Woo just bought Oblivion. Have it on the 360 and've completed all the guilds n' all, but got bored of the main questline.

Might be easier with a mouse and keyboard ;) Can't wait to check out the DLC stuff included too.

There are soo many mods. It's so confusing.

there is a lot more to do than the main questline. I finished that up in like I dunno 10-15 hours and then just did all the guilds and tons of other things. I suggest trying to get the poop mod which is a lot of added stuff and mods that help the overall experience. It's an all in one pkg which is nice.

I'll do it all on the laptop now, justt...400mb left. Finally! Been downloading for 5hours.

I am not sure this is a Steam Deal since it's been this price for a while.

But Jericho is $4.99 and bought it myself. This is a great game and incredibly underrated.

It's a shame that Crysis is only 32 bit through Steam, they really ought to update Steam for current and future 64 bit games. It's inevitable might as well be a step ahead.

^ very true although I haven't had a problem playing it on my M11x. I figure though the 64-bit would perform slightly better.. and anything helps!

Yeah, I got the Crysis Maximum edition pack back then too. Best $13 on games I ever spent. Still, there's a buddy of mine I know that has been waiting for a Crysis sale... Some long Crysis Wars nights await me.

I'd stay away from the Cysis packages Steam is currently offering. They come with 3rd Party DRM (SecuRom) that only allows for 5 total installs with no possible way of resets. I almost jumped on the deal until I saw that.

Anyway, here is the remaining EA Week lineup on Steam:

    Monday: Crysis
    Tuesday: Military (Battlefield) Day
    Wednesday: Command & Conquer
Thursday: Racing Day (Need For Speed, Burnout)
Friday: Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Spore
    Saturday: Mass Effect
    Sunday: Dragon Age

Personally, I am having a hard time deciding what to buy this week, but Mass Effect on Saturday seems to be my first choice.

Crysis and Crysis Warhead is enticing for only 19.99 - Good way to stress the system that's for sure.

I believe you can revoke some installations from that DRM.

    EA Game Authorization Management Tool

Go to this site for revoking installations before uninstalling them

This would be true if this were EA's DRM, but it is 3rd party. There is no way to revoke/reset installations.

32-bit only for Crysis on Steam? Is that "permanent" or is it possible for Steam to release an update that allows for 64-bit?

Disagree. Crysis and Warhead are one of the few games that run nicely in x64 and it's worth it. Steam pile of poo is x86 only, which means no x64 games.

I bought Crysis Maximum Edition on Steam while it was $20, and here's what I've found with regards to 32-bit and 64-bit versions:

Firstly, the original Crysis doesn't come with a Bin64 folder, while Wars and Warhead do. These 64-bit versions seem to work fine, too. However, I have found that launching Warhead via Crysis.exe in Bin64 launches the 32-bit version instead, while launching Crysis64.exe seems to work fine. This is a little weird, because I've heard it reported that this doesn't work.

In addition, I've found that if you add the proper Bin64 from the retail version of Crysis to the installation of the original Crysis, you will be able to run 64-bit also.

^ well that makes it easy.. thanks for that note lackofcheese. So if I want to play crysis in 64bit on my steam, just extract the bin64, gotcha.

You're not supposed to talk about illegal activities in these forums, so you might want to edit your post. My post was very carefully worded with that in mind.

Also, I had to swap the Bin64 and Bin32 folders in the original Crysis for 64-bit to work (I know it's 64-bit that's running because Task Manager says its Crysis64.exe and doesn't have the *32 label. I'm not entirely sure why this is necessary, but I'm guessing it's some kind of authentication issue.

Could you also give a first impression as to the gameplay for those of us who have never played any racing games on the PC? And does it feel adequate to play it with just a mouse and keyboard?

    Cheers :)

well it's very arcadey, but i like it. i played it a bit when it first came out and i liked it then, theres lots of variety with different types of races and you can create 'party' with mates to crash around the city with, and the city's big :)

with regards to keyboard i don't think any racing game should be played with it, but i played it 2 years ago on it and it was fine.
a good buy for the price...

Is Mirror's Edge recommended, even if you've got ATI cards? I'm planning on getting a M17x-R2 with Xfire 5870s but don't want to miss a good sale now if the game is still decent without PhysX.

Have to say I simply love these Steam deals. :)
