Just got Serious Sam HD Gold. My damage so far? In reverse order:

Serious Sam Gold Pack (just bought)
    FlatOut Ultimate Carnage (haven't played)
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY (Would have played by now if not for my connection going down Sunday night)
Civilization V (no horrible glitches so far)
    Battlefield 2 (haven't played yet)
    Mass Effect
    Mass Effect 2
    Just Cause 2
    Spore (some regret)
Super Meat Boy (gamepad could help)
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box (REALLY need a gamepad)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 Standard Edition (gift)

Might get SimCity 4, but I don't know...

Tempted to get the Crysis complete pack, however the SecuROM DRM on crysis is putting me off
I don't know if there is a revoke tool for the 5 machine activations limit on steam or not, but 2 pounds is tempting :p

Crysis has a sandbox sort of style that is a love hate thing
I personally enjoyed it, and of course it looks good  :p

DOOM 3 is one of the scariest games I have ever played, and for this price its a massive steal, even though it is fairly old it still looks decent

Have you ever played Heroes of Might and Magic V? King's Bounty's almost the same, except that King's Bounty is real-time based when you are moving in a map. The battle system's the same - turn based.

Well, here is my take on it.

Last year I got Crysis Maximum Edition pack on Steam. It was during the holiday sales for maybe the same price I don't really remember. It comes with Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Crysis Wars.

Crysis Wars is still populated but nowhere close to BC2. There are a handful of servers, I would say enough to have a good time. I thought all Crysis games were awesome. They are really fun. I beat Crysis, and Warhead twice, second time on hardest difficulty because I liked them so much. Crysis Wars is the game that I have put the most amount of hours into; about 175. The only reason I stopped playing was because of BC2. I think its multiplayer is classic. And for $9.99, you can't go wrong.

Now, I grew up with Doom (as most of us did really) so I am strongly considering getting this. I've had the Doom series on my wishlist for as long as there has been a whishlist on Steam!

    We'll see what happens.

I should have waited. I bought Crysis last week. :p I played Crysis and Warhead on my previous desktop (HD4870) a while back, but I got the Steam version for my laptop even though the 260GTX is not quite powerful enough.

I'll get Warhead for sure. :)

Hmmm I too am interested in SimCity 4. Does anyone recommend this to someone who has never delved into the Sims games or city building genre?

In other news, I think it's finally time to try my hand at Crysis. :)

I personally liked Sim City 3000 more than Sim City 4, although the graphics are a step up with SC4. I think you'll like it for the price.

I just bought Crysis Maximum, Dirt 2, and last night I picked up Serious Sam Gold and Machinarium.

I'm considering Crysis as well, but I already have a lot of shooters, and would only be interested in the storyline. Is it pretty good? or is it only worth it for the incredible graphics and such?

Hardware requirements ! Although it's now a 3+ year old game so most newer hardware should run it fine. It will give me the opportunity of trying out my 6870. :)

The story isn't bad and the AI is pretty good for a shooter but yeah the graphics are the top draw. First game to boast DX10 as a requirement and took advantage of it. Still not bad for a $10 game. If you liked Far Cry 1 & 2 you should like Crysis.

The only con would be that the hardware requirement. The story is the usual 2 sides fighting with a 3rd side popping up and pooping the party for everyone. I think a lot of people like it because of the flexibility the suit gives when it comes to completing objectives. For example I spent most of my game invisible and running away from direct confrontation and picking off enemies from afar when I absolutely had to. And contrary to Warhead, the map is almost completely open:you can almost go anywhere and do whatever you want.

EDIT: My plastic is looking pretty charred, metaphorically speaking. Does anyone know what's in the next wave? I'm thinking about ending my shopping spree today.

Thanks for the reply. After your and another's comments, I'm sold (especially for $5, I'll try out my first city builder). Picked up this and Crysis complete pack to try out my new desktop I'm building.

I'm still holding out for deals on Singularity, Transformers War for Cybertron, and a deeper sale on Divinity II, though the first two are from Activision so I'm not exactly holding my breath. :(

You can play Kane & Lynch for 30 minutes (as many times as you want) on OnLive provided you have the connection for it if you want to play something outside of the demo. Personally, I didn't like it.
