If I recall correctly, the GW2 devs stated that if you can run GW1 on Max, you'll be able to run GW2 comfortably on medium.

Also, it runs on graphics cards that are not even sold anymore.

So I think it is time to pick the guild name! :D I took in my opinion the 8 most logical, yet humorous, names people came up and push it into a poll. Just vote for the best one you think you would like to be the guild name. I will have it up for a few days to give everyone time.

Let me know if you have any concerns or questions about this!

Please Vote: What Guild Name Shall We Be???

If you didn't read from previous posts, Notebook Review will detract the recruiting rate and openness of accepting all types of players. Our guild is intended to expand beyond just NBR members.

Need to start drafting a team for PVE content.

I would prefer to do the entire PVE content the game has before I do PVP because I like the story/lore and I don't want to lvl up in PVE and then have to skip PVE content because I over leveled.

The team is a casting team just like my 4 player borderlands LP I have going on.

    ‪Let's Play Borderlands 4 Player Co-Op‬‏ - YouTube

Time is going to be Saturday Night ~11PM EST weekly and play for 2 Hours+ (2 being the minimum, + being till we feel like going to bed)

A fixed team means awesome teamwork will be forged so we can do content with ease. Being a part of my casting team means lots of fun banter and we will be able to communicate easily via my Mumble server to aid us in game (being a part of the casting team means you are required to use it)

It's just once a week so you can have your 2nd character to do as you wish with during the week, but leave your casting character untouched unless playing with the team so we keep the same level and same progress in the game.

    You should not apply if:

    > You dont like to talk
    > You dont have a mic
    > You can not 100% commit to being on every week on time

Check out some of the borderlands videos to see what I hope to accomplish. We are having a lot of fun with that so I wont to continue the great co-op gameplay with Guild Wars 2.

Going to be hard to do since there is a tiered team structure as the missions progress. For example in Guild Wars 1, the first missions only allows 4 Player Slots but the last missions has 8. Furthermore, you have to deal with the community and those people might have their ways in leading a team structure. Too many variables to try attempt something like this in an organized, co-op manner.

If 4 is the base then I'll use a 4 person core team and if needed we get 4 others from the guild or PUG when needing to do 8 player stuff.

You cant assume anything with GW2 yet anyways since its not out, they have it set with these open environment dynamic events and stuff that you can do single person with the general public, nothing will stop us from doing stuff like that with a small team for fun & entertainment.

Im sure it will require a bit of fine tuning to make it all work out, like progressing so far into the game before we can meet up to do content, and other minor details however planning now the team is a good idea because I feel confident that there will be content to seek out and do no matter what, even if we run out of PvE to do we can form a solid PVP team out of it as well.

Vicious, you have one awesome setup. :D

@Starforge - If I recall correctly, GW2 doesn't really have tiered teams. Dungeons are always 5 man, and pve content scales to however many people show up.

What will be difficult would be deciding whose personal story to complete (everyone has their own).

BTW I am getting it at release. Have not pre-ordered yet just in-case some kind of deal/sale comes up or maybe a Collectors Edition that I like.

@ Pluberus Thats easy Viking wins by default :D J/K maybe we will find a way to do all the stories. I guess the only problem in that would be out-leveling the content.

If if fits in my schedule, which it should, count this GW veteran in. I'll also be getting the game at release and i'll be able to fill in the position of the guy with an accent, French accent that is :p.

As for the personal storyline, i wonder if the choices can be made as a group so it would advance all 4 or more persons at a time.

I dont think there will be a problem with out leveling the content. I saw somewhere that if you go back to lower level content as a higher level they raise the difficulty.

Lots of people interested that's great.

When it comes time to do it of course I will have to pick those that I know are 100% dedicated.

Also things may come into play like location (lag) and character choice. Though since this is your alt character if your chosen to be in the casting team it should not be a big deal to use a class/character that you do not want to use as your main giving you a good chance to explore another class/profession.

