Just bought Dragon Age for my M11x even though I've beat the game about 3 times on the Xbox. I might pick up DA2 later on when the price goes down some more.

Was hoping for a better DA2 deal...retail Dragon Age 2 Bioware Signature Edition is still cheaper than the Steam version :/ Even with this deal, retail SE is currently still $5 cheaper here than the Steam version, what is up with the prices of new games on STEAM ?! ...

Anyone played the new Hot Pursuit? I have not played a Need For Speed game since the first underground (they started to suck imho) and never really logged alot of time in one except the original Hot Pursuit. I almost bought it new on the ps3 to play with my little brother but it didn't have split screen mulitplayer so I let it pass. Now I see it for $15 and I know it has online multiplayer but is it fun?

Me too spend some cash today:
    1) NFS Undercover (don't know if it's a good game, 2,50$ is irresistible)
    2) Plants vs Zombies (for my wife... she's new to Steam xD)

    Damn you Steam! :D

As for the first one and expansion, definitely worth a purchase if you've never played them.... fun shooters!

Crysis Maximum Edition is definitely worth $9.99. Best $12 I ever spent on games last year when I bought this package. Today's is the cheapest I have seen it. It's an awesome deal and great fun.

And yes, too bad Crysis 2 wasn't 75% off too. :D

And then, prices are still high. I already bought a lot of games from Steam, and EA prices are the highest (based ond the launch/age period). I can accept a new game worth even 60$... but a 2007 game for 30$ (original crysis price) is too much. Mass effect week prices was the closest EA get in terms of right price (maybe ME2 should get the same price as ME1... or at least a bundle package at 10$)

    I won't buy Crysis...

However, it is $10 right now. I don't know why you won't get it at that price they are offering today. I agree with you that in general, Steam's prices on older games are steep. However, when they do go on sale, they go on sale at really low prices, or prices that I would get such game in the first place. Therefore, I will go for it when the chance is open and feel happy about it. In principle it is a great idea to refuse buying things you think is a ripoff, but when a sale is legit, I'd go for it and not look back. If it weren't for the sale, then I will stand with you in general and say "Too expensive. Pass!"

cant believe crysis 2 was half price on the EA store last week. i bet theres a lot of people kicking themselves now thinking steam might be cheaper.

and if you havnt got crysis and warhead including crysis wars yet BUY IT NOW you wont be disappointed at that price.

I believe there was a misunderstanding. I was not talking about ON SALE prices in general. Only ON SALE prices from EA.

ALL the games I have on Steam, I bought on discount sales. Valve main system is fabulous, I even bought games I don't like much because of the magnificent prices!! (Need for speed undercover... just 2.5$... come on! I bought it just for the pleasure to drive expensive cars with fabulous soundtrack ;D... well, that was a nice price on EA too, isn't it?. Wish they do it more often!)

Well... discounts are the same as other companies (66%, 75%, etc)... the problem is that their base prices are higher. So Crysis with 75% discount is the same price as Batman with 75% off. Batman being newer (2 years newer!) and (my opinion) a better game.

I didn't know there was a 10$ bundle. I don't have it (maybe some region stuff). All I have is a Crysis Complete Pack for 15$ (the same price as buying each separately). The same did happen for ME1 and ME2.

Must say I really like to pay more to Steam for a digital download than pay, let's say Amazon (only an example), for a fisical/digital copy (Unless they give a Steam key activation). Why?. I REALLY love the Steam system. Is so simple. All updates are transparent, online gaming is fabulous, the comunity, support... etc. Is a perfect integration. And that without mention keeping the windows registry free of garbage. Installing a game is only a download step.

Didn't like the fact that it still has the DRM, which was why I haven't bought it until now but I bought it finally because according to the Steam forums there is a tool for warhead, and while there isn't one for crysis, EA is able to restore its activations if a user runs out.

That and a price of 6 pounds for maximum edition of course.

I couldn't get this working on my warhead install, it took like a good 5 hours to update, and no servers exist to play appearently, I musta done something wrong :(, oh well Hawken will be out soon enough and will give me my fp mech fill. Back on topic, ME1 & 2 for 15 bucks, Thanks EA for making the PSN downtime enjoyable :). Steam should be jumping all over that right now, getting some Playstation guys to get into some pc gaming.

I know exactly what you mean
EA did stand by their word apparently though as according to the steam forums as DRM was removed from a number of those games on steam, but it seems the developer has a say in it too, and I've read that Crytek are against removing the DRM, which I just dont get

Crytek was all over for DRM because Crysis 1 I think was badly leaked and pirated within the initial weeks of the game release and they lost some sales due to it. Ironically, same thing happened with Crysis 2...
