It hasn't even been 3 hours yet and im still anxious as ><
either way, anyone know about new laptops coming out with a 660m?
-
or the gt 650
-
-
-
How much hope should I have for a GTX 660m laptop by next week?
-
-
Malibal P151HM1 it is. -
-
April 5th is when the NDA lift according to a rep for XoticPC stated so in these forums.
-
-
newb question:wat is NDA
-
-
-
So the GTX 660m will just be slightly better than a 560m? That's disappointing.
-
-
I wouldn't mind it at all if the 660M is only slightly more powerful than 560M especially if the 660M has lower TDP. However someone said that the P151EM lastest BIOS doesn't support 660M.
-
Any sane person will not buy a current model and hope to upgrade to a next gen graphics card. An upgrade is always a bonus.
-
if i do upgrade, i will wait for the 680m or the 780m, unless amd releases a very fast cheap card, that outperforms the nvidia one.
-
hi guys i have a nother link for you but this one's about the new AMD 7990
use google its a swedish site
Radeon HD 7990 ? Specifikationer och klockfrekvenser - Grafikkort - SweClockers.com
Here is a link about the launch of the new Nvidia cards same site

Usually you are only out 5-10% more money anyways for the OC version.. so why not.
I was into overclocking way back in the 90's, but since then, i prefer stability to a few extra FPS. -
i'm actually thinkin about going with some SLI OC'd 680's though because this will be a desktop, and i will probably go with that Corsair Hxx water cooling kit for some extra insurance.
appreciate the info! rep'd -

More of the Kepler puzzle revealed. Now the GT 650M have been tested with 3DMark Vantage, both stock and overclocked
ALL CREDITS GOES TO MIAOS128 FOR THESE BENCHMARKS
Here is the 2GB DDR3 GT 650M at stock tested with 3DMark Vantage

Damn where to get those 650m
-
680 is better than 590 in BF3?
That cannot be right?!!

I just built a buddy a System with 2 7970s Crossfired, (MSI Factory OC'd to 1010mhz, MSI USA ? Graphics Card - R7970-2PMD3GD5/OC ) Its quite a bit faster than the stock 925mhz (they now have a 1070mhz version). It was the same price as stock and those bad boys are SUPER solid.. Fast as can be.
We put a Hex Core i7 in his box and 32gb of Corsair 1866 DDR3, Intel 520 SSD.. he went all out.
Got over 46,000 In 3D Mark Vantage with no Tweeking.. Which is pretty killer IMO. -

7683 GPU score in 3DMark Vantage with stock settings
8437 GPU score in 3DMark Vantage with stable overclocked GPU -
GPU score 8437, did you read my previous post?
-
What about the GDDR5 Version, I thought that was in the q470 Notebook?
From the looks of it the 640m is about 5 to 15% faster than the 555m, while the 555m is stronger in DX9, the 640m owns it in dx11 (like BF3).. The 650m seems to be about 20 to 30% faster than the 555m and about 10% faster than the 640m..
Pretty good for a Mainstream Card and lowend kepler.. but still doesnt reach the 560m -
That score is pretty impressive, considering a 8800Ultra (desktop GPU) scores the same.
Although that's a rather old card it had a 384bit GDDR3 interface with 90GB/s memory bandwidth.
Even with a third of memory bandwidth, this card manages to get the same score!
Realy looking forward for the GT650M GDDR5 version! -
This sends shivers down my spine once I think about the 680m...
btw, anyone heard when the 7970m is coming out? -
The GTX 560M with GDDR5 get a P GPU score of 7802-8096. The GT 650M with DDR3 get 7600 (stock). That is pretty close imo. About 3%-7% below. 650M is already faster than GTX 460M.
I soooo want to see how the GDDR5 version will perform. Anyone want to guess how much you gain from going from DDR3 to GDDR5?
-
right now I'm on my dv5 (with a 9600m GT lol) since 3.5 years, hopefully sooner or later I'll finally be able to play some games at medium/high -
I currently own a notebook with a 555m, still thinking about keeping it or selling it, but I dont think its worth getting a new one for a 5 to 30 percent perfomance increase (depends if 640m or 650m), in FPS the difference isnt that great.. although the dx11 perfomance is quite good
The 650m does look like a good step up, but if there will be 660m notebooks under 15 inches I will be tempted -
Yeah, thats one more piece missing too. Now we have seen GT 650M and GT 640M performance. Time for the 660M to reveal itself
-
-
yes!!!
can all games support multi-monitor setups? would it be better to get 1 or 2 32"-37" monitors or 3 24"-27" monitors? it'll be for pure eye candy and gaming immersion. i won't really have any other use for it.
the only thing i hate is the separation in multi-monitor setups. i need to find a nice seamless bezel and some monitors with thin bezels. geez...where to start? lol -
-
how much will this 11" clevo be?

Thank you very much Perma, that notebook looks awesome!
I would rather want a 13,3-14 inch notebook with exactly the same specs and I would be happy.
I can't believe that finally notebooks are coming around that dont miss out on any of my requirements. -
Well, we will have to see if the numbers are real
Its just unbelievable that such a small notebook has such strong GPU power, the cooling must be unreal or the GPU must be super cool
So lets wait and see if it really is as great as it sounds (because often when things sound too good to be true, they arent true xD)
I mean the 650m with GDDR5 would even surpass the 560m quite a bit (by like 10-15%).. come on! -
My god that is one strong GPU. That is the P result probably right?
GTX 560M get 9230 i P result in 3DMark Vantage. So the GT 650M score 14% better than the freaking GTX card. 35W-40W TDP GT card beating a 75W GTX card
GTX 570M score around 11 000 points in P result with 3DMark Vantage. So WOW, the GT 650M with GDDR5 almost match that.
Is that even possible? Holy crap
Anyone who stil believe that the GTX 660M won`t surpass the GTX 570M? If we see two versions like GTX 460M had, 128 bit and a 192 bit, the 192 bit is going to be a beast. -
That really sounds too good to be true, lets just wait and see, instead of assuming all of this is possible (I would be very happy, because, with a 1080p screen, this would maybe be my next notebook^^) -
I see it is a Clevo notebook that will have the GDDR5 version. If history repeats itself we will have benchmarks and everything out very soon.
Our chinese friends leak out information faster than we can count to 10 lol. Boy this thread would be boring as hell without them -
But the problem is next round you have less people 'leaking' already... The clevo is definitely real.

The Desktop GTX 680 looks pretty darn Strong;
-
Yeah but I'm still kinda disappointed since they boasted 3-4x performance per watt over Fermi :\, it's not even 2x.
HURRAY: Nvidia 600 series not just Fermi!! (Kepler)
