I just bought Half Life 1. for less than 3 euros! Last week I wanted to get it, but 8 euros was a little too much for this old game.

Yea, COD:WaW isn't something to really fret about. It's a decent game, but not worth spending lots of money on, especially if you have COD4.

I'm thinking about getting half life 1 anthology, because I never played it, have the orange box and its only $5

But I wished they would put CS:S or L4D on offer just once more :(
Missed the massive $5 L4D offer last year

Also I'd like to point out that (apparently) for this 66% stuff you can buy individual games, you don't just have to buy packages :)

A better deal for Half-Life than this one? I don't remember it being cheaper than it is now.

L4D and CS:S are not Half-Life games. Sure, they're based off the Source engine, but that doesn't make them Half-Life games. A Half-Life game is any game with "Half-Life" in the title (see list in first post).

On November 19th, the 10th anniversary of Half-Life, they had it for 98 cents, and last Christmas they had Blue Shift and Opposing Force for 99 cents apiece. So it's not the lowest ever, but it's still a very good deal, and I doubt it'll be matched again soon. Maybe in November of 2014 or November 2019. I picked up the original Half-Life's at those times for $2.95, and am strongly considering picking up Half-Life 2 at this point.

Only problem is it would put me a tad ahead of the five-year lag. But I doubt the price would fall by November, and Lost Coast plays fine on my system, so there's no need to upgrade for graphics, so I guess it's okay to buy after 4.75 years.

BTW, HL2: Deathmatch is free for ATI/NVIDIA card owners (see the Ongoing Deals at the front of this thread), so unless you're stuck with a Matrox Parhelia, you probably don't want to shell out the $1.69 for it.

Does anyone think it is fun?

I picked up 1701 and Osmos the other day and tried them both out for a bit. 1701 feels like a cross between Civilization and SimCity almost. Not bad... not great, but not bad. Sort of the same addictive quality of those two. You end up playing for longer than you realize and you are not sure why! ;)

Osmos is a pretty cool little game. It has me totally stuck at the moment though!

I used to play Stronghold SO MUCH which was a city building game with a bit more war aspect to it than 1701 AD, but 1701 AD has more trade and a bit more depth to the economy. I did not know games like this existed anymore and I LOVE 1701! I picked it up this weekend on the sale and have played the absolute **** out of it. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

    $75 weekend deal = pass.

I already bought my games for this week actually. Gamersgate has 40% off the Gothic Series. $18 for Gothic 1-3? Yes please. It was the first thing I have bought from them... only thing I don't like is the slow download speed I get from them, it's no more than 100 kb/s :(

Liking the look of the German show related 'Alarm for Cobra 11: Burning Wheels' (known as Crash Time 2 in the UK/US).

Might pick it up as it doesn't look too bad for under £20; Anybody else tried it?

    Quick question...

Steam weekend sales: When do they officially end? Sunday night at midnight, Greenwich Mean Time? Sunday night at midnight, US Pacific time (where Valve HQ located)? Monday at noon?

I'm debating purchasing SF4...have it on the 360...but I would like a portable version...just not sure my laptop can run it as well as the 360 so I need to do some digging...is there a demo?

    Thanks.

There is no demo, but a benchmark tool. Relatively accurate I believe. You want to play it on the XPS? Probably be okay, maybe not at stock resolution... I haven't played it yet though. Just heard it played pretty smooth.

    http://www.gamershell.com/download_47126.shtml

BTW, I don't know if they have an "official" time they stop the weekend deals. I am Central Time, well -6, it's 9:41pm here. I believe it usually lasts Sunday night, sometimes I still see it Monday morning, sometimes it's still there Monday afternoon. Not always though.
