Debating getting both Dead Space games. I'm a pansy when it comes to horror games.

I'm a little chicken...as tempting as the deals are, I know I would be too scared to play them

for me, bioshock is the limit of scariness I'm willing to tolerate :D

Dead space series is not scary at all. I may have some jumpy scenes but not that scary.

For me, monster jumping out from behind a corrider = scary.

For God's sake, I thought the movie Quarantine was scary.

Then I shouldn't tell you in Dead Space 2, you have to poke a needle in the main character's eyeball to go grab a key lodged inside his eyeball...

Sounds more silly than scary. Jump sequences scare me, because it is hard not to be shocked when something appears form no where and the sound kicks it up to eleven.

I'm not really into scary games (wasn't into Resident evil series), but I beat DS1 and playing DS2 right now; and I would say they are awesome games. I would recommend getting atleast DS1 and give it a try. When steamdeal ends for DS on Sunday, you can still buy it through EADM [electronic arts downloader] for $12; and DS2 for $23.

The one bad thing about DS1 is that the controls for PC are really bad. To fix it, turn OFF ingame VSYNC by going into game settings, and turn mouse sensitivity way up.

    Good luck

I loved Doom 3, and scared the crap outta me. I had a hard time getting into Dead Space because of the controls, but love the premise. I may bite on the DS2 though and give them both a go again!

    Haven't played BC2, BFBC2, or MoH Airbourne

Need recommendations on which ones to get, also what sort of game is BF2 and BC2 since I've never really seen them played?

Don't get BF2 as the community for BF2 is kind of dead and that stick around are German-based servers. Even though I prefer BF2 loads more than BC2, you will find a lot more people playing BC2.

Thanks for the quick heads up (+ rep)
Hows the BC2 community in general these days even though its been out a fair while?
More specifically servers in Europe since that's where I'm located

Looks like its BC2 and MoH Airborne then :D :D :D

It is not that bad. I play on servers that often have a varying degree of players and it makes an interesting game every time you play. I can't comment on European servers since I lag badly on them (and in BC2 a high ping does affect the hit detection...) but based on the NA servers I play, it is mostly a fun and interesting experience. You do get occasionally some cheaters and trolls, but overall it is a more mature community than let's say... Black Ops or MW 2.

BC2 is still quite popular, although the amount of people playing Vietnam has decreased some. I picked up BC2 so I could finally have a copy of it on Steam... uninstalling EADM now and it feels gooooood! LOL!

Saw a review on IGN for BC2 and it looked great, like a very polished version of BF heroes (a f2p game I loved before they ruined it)

    Ended up grabbing it :D :D :D
    Downloading as I type

If I remember right, one of the security engineers from Steam publish is account name and password (owning ALL the Steam games available at the time) encouraging people to break it and keep the account. That was the "inauguration" of the extra security system xD

Don't get the Commandos pack on Steam. It sucks because they have done no work to get it to actually work on Vista/7 and it's buggy still on XP.
