I duno if the option is still available but I saw that they had listed those games at 75% off a piece so if you didn't want one or only wanted one or two, could save a few bucks. Like dirt2 for $9.99

Hello everyone.
I'm from Russia, and I just want to buy a Rockstar Collection, but it's seems that "this item is currently unavailable in my region".
Could anyone please buy it for me as a gift. I'll paypall you, of course.
I'll be very grateful. -
GTA San andreas is back again for $5 til 10pm pst, probably the last time it'll be on sale for a while (c'mon gta IV go on sale again)
-
BenLeonheart walk in see this wat do?
I cant make up my mind between Grid and DiRT 2...
Pros/Cons each?
I really lke the muscle cars in Grid...
but...
inputs, PLEASE? -
DiRT and DiRT 2 are Rally racing which I prefer. I find racing games/sims too tedious because of the precision required in controlling even in basic levels. I don't have that problem with rally-style racing even in advanced levels (not expert though).
-
GTA IV is back on sale for $7.50
-
Anybody, please help me to buy Rockstar Collection.
Only one day left. -
aleksey are you out of region? I would be willing to help but I would need payment first so I could purchase it and gift it.. Preferably via paypal.. not sure if you can pm yet.. but let me know
-
aznguyen316, thank you for answer, but I've already buy this pack.
Thanks anyway. -
Looks like Steam is doing it again:

Well #$%@ ! I was hoping they'd have something interesting on sale for the weekend since they skipped the midweek sale but nooooooo, gotta try to push Modern Warfare 2 again for some reason. And of course that means it will be the only game on sale.
-
I've been too busy to update the thread as usual, so I just added in some images and links for now. Sorry for the slow updates, thanks for keeping the thread alive.

SWEET NEW OFFER
To celebrate their release of Steam on Mac, Valve is giving away portal for free to all members until the 24th.
I think its permanent but I'm not 100% sure since I already have it -
No, it's only free til 24th. Which is plenty of time to finish Portal.
Edit:
NVM, it seems like it's free if you get it now, after 24th, you still get to keep it.

OK
Thanks for clarifying -

Act now to get your free copy of Portal by Valve before May 24th. Those who grab a free copy before the 24th will be allowed to keep the game forever free of charge!
Portal is FREE!
EDIT: As long as you get your copy before May 24th it's FREE FOREVER!!! -

Awesome. Gotta love freebies!
-
arg. beat me to it!
-
haha +1 beat me too it
Oddly enough the page displays blank for me, I had to view source and that's when I thought I discovered some uber top-secret like GLaDOS, until I came here. -
argh you beat me too
-
What I don't get is the terms of "freedom". At first I thought there were merely joking about the deadline... so what happens on the 24th? The game becomes unfree again?
If that's the case, it's very stupid on their part IMO, it merely encourages people to hoarde hundreds of Steam accounts with "free" Portals. -
yea.. expect to see tons of "Steam account with portal installed" on ebay haha
-
Check your infos

I'm sure there are many other venues. I just think the person who thought up making it free until a certain date while placing no restrictions on the number of accounts you can have needs to not have a job anymore. Either that or he should be forced to do menial tasks given to him by their database engineer.
-
Already got Portal when Orange Box first got out for PC, but my little brother loves Portal, abd he doesent have it on his account.
THis is the perfect time for him to stop using my account. haha
So thanks for the share. -

The person who thought this up should probably be getting a huge bonus. How many more people will install the Steam client now, and be exposed to all the sales and other games? -
^it's true.. portal is widely popular or known already anyway, who would want a used account anyway with JUST portal?
I got my Bro with a mac to download and install steam/portal. Bam potential there! He never used steam before that, just played the orange box on 360. -
Anyways, I think Masterchief is probably correct. Although I'm sure this can and will happen, probably Valve has calculated that sales gained by Mac fans who missed the sale will probably outnumber sales lost through "3rd-party" resellers. -
^ the problem would be selling these steam accounts. ebay won't allow it, although sure some get through, you really have to push yourself through forums etc to sell it and even then you're getting a used account for Portal.. I mean.. it's just portal lol, no worries here IMO.
-
Yes, this is by far an excellent piece of marketing for Valve and their Steam service. People love free stuff, and I'd imagine new customers who never bothered installing it onto their system before is much more valuable than the lack of sales from a game for a weekend.
-
I searched multiple times, but it appears all free portal threads on this forum have disappeared. Please forgive me (and lock this thread) if this has already been posted. (Either way, its worth reposting
)
To celebrate their release of Steam on Mac, Valve is giving away portal for free to all members until the 24th. As long as you register it to your account before the 24th, it is free forever (you don't have to download it right away). -
You lie... I do not see this so called "Free" Portal unless by "Free" you mean "$29.99"
EDIT: Well I was wrong.... here is the link:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/400 -
To take advantage of the offer, go to the Steam store homepage, on your right hand side you'll see Play Portal for Free, click on the link and it will take you to a page with a big red button (love big red buttons) and click it. Sign into Steam and it will be added to your game list and you get to keep it and re download it when ever you want (you OWN it now).
Again, this offer is only good until May 24th, 2010.
D. -
might want to move this to the gaming subforum.
-
You won't find a thread because the moderators have moved them all to the "Steam Deals" thread.
-
Well, I have a feeling more people will see it in the Game forum. -
That thread is only a few positions below this one. It's still in the gaming forum.
-
wait, so you guys meant that portal is free for a limited time- till 24th may or portal is free for life?
-
Portal is free for life if you sign up for Steam and get it before May 24th
-
I would get it apart from the fact you have to install Steam. Just more Adware.
-
Each to their own though, I suppose.
I may as well get it. Particularly since it's free.
EDIT: Steam servers are all over the place, my connection seems to be going mad.
Is it just me, or is Steam a bit off when it comes to telling me the download speeds, and how much I have downloaded? I have two different download speed readings on two different counters... -
stop moving these threads to steam deals cz nobody checks steam deals page anyway.
thanks OP, i would've missed this great deal if you hadn't posted it, despite the fact that it's been posted on steam deals thread like a thousand times. -

Well I finally found a reason to join Steam. Free game. If I like it I may start buying all my games digitally.
