Anyone have Supreme Commander 2? Looks interesting, but I thought it was one of those "system-killer" games. Other than that, I think I'll get the Jedi Knight pack, and call it a sale :D.

im only waiting for medal of honour (is it worth paying full price if it doesnt go on sale) and vietnam for battlefield bc 2 which i must admit i thoroughly enjoyed the single player but the multi player like the beta still suks.

I doubt Vietnam will go on sale after just being released.

For Bad Company 2 on the other hand, I played the beta on my PS3 and didn't enjoy it too much, but when playing it with a mouse and keyboard, it's just much more enjoyable. I like the multiplayer a lot more than the single player even though I think the single player was great.

EA download had it at 50% off last week for 1 day so im just guessing steam might have it.
i was mad enough to buy both map packs for mw2 but im more interested in this one as its for single player.

i got fed up with the multi player beta as the campers would kill you before you had a chance to get to the other side of the map. :)

Bought it when it was on sale for a similar price in the past. I'd say it's worth it. Pretty fun. Currently playing through SC1 and then moving on to SC2 :).

I'm kind of interested in Sup Com 2, PC Gamer named it their top Co-op game of 2010. Problem is none of my buddies are interested in dropping the $3.75 to try it out with me.

Its so not.... lol, compared to the first one its a mess tbh. Their is next to no multiplayer support as theirs no custom map editor and the game has been scaled down massively to make the games shorter. If you liked/loved the first you won't find much in it tbh.

SupCom 2 has been quite fun for me (been playing with a couple friends doing comp stomps), though admittedly I'd much rather be playing SupCom 1 except it's rather stressful on even high end systems in large battles (even quad cores can have trouble).

In short, yes SC2 is a much smaller and simpler scale than the first. Is it still fun? Yes, especially with the DLC/exp thing. I'd say it's worth the $3.75 (and the extra $2.50 for the battle pack - includes my favorite unit - the MonkeyLord), especially if you can play with other people. I still haven't played the campaign though as from the demo I predict I'd be disappointed.

In other news, the C&C sales are rather enticing. I'm thinking of picking up all but the 4th game (the abomination) as I don't have either of the expansions.

I think it might be UK specific again, doesn't show up in my region as being on special. And yes, you can use the key they give you through Steam, it's just a question of inputting the activation key they sell you.

I am tempted by Stalker. I don't play shooters because I get motion sickness (yeah, I know, that's the kind of thing that should be kept private :D ), but I've read that Stalker is not as fast paced as other shooters, so maybe it'll work for me. I've also read that it's quite challenging, and I obviously suck at shooters, as I can't play them. Anyway, what are your general thoughts on Stalker?

I also want to get an RTS. I might go with Sup Com 2 or C&C 3: Tiberium Wars.

Oh man thanks for that link. I was looking at Vietnam before xmas day and it was on sale but didn't know when it finished and thats what exactly happened went back later on to check and it was gone.

Why do they seem to have two different stores I went to the wrong one earlier which is different and the cost isn't reduced unlike the one you've linked so thanks!.

For the price I'm tempted by the stalker pack too, but man there are already so many games in queue (DA:O is still consuming the bulk of time...)

Tempted by the total war pack as well, but already owning civ 5 feels like it would be a little redundant.

Total war is VERY different when compared to Civ 5. I'd highly recommend it. Empire is very fun and nothing beats watching the battles. Ship battles are beautiful. Napoleon improves upon Empire, but I enjoy Empire more.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is whatever you want to make of it. You can play straight to the end and still have a great experience or like me you can play the same game for a year (My 9th play through actually, exploring and just enjoying the Alife). At the price on Steam it is a steal. So much so I bought it again just to have it on Steam. As a side note I have bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl 4 times, the retail at release, UK Collector's Edition, Russian Collector's Edition and now Steam version. Clear Sky I bought 2 times, retail North American release, Russian Collector's Edition, finally Call of Pripyat 2 times US Collector's Edition and the Steam version. Alife is best on the finally version, as interesting trivia, the Alife was gimped in SoC as THQ executives thought North American audiences would find it too difficult and get frustrated.

Yes S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is my favorite games and probably the best reason to be a PC gamer in this day of dumbed down for console releases and generic, military/alien FPS shooters. Anyway try it at that price you can't go wrong, and the amount of re-playability is astounding the mods are really quite amazing for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.. It is unfortunate Clear Sky didn't get into that bundle too, it is a pretty good story to understand the motivations of one of the main characters, including the depths he will sink and the risks he will take at any cost to get what he wants. Well it is only $9.99.

Here are some pics of my Collector's Editions for anyone interested:

    UK SoC:

Two extra SoC & Clear Sky Russian Collector's Editions:

Russian SoC and Clear Sky open:

Anyway, that is my opinion on it, I am going to load up S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC again to play the Complete Mod. XD

    Nice!

I got S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl during last year's holiday sales for like $2 dollars, I think? Anyway, I envy you because I wish I liked it as much as you do. In my opinion, it is without a doubt the worse game on my humble collection of 15 games. I really tried to like it, as I do with all my games, but I just couldn't get into it. With the help of a friend I dropped 8 hours on it and it still didn't feel right.

Anyway, for the price it is at, I guess it's worth a shot.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R is very nice, I picked it up for 99¢ from the GFWL bonanza a few weeks ago. It's definitely a diamond in the rough (a.k.a. community mod required to make it fantastic). I very much appreciate the unique difficulty and RPG'ish feel to this game, it's a very realistic and difficult shooter/RPG where strategy and planning is required.

For those purchasing this bundle, here is a direct link to the "required" S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete Mod. This mod is for SOC, and absolute must have.

Thanks for sharing... Wait you needed help from a friend? It is pretty hard though so I understand that. If S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the worst (See how I spelled it there? Just checking...) you must have some serious stinkers in your collection. XD

Wow I have just tried Complete Mod and it is amazing, been playing to much Call of Duty and Bad Company 2 though, I got slaughtered at the first mission on Veteran.

Well, he kept insisting that I go on and see what happens next and I guess trying to get me into it. He also played on my machine, even though he also has it. He thinks it's fun so...

Anyway, I could probably list all my games from memory. I have, Crysis Collection, BC2 with Vietnam, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC, Dirt 2, Half-Life 2 series, Portal, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Just Cause 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Street Fighter IV, and World in Conflict.

See, my list has zero RPG's. I'm not into that genre. I guess that's why I found the game so boring. And I also used the Complete mod from the very beginning. I don't event want to know what it looked like before it.

Yeah it's not for everyone, there is a steep learning curve and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is not very forgiving. Those are some pretty good games there, well except Dirt 2 and Street Fighter IV those are crap.

You can do, but the mod doesn't change much in terms of gameplay or story, just overhauls graphics, lighting etc, so even if you play with it first time, you'll still be experiencing the greatness of SoC, just with a little extra polish on top :)

Yep I must have bought HL2 like 7 times over LOL. Anyways it cost me a whopping $5.99 for the complete package including the HL series which is the one I currently don't have. It's a good thing I bought L4D2 earlier this year for like $6.50 which got me my 85% discount.

The only worthy ones IMO is COH and COH: Opposing Fronts. Tales of Valor wasn't bad but offered very little and they asked too much for it. I checked and it's $7.49 IIRC. Not bad but the first two COH's are the ones to get. :)

CoH is fun, but at this point I'd say to just play the campaign (which in my opinion is pretty good). Online play has got to the point where everyone will destroy you unless you're willing to put in a couple months and take your lumps to learn it.
