Definitely check out Guild Wars 2 when it comes out later this year.

Favorite Genre is Point and Click. Any recent games out like this? I know they're not very popular these days but just hoping. I did play the latest Tales ot Monkey Island which game out year and a half ago but nothing since. Oh, also I did play the PS3 version of Back to the Future from last year..
Thanks. -
The next BIG thing seems to be a good point and click adventure game. I recently gifted it to my wife... she played the demo and loved it.
Some people say Gemini rue is a good game.
I hope GOG launches Grim Fandango some day
-
Any good 3rd person shooters/rpgs for PC or PS3? I need something to keep me until ME3 comes out in March :3
Any game recommendations with good mechanics would me nice - I have a pretty high tolerance for bad/corny plots, so story isn't an issue =) -
Splinter Cell is ok, Assassins Creed revelations (not a shooter but good), I hear infamous is good as well as the uncharted series. Metal gear solid, Dead Space 1 and 2...
-
what's a good first person shooter? only single player and I want one that I can play for a long time.
-
Is Battlefield 3 worth buying? I got the cash but it's more of the effort in looking for a shop which has stock at the moment.
-
Half life games are fun fps's. Then there's Metro 2033, which is a post apocalyptic Russia thing and it's pretty fun. Crysis, Hard reset, Bioshock1 and 2... Take a look at gameplay vidoes on these and see if you like them.

Dota 2 is an amazing game.
-
I asked my friends if Dota 2 was like LoL. The second I said that, they all screamed at me saying, "IT'S NOTHING LIKE LOL."
I never enjoyed LoL, so hearing that from my friends who frequently play LoL would make me try out this game. -
Hi guys, can you tell me which games I can hope to play on my new notebook at decent frame rates? My notebook's specs are in my sig. I prefer FPS games, RPGs and RTS games.
The old games I liked were Counter Strike: Source, COD 4: Modern Warfare, Dragon Age Origins, Oblivion and Medieval 2: Total War. I haven't played anything newer since my old laptop didn't have discrete graphics.
Thanks.
EDIT: Ok, my sig seems invisible for some reason, so here are the specs of my notebook:
Hp Pavilion dv6t Quad Ed | Intel Core i7 - 2670QM (2.2GHz) | 8GB DDR3 SDRAM | 2GB AMD Radeon 7690M GDDR5 | 750GB 7200 RPM HDD | 15.6" 1366X768 LED | Blu-Ray Player + DVD Burner -
Anybody know of anything similar to Too Human for PC, I loved that game but its gotten a little old.
-
I can't wait until the darkness II comes out, game looks amazing
-
Whats the best diablo-like game atm?
Cant force myself into diablo2 with its silly graphics so it should be something moderately modern.
RPG-hacknslash 3/4 view — something along this lines.
p.s. i alrdy played witcher / skyrim etc, but its not exactly the type of rpg i am looking for now. -
Torchlight
-
ok ty )

You should be able to play pretty much anything on mid-high settings, so enjoy. Some suggestions are Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Shogun 2.
-
I have a Dell Inspiron N3010.
Intel Core i5 CPU M 460 @ 2.53GHz
Memory 4GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series.
Can I play Dragon Age 2? I used to play Mass Effects 2 just fine with this notebook.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any Turn-Based RPG's out there?? Everything has changed over to real time in the past several years...I'm not complaining about this mind you..Oblivion, Skyrim, Mass Effect etc. are all amazing...but sometimes I really get a craving for something along the lines of the old Baldur's Gate series...something which allows you time to stop, think, calculate and then act....without getting ripped apart lol...thanks!
-
Titan Quest and Titan Quest Immortal Throne, basically the same setup as diablo 2 with shinier graphics.
Also the suggestion of Torchlight is pretty spot on.
Kings Bounty and the Heroes series are the only games that spring instantly to mind. Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 also allow time to be stopped to plan your moves if you haven't played them. -
Mr_Mysterious Like...duuuuuude
Thought I'd ask here before I create a new thread.
Can I run Mass Effect (the first one) on the integrated graphics of an i5 2410M?
Mr. Mysterious -
I can't speak highly enough about Titan Quest and expansion pack.
1st place tie for best game ever made with Diablo 2.
Being a greek mythology buff just adds to the uncharted awesomeness.
Great game, great levels, good expansion pack, and good online community add ons. -
Titan Quest and Torchlight. I heard torchlight was made by those involved in making Diablo 2.
-
Look for the New XCOM game that is coming out later this year -
awesome thread

