hey..i live in UTAH.....and its great!!!! the mountains...the scenery (probably not the best, but its good) but lol we are getting offtopic in an offtopic thread...how ironic
-
Beautiful screen shots guys.
I didn't know or forgot that they came out with another C&C game. Pretty good overall? I played General at the most 7.5 times. Loads of fun.
I'll post a screen shot of my all time favorite game in a few. -
They got an expansion coming soon, Kane's Wrath. They are going to be introducing unit upgrades, new units, new subfactions below each of the three major factions. The campaign will take players through the second TIberium War and past the Fourth.
Supposed to be releases Early 2008. -

I wanna play spore and i will post some screens too

Well, here is a screenshot-story of a recent match I played against a very good player named Eigermann. He was GDI and he used some great strategy against me. Mammoth Tanks, well placed Sonic Emitters of course, as well as Zone Troopers....Grenaders...even Juggernauts....anyway here they are...
When I THOUGHT it was time, I attacked his base with my Tripods and Shock Troopers
Little did I know that.....I was very wrong
Meanwhile my main base was getting attacked from the inside, Zone Trooper Drop Pod
Desperate times call for desperate measures...Mothership Deployed
Lalalalala....5 minutes later
....Lalalalalaa 10 minutes later....
Success!
After that, he was just prey -
Shouldn't this be in Gaming?
Can't wait to take screenshots with my shiny new 1520 I'm getting.
Here's a screenshot of the Battlefield 2 Demo with my current machine, to show off just how powerful my PC is.
(bah, was gonna take a screenshot of the error message I get, but now it just plain crashes,)
-
Two Worlds on my laptop: 1280x960, HDR, 2x AA, mostly high. I get around 20-22 FPS outdoors, around 15-18 FPS in cities, and 30+ FPS indoors. I can easily get 5 more FPS in all situations at 1024x768, but I like eye-candy and it's perfectly playble anyway at around 20 FPS. Well, I'm satisfied with it. Don't really know about you guys.
I also noticed that widescreen resolutions take a lot of toll on the GPU since I noticed that FPS goes down when I use those resolutions compared to when I use 4:3 ratio resolutions.
Anyway, enjoy the screenshots.
-
whoooa...nice screenies on a Go6600............suddenly i feel a whole lot beter
-
Two Worlds surprised me actually. It's quite optimized for the PC. Even my GF Go 6600 can afford HDR lighting and all the other eye-candy with decent framerates. I can run Oblivion with similar settings and similar FPS and the same resolution, but without HDR and AA, and with lower grass draw distance.
Then again, Oblivion was developed for the Xbox 360 first then ported to the PC. -
Can u tell me more about Two World the game? is it an MMORPG?
-
No. It's just the typical open-world RPG, like Oblivion.
I'll post more screenshots later, but this time, from Test Drive Unlimited. -
two worlds looks very nice...im going to look into this game as well
-
thought the last one just looked cool.
Hopefully posting them all full pics isn't against the rules. :[
Is a screenshot thread.. -
Nice screenshots guys.
Thanks for moving it, whoever did. The thread actually started off as an off-topic screenshot....the Mammoth Tank one then I request it become the OVGST.
So Two Worlds is somewhat similar to Oblivion? Heard a bunch about that game but too lazy to research since I'm not too interested in it. -
Ooo, I like the Dawn of War screenies

Zone Troopers sent to the corner; 5 Minute Timeout for the destruction they have caused

Woah! nice screens shot everyone! i'll get some of CS:S later!
-
Here are more screenshots of my laptop's games, but it's Test Drive Unlimited this time. Settings are similar to my settings in Two Worlds. 1280x960, 2x AA, high details, but no HDR since HDR in Test Drive Unlimited kills FPS by around 5-8 and you can't have HDR and AA turned on at the same time. I get around 18-24 FPS using these settings, which is again, good enough for me. I like it with a lot of eye-candy. I can easily get over 25-30 when playing at 1024x768 but I'll be seeing more jaggies. Ugh...
Sorry if I'm killing the bandwidth with more than 10 screenshots.
Anyway, here are the screenshots. Enjoy. BTW, the car I was using in the screenshots is a TVR Sagaris.
-
wow....I didn't know Test Drive looked that good and that it had cops...great screens
-
Yeah, and I didn't even turn on HDR yet. Well, because it really kills the FPS to the point that it's barely playable when you're in a race since you'll just keep on bumping stuff. So I just keep HDR off, still looks nice though without HDR, as you can see from the screenshots I took.
I just hate the cops in TDU. If you're in a long chase and you've done a lot of traffic offenses, say goodbye to your money. The cops actually count how many cars you've totalled, traffic signs you've taken down, etc. Well, it only happens if you get caught.
Try it. It's a fun game and the online mode is a blast! I don't get to play online that much though because I spend most of my day at the university.
Your Geforce 8600M GT should be able to run it at 1440x900, 4x AA and high details with 30+ FPS. Don't know about HDR. This game is a serious power hog when HDR is turned on. Even my friend's Geforce 7950 GT + C2D E6600 @ 3.0 Ghz is barely pushing over 30 FPS with HDR, high details, 16x AF, 1680x1050. -
I would get it myself, but I don't have a gamepad/controller.

