Yeah that is something I don`t understand. I have uploaded video of the same guy playing with his GT70. He clearly have it in his possession. I have posted pictures of Vantage, GPU-Z, even Afterburner logs. You still don`t believe it. Do you have any grudge against foregin countries or something? Why do you only approve reviews from english sources? We should be thankful that these guys leak stuff before the reviewers get theirs![]()

If we did have results, I just can't share them until launch.

Optimus just does not have those issues. -
That is not what I meant either. Let me be even more specific.
Does AMD have worse utilization problems on msi compared to nvidia even after all the driver updates to this day?
Thx in advance. -
Either way I'm done. There's actual samples out there and should have reliable and real world information soon enough. -

LOL I give up. Its a conspiracy HTWingNut. He have photoshopped GPU-Z, used a different GPU on the new GT70 (which only feature GTX780M), The CPU-Z from 4930MX is clearly photoshopped too, even the hardware information here is completely fake.
Time to put the tinfoil hat on HTWingNut. Everything is fake.

Well lots of scientists don't believe in evolution or relativity so I guess there will always people out there who need to get their own hands on things before they believe them. Don't take it personally Cloudfire-- your posts are certainly more interesting to read than pure speculation

Meaker@Sager Company Representative
A tiny fraction of scientists on those

In any case thanks for the persistence and details.
But I guess I'll just have to find out for myself
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
I think you just got served cloud
-
LOL what? No way!!!
That was pretty sneaky. All along on this speculation you were secretely buying and waiting for the 780M. Maybe even benched it a little while laughing at us.
Can`t wait for benches HT. Maybe do a 680M vs 780M review.
Where on earth did you aquire the 780M? I see you got your hands on the new Clevo P177SM -

cant wait for some benches and overclock results!

Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Secretly everyone but cloud has a 780M
-
Yeah how are you getting the drivers to work on it? It's recognizing one 780m but not the sli.
-
off topic: 3 msata ssd's on GT70 looks great)
maaan... may be smbdy have 780M sli system right now, hehe? when you guys are allowed to publish reviews/benches, after June 1st? -
HTWingNut did you photoshop that 780m into your BIOS xd?
-
Photoshop? Nope. That's a true BIOS image.
-
Where did you get your supply and for what price if it's not confidential?
-
you sly little minx... gimme that laptop! cake is NOT a lie, I want cake!!!

he wont tell us where he got it from so im a bit miffed at that. otherwise im just going to pick up a new 780m from prostar once they sell those.
-
Now thats just nasty. Real nasty.
Love the boot up image and the bios edit "THX for the SHOW". Obvious that Prema have a finger in this.
NDA my behind. Who you have NDA with? The reseller? You don`t even have to tell anyone who you bought it from. Just give us some benchmarks to chew on. Please, I`m dying here
EDIT: Its this a lesson in how easy it is to photoshop/edit stuff? Do you really have the P177SM HTWingNut? That GPU-Z could have been pasted in to that screenshot. The BIOS is obviously easy for Prema to change to whatever he likes. I`m suspicious, I need more proof. -
So its compatible.....
Send me the card pleaseeeeeeee.....Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -

There is still something real regarding the 780M in his posts, which essentially confirms that you where right... -
Man, I just came from reading all of it. It was quite fun haha
I am not that concerned about performance. I already know it will be faster than my 680m, and I had no complaints with mine! I am more interested in the new features like multi monitor support etc. -
LOL well done Prema and HTWingNut. It made me laugh.
3740QM on the Haswell P177SM doesn`t seem right either when I look at the BIOS now.
Not sure whats hidden though. hmmm. Damn Yoda and his riddles -
-
You'll need your 3D glasses for this one...
It was just an old man lesson to Cloudfire that things are not always what they seem...
-
Sneaky old man
Just got a message from someone. There was indeed something hidden in the information from HT and Prema. Bah confused. -
Thx. And can we know that maxwell will be compatible with this generation laptops or not?
-
-
I bet it won't be.

Whilst not Nvidia 780m related, here is official news for it's competitor, launched Today - the officially rebranded 8970m, that is
AnandTech | AMD Launches Radeon HD 8970M -
That played out well, HT. I knew it was fake the moment you posted. The way you worded your comment seemed to be to prove a point, rather than to show off a product.
Good one! -

Yup!
- I guess AMD fans will have to wait for a possible 8990m to keep up...
Good old notebookcheck says this about the 8970m:
-
Anyway looking forward to see upcoming 8990m -
steviejones133 Notebook Nobel Laureate
^^^^ True enough - cost will probably be substantially lower than the 780m, but it's basically like paying for a 7970m all over again...if you were coming from 7970m's, hoping for big things.
-
TheBlackIdentity Notebook Evangelist
2. When was the last time enthusiast cared about the price? Performance is what matters.
3. The 8970m is over 800 bucks on Ebay right now.
4. If the overclock potential is really as high as the pics cloud posted suggest than the 780m is more than worth 850 bucks which is the rumored price.
5. Cfx works like ****. Horrible micro stutter and tons of fake frames. Not that single AMD cards do much better mind you. lol
6. A single 780m will provide a much better user experience than 8970m cfx setup and will put out similar framerates when overclocked. Pair that with the vastly superior frametimes and you're getting much better value.
Face it. AMD has been destroyed this round. I'm starting to think the whole GCN arch is broken seeing as how they weren't able to fix their stuttering problems for one and a half year now. They've been promising to fix their memory controlling software for months.
AMD fans: Waiting and waiting and waiting.....1.5years later.....and waiting and waiting for proper drivers......still waiting.
Nvidia: Works as it should right away and only improves with new drivers.
We'll see what Pirate island can do. Until than AMD isn't worth a dime. You just need to look at the frametime tests to see that.
Here's what you can expect from the 8970m:
AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition vs. Nvidia GeForce GTX 660: frametimes review - Far Cry 3 | Hardware.Info United Kingdom
AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition vs. Nvidia GeForce GTX 660: frametimes review - Hitman: Absolution | Hardware.Info United Kingdom
Look at all those red spikes!
Nvidia is expensive for a reason. They actually spend money on driver development.
This is gonna stir up so much hate from the AMD fanboys. It's gonna be hilarious. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Lets not compare pre-release prices and go silly now
AMD know about the frame time issue now, they are making strides to fix that now. It will be interesting to take a fresh look at all of this once the 780M launches.
I`m upgrading, are you? (GTX 780M review inside)