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
A military flight sim. And I mean SIM. Not an arcade. Also it has to have controllable Su-27+ or MiG-29+. Basically a Lock-On, but newer
.
Or also a sim, but with aerobatics planes. -
All should wait for CS:GO !! It's coming in soon I hope
-
Does not exist, as far as I know. If you can drop the requirement for those two planes, you might look at the DCS series from the same makers as Lock-On. Although I have a feeling you already know of those.
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Yup. I used to play their Flanker and Lock-On. Not into helis unfortunately. Or US military planes
.
Looks like Lock-On: Burnings Cliffs 2 has whose planes
.

Can you give me any more details?? I'de appreciate it! -
Anyone played Realm of the Mad God; online button masher styled after Zelda or the originals of the FF series.
-
GREAT game! Now F2P on Steam
-
Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog.
Just watch the Giant Bomb of it: Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog - Gameplay - YouTube -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
It hasn't got controllable Su-27 or MiG-29...
Anyway I found that I was looking for
.
Nevertheless, thanks for the help. -
I think it's the FPS game set in the 50's that just used the xcom storyline, not a turn based tactical squad game xcom used to be.
-
Could you share? I am also interested...
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2. Still haven't tried it, but I player original LockOn plus their older sims, should be good. -
Just want to point that GG hast D&D master collection on sale
-
Bought SS3 off Steam, and so far this is one mindless, no storyline, just blow stuff up crazy shooter.
Exactly what I was looking for.
Croteam got the SS:SE magic back with this one.
Haven't even tried co-op yet.

anyone have anything close to Starwars galaxies pre-cu?
-
Shogun 2 total war is great! I'm surprised it runs decent on my M11X R1 (Yeap) on mixed settings with the blood pack. Very decent.
-
Feeling nostalgic today. Dusting off the Asus G50vt-x1. I have not played any fps game since Battlefield 1942 (best game ever!) Looking for an action or fps type game that i can run on this machine medium quality or better. Machine still works great by the way. Thanks in advance!
-
Action: Darksiders (on sale at THQ for 5$)
FPS: Hard Reset (on IndieRoyale pack) -
Can anyone recommend me a good Sports game?? I Play NBA 2K12 and PES 2012, but I don't know much else.
I have a Intel HD Graphics (I know... I know..) and 6GB RAM.
Thanks -
Well.. I don't think there are many exactly like SWG, but, maaaaaybe Entropia Universe. Not as good though(I Think)
-
Heh, I play all games.
Its similar to my taste in music. All Genres.
Except pay 2 plays, those are disgusting peices of capitalism that do not belong in the game industry.
Reccomend away.
Some of my most played games:
Halo Custom Edition
Freelancer
TM Nations United Forever
2070 A.D.
EU III
Crysis 2 -
If you liked the freedom in Freelancer, you might try X3: Terran Conflict. If you played Frontier Elite back in the day, it's a modern version of it. The interface is harder to learn than Freelancer's but also because there is A TON of commands. You can be just a pilot on a single ship, but you can also buy (and pilot) frigates, battleships, build factories and space stations, etc. In the end, you can (almost) own the entire space. It's dirt cheap at Amazon.
Also, since you play EU III, I strongly recommend Civilization 4 plus all expansion packs. Not the latest Civ 5, which should have been named "Civ 4 for toddlers with eye candy" (the AI is terrible and the gameplay is extremely dumbed down). Civ 4, on the other hand, is an extremely enjoyable game, one of those games with endless replayability. The AI goes from easy to really hard, depending on the difficulty you choose, there are loads of civilizations to play, and some of the user-made mods out there are absolutely amazing (one adds something like 50% extra to the tech tree, with new units and buildings too!). If you want recommendations of mods for Civ 4, send me a PM. Again, it's dirt cheap at Amazon. -
Hi guys,
Please recommend me a good co-op PC game that can use two Xbox 360 controllers!
-
Try Trine / Trine 2?
Cooperative Puzzle+Action Platformer that can be played with up to 3 players. As a bonus it has really gorgeous graphics.
