does anyone know if shader quality affects the fps cos if it does and i can get a more consistent 60fps that would be awesome!

 

Why can't this game run at full screen? I select full screen but it runs in a fixed box in the corner of my screen. Windowed full screen works, but usually I find that consumes more resources and higher temps than just full screen.

 

That issue has crept in since the latest patch. You need to spam the left-click button and it will eventually decide to run in full screen mode after about 10 attempts!

Well borderless is a bit higher resources/temps cuz it still renders the desktop in the background even if you don't see it. For the multitasker it's a godsend, for the pure, single-monitor gamer it's a blight upon the world. I'm just annoyed I keep clicking off of Terraria when I'm in fullscreen. It likes to happen when I'm fighting bosses. Like, at least lock the mouse to click off screen till I bring up steam overlay or press escape for the in-game menu come on D=

 

I don't multitask when I game, I need to keep focus or I lose the immersion. Still can't get full screen working.

 

XD I multitask depending on the game. If it's Terraria I usually alt tab to see what to kill for various materials or something XD. But yeah, I understand your frustration, especially if it's eating away your performance.

Oh. I see your issue. Have you attempted editing the ,ini file to get it to run fullscreen? It's on frostbite 3, it should be editable a-la BF4.

Also, you still have CoD: Activision Welfare, Battlelfield 4 (is always relevant to every non-CS:GO-playing, non-MOBA/MMO-only-playing PC gamer apparently), Shadows of Murdurr, Hearthstone (for teh lulz), The Online Crew, Far-from-finished Cry 4, Unfinished Creed Unity-of-bugs, Titanfail, Downgraded Dogs, Metro 2033 & Last Light Redux, BugZ Standalone and finally if you somehow acquire H1Z1 early access, that should comprise all the (mostly) under-one-year-old, fairly recent games that people may be interested in.

I sincerely hope you can understand the games I listed the way I listed them =D.

most likely 1 code for the game but the rest would be the bonus dlc when you buy a deluxe edition or it's a pre-order bonus.

 

You misunderstood. He was asking if you can only activate the game a certain number of times or on a certain number of machines before you are locked out. 5 is a really common number for this kind of activation limit based DRM.

So ... It is a great pity for me . One type of DRM in this game is Origin , second type of DRM in this game is activation limit. I wonder when they will start to sell the games with 3 , or even more types of DRM :thumbsup:.
I like to play for a long time in the game like this one , and I have a few machines , so five codes is definitely not enough for me .
And when I see today's price .. , I'll not buy it for sure . I'll wait for a big big sale , like ea classics two for one , or something .

Usually you can easily text chat, email, or phone them for added activations. I did that with Crysis 2 I believe it was and they gave me 100 activations, lol.

I haven't seen the game with an activation limit. It would have to be a feature of the DRM and I don't think the drm that the game uses has that. So you have no excuse for not buying the game!

what are people playing as for their inquisitor? i am playing as a female human rogue that bears a slight resemblance to daenerys targaryen. Bioware did a nice job on the female character models - they have a nice butt!

 

Female elf as a mage. The models do look nice but...they could have had more body options. My char looks like she could eat a bit more....just skin and bone. Also is it me or have they not feed Morrigan also ? Just remembering her form the previous game having a bit more meat on her bones .

Yes, I have an excuse . More than one DRM in the same game is too much for me . After that, I read on the Polish forum that the game has a lot of mistakes, , not very good story , very poor control of the keyboard and mouse, and the last (mandatory) patch adds even more confusion.
So I think the game is good , but not worth the money at the moment , and imo worth waiting for sale and the next patch .
I'll wait a bit and buy a better product at a much better price - my self-defense against an access platforms ( Steam , Orygin and whatever else )

New nvidia drivers gave me a few more FEEPS. I'm not having any problems with the drivers either but then again, I don't sli ;/

Hey guys i stucked.I think its a bug!Champions of just mission and i cant proceed further or quit the mission.There is no npc to talk with it.It should be delrin barris like on youtube video but in my game he is not showing.Anyone had the same bug?

haha thanks i never saw to load game in the menu cause i always click continue and play with auto save.Looks like i will eventually support mages cause i fear that i will again get that bug.I like this game but such bug as these remind me on fallout 3 mothers zeta dlc which i played few years ago and also got stuck cause of npc not willing to move haha

 

Probably it could be playable even with a steering wheel . However, when I buy a PC game, I expect a good control on the mouse and keyboard. Maybe I expect too much .
It's the same with Fifa 14/15. If I have to suffer with the adjustment of keyboard I prefer to buy PES .

 

I think your expectations are reasonable but you should also expect PC gaming to evolve in the sense that games will simply begin to play better with a controller over time, especially when a big portion of our games are console ports and/or designed in parallel with consoles.

 

When this happens I don't want to live on this planet anymore...

 

It doesn't bother me as much. A mouse is simply a computer peripheral that's changed at least 3-4x since I began my computing life. I remember complaining when we went from 2 buttons to 2+mouse wheel and I continue to complain about how an Apple mouse remains a single button. To me personally, nothing is more comfortable then an original 360 controller; I actually prefer it these days regardless of gaming platform.

 

the control scheme for the keyboard and mouse is awkward and best, the mouse controls are just wrong for a 3rd person game. even mass effect has better controls for keyboard. if you want to go full MMO on this game then feel free to do so but saying that using a controller is stupid is just stupid. I'm in this game for the story and the experience so a controller is perfect alternative.

 

Agreed. I used to be a mouse+kbd snob a long time ago. I prefer the 360 controller these days, I get sad when the game doesn't support it and it makes sense for it to do so. Something like Wasteland 2 or Divinity: Original Sin I can live with. DA:I doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me to not use a controller. But, alas, this is all just my opinion. There's no wrong way to look at it. If you prefer mouse+kbd who am I to judge. If the game doesn't support it or work well with it, that's the game designers choice due to popular opinion.

 

I simply prefer KBM for most things. But sometimes games just like controllers better. FPS? KBM for me. Platformer? Controller. RPG? Could go both ways, depending on the RPG. I'll never play Final Fantasy with KBM, but I'll easily play Dragon Age: Origins with KBM. Then again, Dark Souls 1 and 2 are controllers through and through. So is Grid 2 and Blur. Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat could go either way.
