Assassin's Creed is worth $10, it's repetitive but fun.

I had much more fun the 2nd time around once I learned how to ninja stab people. I'll give the new players a tip: Use the "High Profile" button to run around the city, then the moment before you run into a guard, take off the button to go low profile and hit stab with the hidden blade. You'll do a stomach stab instant kill and they'll stand there then fall, you can get away with it in crowded cities and even with other guards watching you. If you do it from behind, you backstab and cover their mouth with your hand.

Hitting it with high profile you do the leaping neck stab which is far from inconspicuous.

Yea, I've been considering getting this. I played it a little on the PS3 at a friend's house and it was definitely fun, but I can see how it would get repetitive.

However, I definitely feel like I'd be getting $10 of fun :)

It has a fairly high replay value because for as much of the game is the same, the textures are absolutely fantastic (You can and should force AF in your GPU control panel) and it's just plain fun to go around stabbing guards and soldiers.

I bought Garry's Mod a few years ago, and if I had a decent internet connection out here, I'd d/l more of this good deal stuff, but, sadly, I think Assassin's Creed might take over 9000 days just to complete.

Im thinking of getting left 4 dead. the game does not look too fun to me esp 1 player but multi sounds fun since you have different character types. that adds some variety to your usual fps game.

I saw it for $50 though, it needs to drop down to $25 or so.

The game is definitely worth at least that. Perhaps not the original $60, for a game that (I would never) didn't have much replay value. But, for $10 it's worth it.

    What's the file size crash?

@Vicious - I wouldn't recommend buying it at any price above $25. It's great with friends, but it's entertainment value dwindles, especially on the 360 with only two versus (c'mon really?) levels. Alone, it's probably a very boring experience.

Yea I agree $50 is too much. It's a very fun multiplayer game, but with only 4 levels and only 2 of them for versus, $50 is too much. Hopefully either there will be another sale or they will have some DLC for it.

Yeah, $25 for Prince of Persia.... think it's worth it? It's almost the same idea as Assassin's Creed, all about the graphics, with easy and repetitive gameplay.. as far as I can tell from the reviews.

Are the graphics worth $25 for the easiest game of last year?

is it really easy? If so then thats gonna suck, i think this is cooler then assasins creed IMO. I LOVE cel-shaded there was always a debate about that in video games i think Cel-shaded games have something about it that makes in different then anything else out there.

Also is this game is a remake of Prince Persia or a new world or what?..... :D

$10 was worth it for Assassin's Creed.

However, I would pass on PoP for $25.

IMO, It isn't THAT good of a game. It'll probably be on sale for $10 before the end of the year--I'd wait for that.

Guys, if I may say, DO NOT GET Prince of Persia. It is by far the most disappointing game I've played this year. You can't die, there is no difficulty setting, there is barely a story, you fight about 17 times during the game, and it's really short. The graphics are really amazing, but the devs force you to look at it by having you collect some pointless blue orbs around the map like if you were sonic in the sega games. It is nothing like the previous ones and this one is just a simple game for noobs where everything is done for you and there is NO but I mean ABSOLUTELY NO challenge. I'm just warning you guys :D

Yeah that's what I read in reviews... super easy since there is absolutely no death or penalty for anything.

Here's looking at tomorrow. I'm hoping for either Far Cry 2 or Lost Via Domus :D

I had brother in arms for the original Xbox(i dont even remember what its called :D) It was pretty sweet and had great realism it was interesting too because in this game it had a mix of full spectrum warrior in it.

You can command like 5 guys to go wherever you want them too, it was like a strategic war FPS i wonder if they changed it. I just cat help but feel that Friday is gonna have the best deal :)

    But good find!

I was expecting to be broke by this weekend, but so far my credit card still doesn't have any charges related with Ubisoft and Steam :p

Well I was going to get this game eventually just waited for the price to drop. Yea im still debating because I like using steam for my games. Since I change laptop all I have to do is redownload all of my stuff instead go and find the cd. I have until the end of today to decide, plus I still have to pay off my credit card bills and I hate to add more onto it...

I like STEAM as well but for the first time im starting to get some problems with Bioshock since I started playing it recently it keeps freezing at the loading screen when i googled it up this seems like a notorious problem that lots of the people who own this game have.

Also they never bothered to fix it it only occurs sometimes still when it does and you hit CTRL ALT DELETE and you restart the game you have to put back ALL the setting likes 1920, everything high, xbox 360 controller enabled all over again. I'm still trying to see if i can find a fix.
