Heck, I have the 9800m GT and have that issue. I bought it back when it was $7.50 during the Christmas sales but haven't put much time into it because of the choppiness. Or rather, the choppiness at the higher graphic settings. I just can't play a game like that without shadows and the like; for me it detracts substantially from the game. Ah well. I did pick up Street Fighter IV off of this one, though.

Shatter and Torchlight seem like good pickups. I would pick up Mass Effect 2, but for $23, no thanks.
-
I'm wondering, let's say I want to buy Mass Effect 2. It's $23.99. I live in Canada, and when I buy games from stores, I pay a tax. Is the price on Steam including tax, or will they charge me the tax after that price? Anyone in Canada have any experience?
-
Patience pays off with Steam.
-
I've bought enough games via steam with paypal to safely tell you there is no tax charged. Can't say about buying with a CC, but I don't see why it'd be any different.
Another day of meh deals too :/ -
-
Shatter is a must buy!

Just got shatter since you recommended it, my favorite game on Atari in the day was Breakout
Also do not know if its part of the current sales but I saw defense grid is 50% off so its $5.00 and that is a game I wanted for a while. TD is a lot of fun and DG can hold me over till SC2 comes out. -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
i might buy 1 more pack, that being the Square Enix and Edios pack - some really nice games in there and a few others that i wouldnt mind playing either
getting into Metro at the moment, dam i am REALLY liking it, hearing all the stories about it i was kinda nervous if it would be any good but so far i am loving it -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
59 games! thats like £2 a game - that is some crazy deal! -
Grabbing Torchlight for sure
Missed it twice, saw a friend playing it (dirty pirate -__-), so I am going to get this for sure
Never played any dungeon crawlers but its gotten nothing but positive reviews
Just looked at shatter
OMG - I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE BRICK BREAKER GAMES
And this looks good, I used to play arkanoid so much on this controller that plugged directly into the tv back in the good old days
Must buy also, and 2.50 is literally stealing from the devs, from what I see of the gameplay vids
2 games I will pick up
I love valve's sense of humor
-
-
I know me too
I could hear it in that voice -
RaYYaN did you finally get that paypal account ?
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
Yeah i love the quotes as well
REALLY hoping that they dont do any more good deals, My wallet hurts -
-
I'll probably make a paypal account once I go to uni
And yeah, I'm also hoping for a deal on Arkham Asylum, the demo was great -
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
i got that, part of the Square Enix pack
seems unlikely to me
-
-
I bought torchlight and I am loving it. I would recommend people thinking about it to pick it up now while it is still on sale for the next hour.

Just convinced my dad to let me use his card
Grabbed Torchlight, with 30 mins to go
Seems no one in the Middle East is using steam, since I'm going at full speed -

I think I might pick up Tropico 3 and X3. Has anyone played these games?
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
Bioshock is tempting, wish they had Bioshock 2 up on sale as well
-
I've never played Bioshock (I or II) so I am thinking about it... even though the RPG word in the description turns me off.
-
Bioshock 2 was on sale on the first day of the Summer Sale.
I am grabbing $5 Bioshock, and gunna grab Madballs (possibly the 4-pack for $5.99 so I can be done with X-mas shopping!!) -
Ahhh Dragon Age: Origins 40% off. Damn you steam and your ability to easily steal my money !!
What I would really like to see though, is a Modern Warfare 2 sale... wonder what those odds are -
I'm also debating it. Already beat it on a console, and wasn't blow away by the story. Are the GFX on PC worth it, or is it starting to show its age? -
-
I guess I'll pick up tropico, but it'll be stuck in queue for a bit... I still haven't even finished downloading some of the stuff bought this week, let alone played it. -
I played BioShock in my *cough* not so legit *cough* days
Great game, been looking for it but had no luck locally
It was on sale a few months back but unavailable in my region
Seems the restriction has been lifted and I can now buy it -
I'm a left-handed mouse user (but I'm right handed ... I know ... I'm weird) and therefore I don't use the common WASD controls, and normally use IJKL.
Bioshock wouldn't let my change the keys -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
think i might consider getting Bioshock, there mods of it? unlikely but would be great if you could mod it
-
I picked up Shatter for $2.50 and it's a very cool version of Pong. I'm also contemplating Left 4 Dead GOY for under $7. I recently picked up L4D2 for $10 when it was on sale.
-
I been wanting to get The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, now would be a great time. I have not been eating lunch this whole week at work just to save money on these steam sales.

nvm I got it sorted

Titan Quest pack and Dragon Age, woot!

Puzzle Kingdoms $1.00 lol so I got it, heard good things about it before.
Also Bionic Commando Rearmed $6.50 have no idea if its good or not, I watched the trailer for it and it hooked me and so I bought it on impulse since I loved that game back in the day as a kid. -
IDK about Bionic Commando Rearmed but I did enjoy the original back in the NES days...
Also on a side note my B-day is this week and I'm really treating myself this year. So far I got L4D2 and Bioshock for a wopping grand total of like $15and I can wait to see what else pops up in the next few days.... Now if I could just get some time to play
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
finally installed Just Cause 2, Max settings on EVERYTHING max res as well 2xxx by 15xx forget exact numbers
and it runs PERFECT! Good so far, tried one of the take over missions and the AI is beyond poor - who the hell just stands there and allows them selves to get shot and die?
I have it on hardest level difficulty as well, which is good so far good - hoping that that poor AI doesnt continue
VERY tempted by Borderlands and DLC for a total of like £12 - but heard both good things and bad things about it so not too sure -
Today 7/2 Steam Perils of Summer Deals:
Crysis $14.99
The Bionic Commando Pack $11.24
Beat Hazard $2.49
Day of Defeat $1.24
Half-Life 2 $3.39
Max and the Magic Marker $5.00
Star Wars Empire at War Gold Pack $4.99
Borderland $10.19
Prototype $14.99
Saints Row 2 $7.49
