Hold out for the last day. Steam typically has an "encore" of their previous sales on that day.

    Is your internet stable?

And dammit, Steam is really trying to kill me. I don't even know if I'll have enough money left to get ME1&2 and Civ V by the time they go on sale at this rate...

Okay, I think I'll get these two, but be more conservative from this point on...

DA:O ultimate was on sale via Direct2Drive for either $30 or $25 on Black Friday. Prettymuch everyone passed expecting Steam to do equal or better for their holiday sale. So stay tuned and we'll see!

I have a feeling that Civ V is finally going on sale. *crosses fingers*

What do you guys think the chances of a 75% off sale for both ME1 and ME2 are?

I know. I also know that it was on sale for 33% off for a very short time on Monday, leading me to believe that there was a glitch that caused it to go on sale before it's daily deal date.

Both of the Mass Effects are $7.98 from the Gamer's Gate sale, might as well save a dollar and get them from there.

Yeah but it's not Steam. Who wants to have multiple sites scattered for their games? Buying it on GamerGate might as well be like pirating it since you just get a exe.

Exactly why I expected more of a sale.

However, after hearing so many complaints about their DRM and considering the convenience Steam offers, paying a little more is worth it.

Complaints about their DRM? I've never bought from them before, but from what I (briefly) read in the topic, it sounds like they send you the retail install files and a key. I was considering possibly ordering from them but I'd like to hear your complaints first.

getting wings of prey, also anyone care to give any input on darksiders and patricians IV? they look pretty cheap...

Mass effect 2 is 25 dollars for me(with the 50% discount), kind steep still... so Ill prolly hold and see if Dragon age gets any decent discounts.

    Any opinions on alpha protocol?

As for peeps who are curious about darksiders, its a solid action adventure game, but no way in league with god of war, ninja gaiden, devil may cry and the sort. Lengthy adventure, decent story but leaves and overall "ehhh" feel cos the depth and complexity in the combat is just not there.

But, for the price its at atm, this game is definitely worth experiencing.

I wish I had that much HDD space. lol

At least the download is stable. ME2 looks like it'll take less than 2.5 hours total to download.

Interesting note: before the sale, I only had 7 games. Now I have 14. And I still have $90 left on my budget. Also, as of this post, I have 1.25 "gigaposts" on this forum using the binary system.

    did you read my post?

Alpha Protocol is the game of the year. AWESOME story, the cause/effect system is so f'ing epic and it's never been so deep in any other game.

The order you choose the missions will affect the gameplay. You can replay it 30+ times and not get the same thing each time.