symphonyX, page 7 took like 10 minutes to load, i was like "what the hell?"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that most of us want to see the shots at their real size, but NOT stretching the whole text area of the thread. It would be nice when posting screenshots, people used one of these two methods, rather than adding the whole 8000x5000 res (..just trying to make the point
) image straight to their posts OR resizing their images to a smaller resolution and/or reducing the quality too much:
1. Use external image hosting size to upload your images, and make a link (the little "earth"-button on the message tool bar) to those images into your posts. (e.g http://www.imageshack.us/ ) You can find examples of this method in this actual thread.
OR
2. Click the 'Go Advanced'-button under the Quick Reply area. When the advanced page appears, scroll down to Additional Options area, there, click the 'Manage Attachments'-button. On the 'Manage Attachments' Window, you can upload 5 files from your computer per a post. Here's an example of this method: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=2288280&postcount=45
For both of these methods, before uploading your screenshot, use somekind of image editing software (like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp..etc.) to compress your image a bit without reducing the quality too much. Most of this kind of programs have a good preview system, where you can see when the image loses too much of it's quality, before saving it. This compression is done because not all of us have very fast connection and patience to load those 5 MB files.. Oh, and use .jpg format. I try to keep my uploaded images around 300 KB or lower.
Cheers. -

@ jbannick18
Nice graphics. Didn't know LOTR Online looked that good. Unfortunately, I saw the price. Bah. It's just like WOW.
@ Crimsonman
Odd. All the pictures in page 7 just took around 25 seconds to load. Must be your the internet connection.
Anyway, here are more screenshots. This time from Company of Heroes. Settings are mostly, medium-high. Shader detail medium, model quality high, texture details high, shadows low, reflections high, building detail high, physics medium, tree quality medium, terrain detail medium, effect fidelity high, effect density high, antialiasing off, model detail maxed out. Resolution is 1280x800.
I usually play my games at 1280x960, but in CoH, there's a noticable FPS cut when I play using 1280x960 which gives me only around 20 FPS on average. 1280x800 gives me 25-30 FPS on average. FPS spiking is regular as you can see from the screenshots. Oddly enough, I didn't tell FRAPS to take the FPS along with the screenshot, but it did, so just ignore it.
I got a new hard drive BTW. XD 160 GB 2.5" Hitachi IDE hard drive.
-
Amazing, 999 FPS on a Go 6600!
-
LOL. That's an error by FRAPS. =P I usually get 25-30 FPS when fully zoomed out. Spikes to over 35 FPS when up zoomed in.
But yeah, I wish all games on my laptop REALLY have 999 FPS. XD -
Yea i have lotro at Ultra High 1440x900 with the contrast up a bit more then default. It runs very smooth, usually about 35 fps and 45 fps when just jaunting about. Im trying to get xp onto my laptop so hopefully that will boost up performance too. Nice sc's by the way

cool pictures illmatic.
I got this from the spore demoAttached Files:

-
So that's how Spore looks huh? -
I hear the spore demo is a fake made by some idiot with too much time on his hands, and from what I've seen it's pretty obvious it is nowhere near the quality of what we've seen from the real Spore.

Look at the picture again. See that 49 over there? its from gamespot, and its the real deal, there is no demo out yet. -
So....I'd like to share this Mothership experience.....I decided to be smart and re-use my Mothership that I had just used to wipe out one enemy's main base. So I took my Mothership to their expansion and this is what happened...
The catalyst cannon started here....NICE!
It then went to the other enemy's base...AWESOME!....Two birds with one stone
Then....then....I realized it was THREE birds with one stone...MY BASE WAS GONE! hahah....Along with like 20 of my Tripods -
