Yeah that was me. I'm not a sales man. But I thought I'd just "tice" his mind into the idea with a couple pics

Lol have you noticed every pic has a monitor underneath the bed? He just needs to picture his chair and 1080 ti and he's set.

Lol I want one. I can effectively get one. But it would be for my 2yr old. He ain't ready for that life yet!

As a guy with such a bed, don't.
That going up a ladder and down for a quick nap might seem like nothing, but being in a place with both bedtypes I can say its quite the napstopper.

And if you are up there you dont feel like going down at all ! Your body just settled down and climbing down suddenly feels like such a hassle.

Also all that dust from underneath the bed. Its like youre shaking the roof to release as much dust as possible on your desk.

My table is actually next to my bunk bed just for that reason. Im just using the space underneath as storage for things that can get dusted.

I would hate to see them try and cripple HBM2, so that it functions with MXM 3.0b. Its potential is far greater than that of GDDR5 or GDDR5X. It would be a mistake, as a consumer, to purchase anything like that - a "odd" type in between generational change.

Another rumor I heard recently, 1080 mobile actually do use GDDR5X memory, and someone already put two of them into a clevo P870, and got a 14k or 19k score on FireStrike(not sure of which version). The system does manage to contain the heat, but there's throttling on the CPU side...
Ps: No idea whether is true or not....

That's encouraging, on several fronts, with the CPU cooling problem likely fixable as an upgrade kit to existing units, and a new '2' version for new units.

Wondering what the power setup was... 2 x 330w, 1x, or some new PSU configuration?

While it's not completely related to Pascal, Nintendo's upcoming NX is reported to run on an Nvidia Tegra. Whether it's TX1 (Maxwell) or X2 (Pascal) is up in the air.
Since console games for the past few years have ran on AMD hardware, I wonder what could the impact of game optimization be if an Nvidia-based Console made it to the market (that wasn't Android).

I might be one of the few not very interested in them mobile consoles.

There was one game, just one game for which I owned a nintendo DS at a point. That game was atomic bomberman. After that, I never felt any reason to get a nintendo or other consoles again, especially as I enjoy visual novels on a very large, crisp screen, opposed to PSP or play station portable consoles in general, which had a good screen, but very small.

My phone has a brighter, better colored, better resolution, and is Android, so playing visual novels or games on it seems more handy than on consoles.

Does anyone know any news? We've seen very little info on these cards, and Samsung phones are having leaks with 1 week before their launch, while our precious cards seem to be shadowed by a strong NDA :D

Won't necessarily be compatible with 1080M. Like pretty much all 'upgradeable' laptops that have MXM GPUs, one barrier is often the fact that BIOS might not allow support of the new generation of GPUs - it's a lottery. My understanding is that these laptop manufacturers could easily allow support of new GPUs without any extra work (similar to the situation with desktops), but they add in extra elements that mean that often only officially supported GPUs will work - one exception to this is the M15x from Alienware manufactured in approx 2009 which has so far allowed every GPU to work with no issues - it's almost like the desktop of the laptop world! (I want to see a 1080M/1070M in an M15x - lucky devils!)

that probably wont happen either.most likely is a 1060 in terms of TDP in an m15x. the 980M is already at the utmost limit wattage wise that the m15x can handle (at stock clocks). according to owners, the 970M is the ideal maxwell card for that laptop. but in any case, a 1060 would already be insane for a 7 year old machine :D

    Few notebook Pascal news:

Chassis don't look too familiar to me, any guesses? Maybe some Dell Precision workstation?

UploadVR folks guessed GPU to be Quadro P5000, though I wouldn't be fully sure. We already know there are more notebook Pascal GPUs that are "VR-ready" (GTX 1060 / 1070 / 1080). Though if it's indeed Dell Precision, these do tend to come with Quadros.

Note: voice in the background mentions 1070 at 2m:07s

Well a good evidence that things are moving is price are crashing on most of French websites.

980m+i7+ssd was around around 2k euros last week.

Now 1799 (even 1699 euros with that -200e and free overwatch deal).

Lets see how far it goes.

I bet NDA will be lifted on 1st August.

There will definitely be XXXX cards with near desktop performance.

There have been some conflicting reports/systems advertised with "M" cards. Not sure if they are watered down desktop cards which will coexist or just mismatching info.

In terms of compatibility, desktop cards will be bigger than usual MXM 3.0b and will be quite expensive too.

NDA rumoured to end 1st of August.

Knowing Nvidia there should be some "event" where they can launch.

Is there something happening at the beginning of August?

    - Gamescom is one possible event, though this one starts just August 17th
    - Pax West is even later, September 2nd
    - maybe QuakeCon? this one is already August 4th

PAX West is the largest upcoming event, afaik. First week of September.

Honestly, NVIDIA doesn't need a major event. People are so hyped for Pascal, they could launch at a McDonald's and thousands would show.

Well whilst people thought there was no way that pascal wouldn't be available to the earliest as October. I actually believed August the latest was the time it be available to order.
The only thing is that this time round compared to last gen. The release of mobile information is much longer about 3 weeks vs 6 weeks and counting. That's going off information vs desktop first announced info on desktop and mobile. Was 3 weeks apart.
Ironically for me it's the 1st time I've looked that up in anticipation and trust it to be much longer lol. I'll take full blame for everyone's anguish and pain of waiting lol

So... the P640RE, P650RE3, and P870 are all discontinued now. Pascal mobile has to be getting close, or before you know it, Clevo won't have any products on the market anymore :p
