I might buy it just for the comedy value.

 

This week Unreal tournament 3 is comming for free, I kid you not. You can download the game for free on the weekend but it expires the end of the weekend sunday night a 12. So basically you get a free TRAIL of the FULL unreal tournament game.

 

Just looking at games and i saw that UT3 says

"FREE WEEKEND! All you need is a free Steam account to play the full version of UT3 Black this weekend."

it also has 40% off til the 15th March

 

A big new patch is being released for UT3, so this is to coincide with that. I'll give it a shot Thanks for the heads up on this.

I saw this when i opened my steam. It showed up as a gift...i was like someone sent me the game for free? oh wow! and then i realized it was just a trial and stopped the download.

Oh and its against the rules to ask for rep. You should remove that.

I LOVED Unreal tournament 2, but the demo of 3 didn't impress me. I'll check it out again, good find!

 

It blows.

Not because the gameplay isn't fun, it's a ton of fun.

What is not fun is that you spawn and 3 seconds later, before you can pick up a gun other than your stock weapons, somebody who's really good and has an overpowered weapon kills you. It's a bad design because you can spawn right in front of somebody and you're basically ****ed because there's no spawn protection.

All that said, it's fun, and it's cheap, so buy it.

I have UT3 (non steam) it's funny, UT3 shows up in my games list and in my download list now.

 

I saw this before, their servers are taking a beating. It took a while for the DL to start, and it cuts out every now and then. I usually DL at ~750kb/s but this is more like ~40kb/s.

 

Awesome deal! Well actually UT3 was only $9.99 during new years, but this is still a pretty nice deal to actually be able to play the whole game before you buy it! This probably counts as the weekend deal though, funny it's going to go for 10 days though.

 

It's on the "Read before posting" sticky. As much as I'd love to make it a sticky, there are already a bunch of Gaming stickies, and we don't want to make it too cluttered. Heck, the GPU guide isn't even stickied, it's just in the main sticky.

I still play once in a while to try and get the OCD's.

 

yeah its called "Titan" i think that it adds a new Mutator (sp) called Titan a new vehicle and i think some more apps but im not too sure about that

hey anyone dled UT3 yet? mines DLing so slow and at times it stops and starts again.

 

is this thing worth the download?! I just checked and its 8 gigs that a HUGE game....what do you guys think? I have a fast connection i could download this in less the 2 hours.

UT3 seem pretty well optimised for the PC
On my G50 I get and average of 40FPS and the lowest of around 35 when I get hit with a rocket launcher xD

 

i keep trying to download the game, i havent stopped since it came up and have still not managed to download it, i want to try it before i buy it but it keeps saying that the servers are too busy

 

Find a demo on Fileplanet or something and play with bots.

 

world of goo is actually a very good puzzle game. Been playing the demo for over an hour and its pretty challenging/fun puzzle with nice music. Debating whether to buy it since it's only $5, but I may not play it much even though it's a great game. At least try the demo to see what i mean. I know it's only a puzzle game, but it's still fun and has nice physics.

 

Demo? Hm im gonna download that as soon as i get home. I know the one on the wii was rated really high as well

 

lol, man for $5 bucks, what are you guys waiting for? IMO the game was easily worth $20. $5 is a steal

 

At a minimum, I go to a movie or big dinner night out a week. This costs less than that, so I figure there's no real reason not to get it.

You can't even buy a rum and coke for less than this.

 

finally beat the demo. The demo was basically Chapter 1 and it was pretty good. I looked on some of the other levels on youtube, and they look insane! Still not sure whether I'd want to buy it. It's definitely worth more than $5, but I can see myself never playing this, but letting other people play it. Anyways, if you're considering to buy this, it's pretty good game that's definitely worth your money (especially if you like puzzles).

 

I ended up buying the whole Unreal pack from Steam. For $40, it included the original Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition, as well as Unreal II: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Unreal Tournament 3. I've been having quite some fun with these, they're all classics, and I enjoyed every one of them years ago. It would have been nice of them to include Unreal Tournament 2003, though...

And since when is 8GB a huge game? That's pretty much the same amount of hard drive space any new game will take up. Heck, some are bigger. GTA IV took up 16GB, as did Far Cry 2.

 

for some reason, I can't find where to download and install unreal tournament 3. When I click Play UT3, nothing happens in the steam browser. It also doesn't show up on my game Not Installed list.

 

Yea im having trouble getting unreal as well, I wanna see how well it runs on my system before i buy it.
