    whoa, hold on...
if you want to help in that way, I am interested...
I could do with someone with sli and with you having all those OS's as well...
Who knows, I never ask people to beta test for me in a public.
I only ever PM if they show interest and submit bug reports which I think i can fix then I PM a newer build to them.

What I am confused about is some say sli work with mine.
then some say it doesnt because they need to install it in a particular way.
Due to the way my current installer works this is not possible so I made adjustments to it for next release :) - so brainer and other can install it in that particular way.

hummmm.... what i noticed is...when installing them. they will start to install and start the normal flash of the screen as the driver starts to install. the screen will stay black. you have to power off then power back on, but usually the driver will have installed and all that is left is to enable sli, reboot and all is well.

it hangs when trying to install the second card, but when you turn it off then turn it back on..both cards are installed.

it did the same thing on 64 bit for me as well.

Dox, sorry i had to break our chat yesterday, dad was furious on me, Now.. about SLI

it works alright, in Fallout 3/Farcry 2/ Left 4 dead, but on the other hand DeadSpace has taken a 30FPS hit, i know a driver is not perfect and all that,

the problem isnt with SLI not working now, its with its scaling being significally decreased, dont bother with this now, since SLI users here arent much compared to Single card users, also many SLI users wont see the difference since thier Single card will handle the games with ease, so SLI scalability wont affect them,

    Thanks again for the drivers.

Yup the cards will work now, but if you compare Stock 180.70 to DOX 180.70 you can see that scalability is decreased, but still, i wont go back to stock, Since Dox's driver is way more stable in optimized.

I got worse performance with these than the XtremeG 180.42 so I reverted back to just those drivers. I mean Far Cry 2 took a quite big hit in XP with these drivers.

Is there any other version that doesn´t have any automatic installer for your Dox drivers? I prefer to install the drivers my way especially since I have SLI.

Will give them a try in Vista though first.

oh and brainer with the current installer,
the driver files are extracted to the tempory folder for windows.
If you are in the know (which I am sure you are) you can find that folder and install if your way.

it will scale... this is where we need that little desktop switch.. :)

if you use nhance, it's easier to switch between modes. and the modes being..
    single
    auto
    sfr
    afr
    afr2
    afr-sfr
    afr 3 way
    afr 4 way

each time you think your game isn't scaling...try one of the other 8 choices. one should work...
    hey magnus..how goes it?

    now your talking. nice job!

erm johnksss with my respect, you know ive been using SLI for a longer time than you :p

i made static profiles that i load eachtime i use a new driver, which are optimized for SLI, so when i see a performance drop, then there is something with the installation, because the profiles remain the same.

can you explain more about you profiles?
you shouldnt really do that since nvidia has it own profiles for each game that the driver detects when you launch a certain game exe

alright, i'll put this into Simple...

i download a certain driver, i like the profile, hmm what should i do? i keep its settings to use with a different driver that isnt too good with that game, in this way, i keep a perfect SLI support for all games Via Nhancer, now before you tell me that my profiles are causing the driver to break , ive tried the stock profiles provided with the driver, and its still the same, which indicates that although the second card is working, its still not kicking in,

and btw, ive installed the driver using the old method, and everything is fine now, and its all better than stock 180.70 :D

I'd like to take a moment to thank Dox.

This is an extremely nice package all set up for mobile users and better yet he is providing it AND some very involved support FOR FREE.
(honestly, I have $40,000 equipment that gets FAR less support than Dox is providing)

Major karma for you... and rep.

Is this new installer up now. Because when i installed DOx 180.70 i was never given an option to choose between performance or balanced.

Did you update the link now so i can choose one of these two options or did i just miss it by chance.3

Is there a way to solve the sleep issue?
XPS M1530 with 8600M GT (Windows XP) sometimes doesn't wakes up from sleep, displays a black screen.
Seems like a very common issue with all 180.x drivers.

Yes sure, I have promised to take around 200 screens for my friend who is going to review the game. Will definitely post some screens. Though from reading that it doesn´t run well on a 4870 it seems a little scary :) Installing it in XP now and see how it runs in XP. Then I will run the game in Vista 32 too.

Hey dox, I'm hoping you can help me out. I've tried every release of your drivers, and my video card refuses to overclock with any of them. I have tried with both rivatuner and ATItool. Every time I set the clocks, it will just reset back to normal right away.

Right now I am using very old Mobileforce Xtreme G 94.20 drivers because they have been the most problem free for me. I can overclock with no issues using these drivers.

Well, as it turns out, Sony's rather heavily modified the NVIDIA driver, so installing other drivers would effectively render my Stamina/Speed switch useless.

...Don't suppose you can add that functionality to the next release... >_<

Lol now TemjinZero, doesnt sound like it would be too easy to do. If Sony modifies the driver themselves to work for they're systems then coding a driver to work like or similiar to this switch will no be an easy thing to do.

Though the almighty DOX, lol, might be up to the challenge.

...I know... it's wishful thinking. Somehow they meshed intel's X4500 driver into the NVIDIA driver to make the speed/stamina switch over... T_T

Well I can tell there is difference between the performance and quality versions, and it is so cool how everything looks much more detailed. :D

By how much do you think the performance version will increase FPS, not by much right????
So wouldn't it be better to choose quality and enjoy a better looking game??

Off to play Gears Of War again and see if I can finish it again ;)

quality is what you are getting now :p
Balance is slightly reduced texture detail
and Perf is even more reduced detail.

they look almost identical in the screen shots (since its small and compressed) you'll just have to see for yourself next release ;)

I would recommend everyone go balance, as you can see it looks almost identical, bal would be 1-2% different than qual.

I personally choose qual since it looks great :D

    Hi I'm having some problems.

I was on the 180.70 stock driver and the visuals were fine. So i decided to install the Dox version to see if fps increased. And this is what I got.

So I decided to re-install the stock driver again, but GTA 4 stills runs like that. What do I do???

    1. How would I go back to my previous driver, because rolling back the DOX and reinstalling the stock doesnt work.

    2. Or how would I get the DOX driver to display the game properly?

    Thanks.

    I think I'm experiencing issues.
Performance and visual quality are fine ... but these drivers apparently made the system unstable as far as older games are concerned ... or so it seems.
Birth Of The Federation (a very old game) keeps crashing on occasion by saying: 'Trek.exe. has stopped working'.

Same thing happens with Knight of the Old Republic (I) (only on KOTOR it's MUCH more frequent).
Bioshock is stable and hasn't crashed yet though.
Although these older games are problematic.

EDIT: I completely disabled ESET Nod32 Smart Security and lowered the resolution to 800x600 in KOTOR.
    No crashes.
I don't know which one did the trick ... lower res, or Nod deactivation (which I never had to do before on XP when I played KOTOR).
I'd sooner attribute the crashes to the resolution than to Nod (but anything is possible).
Gonna try to play on 1024x768 with no Nod.

Hey I tried the method here to try and cleanly reinstall the stock 180.70 driver.

But after doing it when running GPUZ I get this.

I still get some funny text infront of the driver name. Does this mean the DOX version hasnt been fully uninstalled yet?

If you download NVtweak from laptopvideo2go, then go to IMage setting> high quality, THEN go to direct3d>level of detail>high -6. Then u will have the same looking textures as DOxs tweaked textures, but on any driver u use.
