Mass Effect 2![]()

^LOL mass effect 2 is EPIC! don't forget the name!
a few call of juarez shots...the game is pretty fun.
-
Some Mass Effect 2 shots. I'm glad I could get it to run well on my laptop, runs a little better than ME1 even though there's often a lot more going on.
Unfortunately I have to run it at 1024x768, and then it goes and letterboxes during all the cinematic scenes. Still looks pretty though.
I love the atmosphere in this mission.
I also love the cryo blast power!
I was so busy taking this screenshot, I forgot to actually ask her.
Paragon Shepard: Time to save the world.
Renegade Shepard: Not if I can help it!
(both shots taken at the same exact spot, just changing the side of the box I was looking at)

Um, spoiler warning for the ending scene would have probably been a good idea.
-

can't figure out how to spoiler hide it. Just edited it to say scene from a cinematic. so it could happen anytime
-
Grrr, you're telling me I just saw a pic of the end scene in ME2?! Spoiler alert would have been nice!
Regardless, great pic's guys! Keep 'em coming. -
You could just link to it without showing it.
-
Finally, back in the Zone... S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat. I love it, the greatest one yet. XD
Truly random emissions now, that spawn different monsters and artifacts. NPCs seek cover during them, I spent a few minutes in a cave talking to a bandit while hiding from an emission. lol The world feels more alive than ever. I stepped to close to a blind dog and growled and got more aggressive as I got closer then attacked. This game has blown me away... XD -
I saw some pictures of the saboteur, a highly underrated game if you ask me. I'll upload some pictures after I get my new BIOS and PSU...
-
Nice pics. I used to like the first STALKER a lot but I just couldn't get myself into this new one. The animation of the characters and guns felt too weird to me (perhaps it's because I've played too much Mass Effect 2 recently) and the graphics felt dated as well even though I was running it at maxed DX11 settings @ 1920x1080 on my new desktop (Core i5 + ATI HD5850 @ 5870 clocks).
Here's some DX11 DiRT 2 pics on maxed settings but no AA. (edit: updated some new sandy pics at the beginning with AA now.

And at last I just got my hands onto the Sea of Dreams.

I thought this looked epic in the trailer but couldn't find a decent screenshot of it in game so I just took my own
that's with everything on 4xAA, Specular map, shadows, and all the settings on extra.
obviously i don't play like that
i have everything tweaked down and get about 30-40 fps
-
Lol, 6FPS.
Looks nice though. I wish I could play with 4xAA. -
These dirt 2 DX11 screenies always look nice! For some reason the actual gameplay doesn't look as good as the screenshots. Im not saying the game has terrible graphics (it has amazing graphics..) Im saying it looks like im looking at a picture of a real rally race or something through the screenies
same thing when I pause it during a replay.
Does anyone notice any significant differences while playing in DX11? I use DX10/DX9 and I dont see any major changes. I know DX11 has cloth tesselation and some other water affect but is that it? -
Glad you like the DX11 screenies.
I thought DiRT 2 looks really nice too but for me I think the gameplay actually looks better than the screenshots.
I've taken hundreds of screenshots in DiRT 2 and most of the time when I look at my screenshots afterwards I always thought it looked and felt better when I was actually playing the game.
Few weeks ago I played it at DX9 max settings on my notebook and now I play it on DX11 max settings on my desktop, the only difference I noticed is that in DX11 the sunlight and the light effects in general looks way brighter than in DX9, other than that I don't see much difference. -
haha me too
alas i only had it on for taking that shot, and getting there was a damned nightmare at 6fps. (i get 20-40 with my normal settings which is impressive considering what its running on)

Cinematic Mod V10 FTW!
On my laptop, at 1920x1200, maximum graphics memory usage = 1022MB!!
Edit: I'll post some shots when I have the chance. -
Yea, I'm using one of the older versions. The graphics of the new ones are even better, but I can't stand how the characters were changed...

From batman arkham asylum. 4x AA everything highest/physx high

Dude that GT-R looks so sweet
Nice rims too -
Yea that skyline is nice. How does it handles in the game?

Oh man now I want a GT-R in my GTA4!
-
well right now it replaces the uranus wich is a fwd car so it doesn't handle that great but im thinking about replacing the comet with the GT-R so it has the AWD sports car feel.

Heres some from AVP running in dx11 (running on dx10 card so dx11 hardware features such as tessellation are off) AO (ambient Occlusion) and motion blur are also off. everything else is maxed out. They are all predator for now ill try and get some others up later.
i didnt wanna thumbnail these but i also didnt want them resized for quality reasons. these are bmp files so they are about 4mb each if you have slow internet you have been warned lol -

Man, those are great. Look at that lighting and bump-mapping!! His fingers look real with the wrist comp.. -

Who said FWD is a bad ride? That's why i race my real life 95' Civic right? -
i drive a civic also lol. just feels weird to have a Skyline GT-R that is fwd.
-
Is it just me, or does the art style of that game look kind of cartoonish in some spots?
-

cartoonish
hmm must of not watched the same cartoons
jokes set aside i dunno what you mean as i look at all screens and dont see it. -
The fourth one is the worst, the textures on that silver box thing seem to have no depth, same with the hand...and there's something not quite right about the lighting either. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

So, if you use a Radeon 4870 for this game in DX11 mode, will tessellation be enabled (the Radeons have had tessellation for quite some time, since the Xbox 360 days)? -
Some more batman arkham asylum! Dont worry, no spoilers. This game is amazing with phsyx and all settings at high. 4x AA 1200p. Slowly becoming one of the best games I've ever played...
-
yea that game sure looks awesome...dam i gotta pick that game up sooner or later! just ordered halo: reach from amazon though (my first game to ever pre-order, that's how excited i am!). if you havent seen the vidoc, watch it...it's AWESOME!!!

Radeon 4870s can't run in DX11, only up to 10.1. As for tessellation, as I remember, every ATi GPU since the 2000s has had built in hardware tessellation capability, however, from what I've read, I do believe the old Radeon 8500 had some sort of primitive version of tessellation support that pretty much went unused. The problem is that no version of the Direct X graphics API had it until DX11, though I'm sure programmers could've hard coded the GPUs to do it if they wanted to. The 360's Xenos GPU also has a tessellation unit, though it's used on rare occasion. However, thanks to DX11's tessellation support, we should see much more use of it. It's a practical idea, since it means data can be manipulated mathematically to become more detailed at close visual ranges as opposed to using different levels of polygonal modeling like most games to do for various levels of LOD, which would take up more video memory to store and render. -

Doesnt the game get released tomorrow and the EU version at 4th or 5th ?

Meh
Wish they would at least let you preload it on steam, waiting till the last day is just painful
-
well i played the single player quite alot, its not bad actually, dont rate it as high as Mw2 single player tho
-
I am surprised you can play GTA4 maxed at 2560x1600.
What sort of frames are you getting? -
Yeah, right lol..

It's not cool that people who have friends that work at game stores sometimes get copies early.
Oh and if you pirated it, then you sir, suck. -
I believe that the best way hit people is simply boycott the game. Downloading pirated copies of games simply re-enforces thier warped DRM view.
Absteining is my choice.
Besides not as though i didnt have to pay for it (well the girlfriend did!)
