downloaded several free games already including an mmo, but it seems it wont work that way.

and i dont have any retail games to activate on steam. maybe ill buy arkham asylum for 7 bucks its on sale

Count me in as a part-timer...real life still beckons too much. But I enjoyed Guild Wars, even though I never joined a guild But I played DDO for years as a Loreseeker(and still do occasionally). GW2 seems like a fun time, so let's go for it.

Assuming the common posters know what they are talking about. Then my vote goes to Star Forge. Hey, are we going to have a vent server and possibly a site/blog/ something that is more organized then a thread? This is fine for now, but when the game comes out, it is hard to run a guild through a thread.

Well you would have to take it up with Star Forge or the perspective leader as he or she will be assigning the officers. Well this is a guild, that's what the past like 8 pages have been about. Lol, yes, SF has the Mass Effect Avatar if that is what you're asking me with the numbers on the space suit.

Yeah I am the N7 Avatar that does not have the Viking Helmet and I am a guy so.

Also, yeah there will be officer positions and people would be assigned to them (assumed under the current Guild Wars 1 guild hierarchy). I would just be the actual leader of the guild but I will use my power effectively to create the guild and maintain the logistics of it. I will be giving out Officer positions for those that want to also help out in a pivotal way and in a sense being an Officer is also a honorable and respected position in the guild.

While you are running it, how would you pick officers? I am sure I will be active every night after school work and on weekends. Also, is this purely PvE or PvP aswell. I was a big PvPer before in WoW, but I want to do both.

 

I think we should be both PvP and PvE! It would attract all types of people!

 

I have experience as an officer in a full 100 people ranked guild, I was the guild event organizer, and I would be willing to take that position up again

I won't be online until late August. I'm so getting the GW2 Collector's Edition!

 

What is it? If it has models, then I'm not buying from steam, I'm buying retail.

 

I'm not sure GW2 will be on steam, i hope since it would help boost the sales, but the first game didn't appear on steam before a few years after launch.

I'll definitely be getting the game day1 (or if i pre-order online when it gets shipped to my home). Glad to see people joining .

I'll probably start with a charr engineer, charr because i like them and engineer to go with my profession in life . The most funny part is i have a degree in engineering, the engineer in GW uses guns and explosives and i'm currently doing research in propellants more friendly for the environment. That's too many coincidences .

PvP and Asura? Wowza. Beta at PAX please or at least 8th profession and beta at PGW

 

I'll be a caster when I play, thats good since so far I see people opting to not be casters so it wont be too unbalanced in class choice.

 

Is a AMD Radeon or a GTX graphics card better for this game?

 

It depends on which version of each card you're talking about.

6990M AMD Radeon would be better than a GTX 260M ,

a GTX 580M would be better than a 6770M AMD Radeon.

Check out Notebook / Laptop Reviews and News - Notebookcheck.net for GPU comparison. GW2 will not be like really graphically demanding to play minimally but if you want to play it max you will need something good. Anything in Class 1 should do you just find if you want to play the game. I cannot guarantee you will max it but it will probably look nice

first of all this is a great Thread and i am not even done reading it i am on page 14 now and still reading. But i needed to post this before this thread closes. I want in the guild i was looking for this for a long time and have even made plans to begin my own guild of extraordinary people but then on this beautiful evening i cam a cross this thread

i am playing guildwars 1 atm to get the lore in my head and know what the history for gw 2 will be. i have 1 question is there somewhere the guild will grow?

i mean do you guys already have a site?
or team-speak server?
or how do you guys keep in contact with onoanother??

Well, we have a steam group if that is what you mean by site. And as of right now we dont have a team-speak server, but me and a few other from NBR talk over the steam chat system, and it seems to work fairly nice as of right now. And we keep in contact using Steam, Me Plague doctor, Tijo and SaveTheKennies are currently playing through Prophecies, at a slow phase that might be, but when we play, we have a good time talking to each other

I will try to make a steam acount and join the guild, i am learning HTML, CSS, And Java script and in the future ill be expanding it with php scrip site making. so to get to the point i am willing to make the site for the guild and ofc maintain the site when its air born. but do you like that idea i am excited like hell hehe was looking for a group of people like this.

ps. i am also playing prophasy right now reading every quest and taking it slow. so mabe we play together some day
