Wings of Prey more than worth $6. Pick it up even if you have a slight interest in air combat games.

Speaking of that, we gotta get some DogFigher games in. -

I have yet to try multiplayer on dogfighter, I have only tested the game and was working on a multi monitor hack for the game.
-
I only tried it once. It's probably just not very many people playing the game.
-
Do you guys recommend any of the indie packs?
-
-
new sales are up! woot FO:NV at 40% off
-
Hm. I think I've been spared today. I'm still sad over the lack of Civ V, though.
-
Only intersting thing is NV at 50% off.
-

i picked up sam and max, finally bought the indie future pack, and now continue to wait for a civ v sale
-
I may just buy it. I've been wanting to play it.
But should I get FO:NV or DA:O??? -
Definitely grabbing DMC4, and possibly Saints Row 2
Nothing else really stands out -
The FO:NV looks interesting for those that were waiting for it. It's not my kind of game unfortunately. CSS is at $4.99. Quick, somebody hold a contest!
Edit: Also I see Battlefield 2 Complete on sale. BC2 was on sale before too. Perhaps we will also see a (small) discount on Vietnam? -
I would, but I'm outta cash now. I spent more that I should have (as does most everyone). Gotta keep what I got for my new laptop.
-
Man probably the best day so far for the sale, and its xmas, damnit I gotta wait to see what i got for xmas before buying anything
, the gurl demands this !!!!
-
Is BC2 worth it, does any one still play multiplayer? How active is it compared to CS:S?
Hmm, they're both $5. -
BC2 is more than worth it IMHO. Very active community and there's the Vietnam pack now too.
edit: Oh you meant BF2. Yes it still has a pretty active community... I have almost 700 hours with that game! -
Anyway, I can't comment on Battlefield 2 as I've never played it.
Edit: There you go, htwingnut has 700 hours. Then it must be good. -
OK here's a weird one. I bought Wings of Prey and the DLC for a total of $13.49 so I check my Steam Games Library and all it shows is Wings of Prey and the DLC will cost me another $7.49
I'm in the process of installing L4D2 and still have a ways to go. Do I need to first install Wings of Prey before the Add-On shows up in my purchased queue? Not sure how this works. -
Goddamnit! I caved and got BF2. :/ Civ 5 better go on sale soon.
Also hoping BC2 Vietnam goes on sale; otherwise I'll get it with money I get for my birthday. -
-
Hmmmm, I'm thinking of getting FO:NV, but I don't have FO3 yet either, so I was wondering if I should get FO3 first, since it's also cheaper.
-
BF2 is a great game. Graphics are rather dated, but the nice part about that is it should be able to play smoothly on most "modern" laptops without any problems. Used to play it all the time. Flying jets is incredibly fun.

Damn this sale is going to chew my spare funds this month like nothing, last year was pretty bad and I cant see this being any better.
-
This is actually my first Steam year (not counting TF2 a couple of years back). My god, I've never gotten this many games in such a short time in my entire life! I'll probably have enough to last me a year at this rate, which is a problem since I'm in college, I want a few games for PC, 360, DS, and Wii next year, and I want to get the 3DS. By the time I'm halfway done with everything, there'll be another sale!
Those guys at Valve are evil geniuses.
-
Yes, I believe Valve stated the stats with these super sales, that they actually make more money selling things at 50-75% off than they do ever at full price. Granted, they have to have the sales to make it a "good deal" otherwise if they were always that cheap, people would hesitate to buy like they do at full retail pricing.
Now you can understand how so many people have such a vast library of games after being with Steam the last few years.... -
If you think Valve or anyone involved in this sale is losing money:
Left 4 Dead sees 3000% jump in sales on Steam
10 percent sale = 35 percent increase in sales
25 percent sale = 245 percent increase in sales
50 percent sale = 320 percent increase in sales
75 sale sale = 1470 percent increase in sales -
^^^
I rest my case. -
has anyone tried the game King Arthur? It looks good and I actually have been watching it since it first came out and now that it's on sale for only $5 I m actually thinking of giving it a try. I really like the models of the knights in the screenshots
-
I don't like these turn-based strategy games though. -
Im getting Devil may cry 4. Other titles Im pondering about: Saints Row 2, Borderlands, Arma II, Ghost Recon. Any words of wisdom guys?
-
-
Also whats the difference between Borderlands and Borderlands GOTY? the first is 10 bux and the second is 25 bux??? lol, is it worth the difference? -
yes, GOTY has all the DLC.
the General Knoxx DLC doubled my playtime from 60 to about 120 hours. -
wth, was gonna get devil may cry 4, iirc it had a 75% discount, and now that I go add to the cart it says 50% discount, wth steam.... not cool.
-
when you play the game and choose the new missions for the dlc it will prompt you to activate the dlc. it takes you back to desktop and you enter the key in youplays window.
you will not see the dlc in your steam list.
edit: its the best looking game ive played on my laptop -
-
Cars are easy. Planes are Hard -
-
Wish Borderlands was cheaper. Already have it in hard-copy, but want it digital. Price on steam is like £20 here, and if you buy the hard-copy off amazon you get the Game-of-the-Year Edition for like £9
-
Gotten Myself some deals from Steam too
Bully, King Arthur and Saint Row 2.
-
-
picked up Overlord for $3.00. Hard to go wrong there!
-
Finally DA:O went on sale, bought the Ultimate Pack for $24.99. Also bought Batman Arkham Asylum for $7.50
-
Today's deal:
Civ 5 25% off: $37.49
DA: Origin series 50% off (separately)
X SuperBox 50% off: $19.99
Tropico 3: Gold Ed 70% off: $6
COD4 MW2 50% off: $29.99
Batman Asylum 75% off: $7.50
Monkey Island: Special Ed Bundle 75% off: $3.75
FlatOut 90% off
Red Faction series 75% off
Altitude 75% off: $2.49
Splinter Cell series 50% off
Shank 50% off: $7.49
These prices are US prices. I wonder which one of these is worth buying. Anyone have any suggestion? -
I was hoping for a bigger Civ 5 deal. :/ Well, I would have bought it at full price if it were to never go on sale, so I can deal with it. Might pick up Batman AA as well.
Still, Steam saved some great deals for today.
