! :D

hey, just a quick note, I loaded these on my Toshiba X205 SLi1 with SLI 8600gt's, and the install went fine, enabled SLI in the nvidia panel and disabled Pysix, and they've worked great... no issues, and do have to mention that Far Cry 2 looks better than ever with definately no loss of performance... Thanks!

So is the consesus to disable Physx or keep it enabled? Is there a difference in performance having it enabled? Of course with a game that utilizes it.

    - cdnalsi: please look st doxfromlv2go signature area and you will see his links to his drivers.

-Kraz30g: no, it puts the .exe file on your desktop...which lets just say for the sake of confusion that YES its just a shortcut AS LONG as you dont double click it... to get rid of it just drag it to your recycle bin.

from what he said a few posts above, I belive it simply places the .exe file on the desktop, then you use that to change the setting in the registry... it's not a shortcut, it's the file itself.

Also to any wondering, SLI is working great, just tried Lead4Dead and it looks great and runs awesome with these drivers... thanks again DOX.

kraz just use nTune 6.03, it is a much better driver and will allow you to set which games get overclocked and what at what clock speeds.

Kraz the powermizer icon is perfectly normal no need to worry if that is what you were referring to.

As for the driver settings. Rivatuner will most likely not know of this drive or recognize it as it has not been implemented into the program yet.

W8 for a new update and it should be fine. As long as all the files are 180.70 in the bottom box then you should be just fine.

I am positive next update will fix this problem.
