    Email update == Cheating ;)

    Looking forward to playing it.

    NEW STEAM DEALS:
    Mass Effect $4.99
    Mass Effect 2 $23.99
Mass Effect 2 Deluxe Edition $35.99

    Hmmm. Deluxe Edition is tempting.

Couldn't you have someone gift it to you and then pay them through paypal for it?

Picked up Mass Effect 1 for $4.99, that was a no brainer. But the ME2 deals weren't near as tempting. I'll play ME1 all the way through first before, and hopefully ME2 goes on sale, even if its at Christmas time.

Yup, this is what I did. ME2 is pretty tempting, but I already bought Bad Company 2 this week, and I don't really want to spend $61 on games in one week. :p

I picked up mirrors edge for 5$ and I love it. The graphics look amazing on my new laptop, even without physx. I might as well pick up Mass Effect 1 for 5$ to give me something to do after I finish mirrors edge.

Heh, picked ME 1+2(Deluxe Edition) off of this deal. I played a bit of ME1 a while back and have recently been craving another go at it. 40% off isn't as high as it may go later, but heck, I'll take it over full.

I'm really liking the deals this week. The other ones I picked up were Mirror's Edge and Burnout. It's a good week :p

I've got Crysis Complete, BF:BC2, Burnout Paradise, ME1, and ME2 (non-deluxe) so far, and I've got a feeling they might get more money out of me half an hour from now.

    no.

but you get the worst ME1 ending if you go straight into ME2.

luckily there are saved games for ME1 to import on the internet somewhere

Can someone help me here? I downloaded ME1 and can't get it to run. Yes, I run it as "administrator" but I get this error.

If my best option is reinstalling, do I have to download it again? That took several hours.

Before re-installing (actually re-downloading) try to check the steam forums and see if someone else has faced such problem. There may be a solution there.

No luck searching, and I'm still waiting for my forum acct to get activated by an admin before I can post there (which is why I tried asking here instead). I can get ME to launch from digging into the program files, it shows my product key in settings (which I thought might be the problem). But I still can't get it to Play.

EDIT: I gave up, uninstalled it through Steam and am now re-downloading it. What a pain.

Since no one's posted them, here's today's deals:

Dragon Age Origins -33% to $26.79
Dragon Age Awakening -25% to $29.99
Dragon Age Origins Deluxe Ed. -33% to $33.49

    Combo packs available:
Regular Pack with Origins + Awakening = $47.99
Deluxe Pack with Origins Deluxe + Awakening = $53.99

I am severely disappointed by these reductions. I guess expecting -50% off a year old game is too much to ask. Well, I've bought Burnout, Mirror's Edge, and Mass Effect 2 Deluxe over the sales so I'm satisfied until the winter break. ;) Or until Starcraft 2 and Fallout New Vegas.

Agreed. I'm holding off on getting Dragon Age Origins until a better comes along. I don't have the comp to play it right now anyway. If it was between $20-25 I was going to bite, the closer it got to $25 (and more) I was going to hesitate. I could get it $30 used for ps3.

I picked up ME and ME2 - even though I've played ME already on someone's xbox360. ME2 digital deluxe ed- didn't pick that one coz soundtrack and comic book in softcopy (sic, work term) aren't really worth the extra...since I haven't heard the soundtrack. Their exclusive in-game items don't really seem worth it to me.

DA Origins dig deluxe edition and Awakening. Yes to DDE coz it at least has an extra adventure. FYI, I would not have bought the DDE at full price.

noticed that someone elsewhere mentioned that.

not sure what's up. I think the latest update crashed a lot of the servers (they need to be reset to use the new stuff or something)

Everyone knows that Crysis on Steam does not have the 64-bit version. Is this true for ALL games on Steam? Meaning, you only get the 32-bit version of that game?

Thanks... King's Bounty sounds familiar, a long time ago I think there was a game with the same name. It was about raising armies and conquering castles. I remember the last one was full of dragons. Perhaps I will buy the whole set...

    Why Steam! Why!

got my eye on a big spending spree at the moment with these my target :

    Bioshock or Bioshock 2 - cant decide between the 2 Bioshock 2 : £9.99
    THQ Complete Pack £26.49 (20games)
Square Enix Pack £67.49 (30 games)

where else can you buy 50+ games for under £100?

EDIT : the Codemasters pack looks sweet as well : Dirt, Dirt 2, Fuel and Grid all for just £16 - crazy!
and add Overlord pack, cant beat that price!

Ugg, I have been spending WAY too much money on Steam games this past month...ok...year. I'm only gunna pay attention to the "Today Only" Specials as those seem to be the most heavily discounted. I already have Dirt2 so today I will be picking up BioShock2 fore sure.

    Quick Question

Apparently Dirt 2 has GFWL, and this isn't supported in my country
Now my question is will this prevent me from playing single player also, or just the multiplayer part

I will most likely not be getting this due to retarded restrictions that prevent me from playing, but I would like to know just in case

I got the Overlord Pack, the Jedi Knight Pack, and Witcher Enhanced

A lot of the larger packs were tempting but I own several titles in the packages so its not as good of a deal for me.

I own all the Jedi Knights already but I like having an easy to access digital version so I kinda re bought those.

I'm holding off on some things until the daily deals are all through (mainly since I don't wanna buy something and suddenly have it become cheaper).

The Witcher for $6.70 and the introvision pack for $5 are a steal though