I want no duplicates in the team so make us as diverse and well rounded as possible. I don't even think they have revealed all the professions yet so its not like we can pick them now to plan that part out.

One thing we need to do is make sure that we pick an official server ASAP soon as that is possible so everybody on NBR can be on the same server. Obviously that is another thing we probably cant do now, maybe not up until release.

ArenaNet confirmed that you can inter-swap servers for free so that isn't a big deal. It would be helpful though for your commentary though, so you we all have a base to setup.

Also, I definitely have the time if you are willing to stick to Saturday @ 11PM EST. However I already called the Norn Female Engineer! :p

We are doing a re-vote with two more good entries and the top three winners of the first poll. This one will be final. Who ever wins in this poll will be our name.

I cant say I see the point of limiting yourself to NBR as the acronym when NBR stands for Notebook Review but we are going to expand beyond NBR.

May as well come up with a 100% original name and just have everybody on NBR join it and then expand as planned.

I say this as I wear NBR as my tag in Steam for Notebook Review but if I was going to have a team that is not NBR only then I would rather have a cool name than some half baked hybrid.

In other words I kinda don't like any of those names. The clossest would be the first but I would rather see it "Notorious Booze Raiders"

I just want the name to be awesome! :D Why don't we get a one word guild name if that is possible? :p
The only thing I disagree with you on this Vicious, is a name with the tag NBR, that's my least favorite name.

I am personally fine just severing this Guild's ties to NBR references directly if it has to come down to a better-sounding and looking title. It can still be NBR's baseline guild and can still be mentioned as so around here. Therefore I am pretty indifferent in going with any of the current names or trying again, this time under any tag and name combination.

I agree, and what PlagueDoctor said, if we go for a one worder then my vote goes for "Perseverance"
Also, since we are discussing what profs we are each taking, I think I am going for a Necromancer, or something that has the same play style as the Warlock in WoW.

One word don't work well. They get taken easily and I think Guild Wars 1 required at least two words. So two to three words title is what we are aiming at.

Perhaps I overcomplicated what I was trying to say and made it hard to understand.

All I was trying to make clear is the fact that NBR stands for Notebook Review.

If we are not going to use NBR to stand for Notebook Review, then why limit yourself to creating a new team name using only those letters?

Having a "cool" team name will be much easier to accomplish if we open up the possibility to create it from scratch rather than try to fit it into those 3 letters.

I'm personally totally ok with just using NBR and having the team be "Notebook Review" we can start it and people can still join it all the same. I think they will join based on we have to offer not based on our name or where it came from.

Who knows it could be a good avenue to get more people on the forums.

You misunderstood me, or I didn't know of a good way to explain what I was saying. I do not like the name Nocturnal Booze Raiders. I am fine with not matching the tag NBR, I only presumed people wanted to use it because that's where we are talking right now, in NBR.

Il see how much time i could put into a new MMO but sadly i do not have enough free time left.
But Deus Ex 3, Rage, Skyrim and BF3 is preordered for PC, and i also made a preorder for Forza 4.

I was just visiting the local GameStop in my area and i picked up GW: Factions, GW: Nightfall and GW: Eye of the North for 200kr (36 US Dollars), since i already got regular GW.
Guess il try getting some rewards to i can cash in on some items when GW2 releases.

WoW can wait since i dont have any game time on it atm.

GameStop be too busy selling console games to notice. hehe

Its like 3 small shelves containing games, one for new games, one dedicated to blizzard and the bargain shelf, where i found GW. :D

Damn preowned games got more space in that shop.
But sadly its one of the last places to actually find PC games now, unless i check online.

    Also some good news.
When i woke up this morning i had recieve a email from NCSoft sending me my long forgotten login info, so il add the extra keys today, grab some sleep at least 12h before Borderlands playthrough and finally after that il try GW again.

    Please dont be a stressfull day at work. D;
