So Mount & Blade Warband is discounted to $14.99 right now; I'm sorely tempted to buy it. I bought the original way back when it was still an "investment in a future release" sort of thing. Has anyone tried out this latest version? For that matter, has anyone seen it discounted even further than $14.99 on Steam before?

I don't think warband has ever been cheaper than $14.99. I've not played either, but I've heard that warband is the one to get cos of the multiplayer, which is apparently excellent.

Hmmm... that's a nice price drop. From the trailers it looks pretty awesome. Drop another $10 to $15 and I'll pick it up. I'm thinking a random sale can't be that far away.

I think it will happen :) I will never doubt the power of Steam to do sales after the last Christmas sale. We just need another one this coming Christmas and I think we will see at least a $14.99 BC2. I don't mind the wait.

30 is actually a great price seeing as it was 60 at launch and great from what my friends with ps3s tell me

A bit much for me ATM, but if it dropped to say 20-25 in a weekend sale or so, I would get it in a snap

I remember buying TF2 for $2.50 during their October event (2nd or the 3rd) but that's a Valve game. I'm not sure if we'll get that crazy price for any other brands.

That is an awesome deal for Oblivion. If there's anyone here who doesn't have it, scoop up the Deluxe edition with all the DLC for $8.50, it's totally worth it.

I have been looking at this for a bit. However, I know I will never play anything other than the main 2 expansions that are included in the GOTY edition. Might get that for 6.50 and put the $2 towards the next day's sale :D :D :D

The only thing is that I'm not too big on open-world type RPGs, haven't even bought Fallout 3 for this reason.

Still $6 is insane, and I might get it just to add to my collection ;)

It should run fine, but you might have to lower the settings or lower the resolution...

You can get more opinions by posting in the sticky thread:

I have a retail (DVD) version of Borderlands, but I'm annoyed by having to insert the disc every time I want to play it. Hmm. I'll think about that one. I could always sell it to my friend, after all.

Since Kwad didn't put the link up, here it is.

i got the $8.50 oblvion deal and ended up spending over 120 hrs in the game. i generally do not like hack and slash--but there is just so much to do in the game.

i bit on the borderlands deal and am downloading now. i have been waiting for such a deal.

i wait for steam deals for games i have been on the fence to buy.
